The booking and check-in was very smooth. The lobby is impressive with a 24-hour front desk service. We checked in late in the night and were very impressed with the generously size 3 bedroom apartment with four full bathrooms. Our family of four became six after two nights and five for the next few days. In the last four days we were only four people in this huge apartment. All was going well until the day… Our grandson came back from London Zoo with face paint which we later decided to remove before he went to bed. We used one of the towels (wetting it) and got the paint out. Agreed that 1/20th of the towel was stained which is typical but having done that several times back home, we knew it needed just one wash for the colour to get off the towels. My husband got a call a few hours later on the apartment phone, from one of the reception staff by the name of Mr. Krzysztof, telling him that there was blood on the towel and it was ruined. Several points to make here- when you assume something or go on heresay you always give the other accused party a chance to respond. My husband told him it was face paint but Mr. Krzysztof stood his ground also ignoring the black paint that was with the red paint (spider man theme ). Secondly, he did not ask how the guest was if he had seen “so much blood”. He could not be bothered and said we had to compensate for the towel! I went downstairs a little while later and had a conversation with him in a stern tone but never raising my voice. He refused to believe me so I asked to speak with the manager. He called the manager and told him that I was screaming in the lobby. The second staff at the front desk is proof to the fact that I did not raise my voice. Viola! The manager voiced the same words as Mr. Krzysztof and said it was blood! All based on what was told to them by housekeeping who did not speak a word of English. I told him that this was a insignificant cost to the company if at all the towel was ruined and he said it was not as they were “a small company” and could not absorb the cost. I didn’t know that there were many meanings to the term “small company”. It also meant that you had to go to front desk to get extra sheets, you are given only seven towels as that is the number of maximum guests allowed in the apartment of that size and no more (they actually made me go and check how many towels and hand towels I had and report back to them so they could decide if I could have more) and also, all the toiletries are just a starter kit as per the manager. You have to then use your own and nothing is replenished. There was one day that two towels were not replaced in one of the bathrooms and they refused to believe me that the towels were not replaced. What is it with these towels! The conversation ended with me asking them to wash the towel and see the outcome. A wet towel came back to me a little while later, with tiny smears of red still on them. I washed it in the apartment , completely back to its sh

Mia moglie ed io abbiamo pensato che fosse un'ottima esperienza, tutte le strutture in camera erano fantastiche, ma il servizio è stato molto deludente, non potevo credere all'atteggiamento del Marriott. Sono rimasto solo per una notte e ho pagato la colazione il giorno del check-in, ma quando ho fatto il check-out mi è stato chiesto di pagare di nuovo la colazione e ho parlato diverse volte con la reception ma lei non mi ha ascoltato ed è stata molto indifferente e mi ha appena detto di pagare. Ho chiesto di vedere il manager ma era ancora molto indifferente e alla fine mi hanno detto che andava bene. Il manager di turno quel giorno e quell'impiegato non hanno nemmeno sorriso un po ', ancora molto freddi e maleducati. Sono sempre stato attratto dal servizio eccellente e dalle strutture perfette del Marriott e ho soggiornato in altri hotel Marriott in tutto il mondo e questo è stato davvero deludente per me. Penso che il tuo hotel dovrebbe formare meglio il suo personale!

Ottima posizione vicino alla Metro. Camera pulita e molto carina. Presente in camera, bollitore con te, caffe, una bottiglia d'acqua e biscotti vari. Colpisce la tranquillità nonostante la zona centrale. La signora che ci ha accolti è stata molto gentile e disponibile. Per chi la desidera a disposizione la colazione (a pagamento). Esperienza decisamente positiva, ci torneremo. Assolutamente consigliata.
Best Western Swiss Cottage Hotel

Enjoyed a weekend break in this charming hotel which is well served by Swiss Cottage underground station. The room was a good size to accommodate a family of four. Staff we found friendly and accommodating. We would stay here again when next visiting London as found it ideally placed in a quiet residential area but only a short ride on the tube out of central London.
Holiday Inn London - Camden Lock

I have been staying at the Holiday Inn in Camden on and off for a few years now (before and after COVID) and have seen it change management a couple of times over the years and remained loyal as it works as a great location. However over the past few months there has been a noticeable change in the customer experience and I must say it makes this place special. They understand their customers, adapt to each of their needs, can never do enough for you and are just so delighted to see you and welcome you to the hotel. Whilst the whole team have impressed me, I must call out Bianca who is sensational, her level of customer expeience is as good if not better than any I have experienced over my years travelling across countries. Thank you to Bianca and the whole team
