Hotel vicino a Spiaggia di Tulum Sud, Tulum

I found this property Ujo have good reviews on Trip.con and wanted to give it a try. I preferred apartment style stays cos the convenience of having a kitchen allows flexibility for diet-restricted people. The place looked modern and clean. Pretty spacious and functional. Has a balcony with a (not so grande, lol) view of the neighborhood. It was so hot outside even in November, like a sauna, so we didn’t spend anytime on the balcony and kept windows and doors shut to prevent heat and bugs. The AC and two ceiling fans in our room helped greatly for temperature control, making our stay comfortable. Note: the AC only works when you use the key card in the room — inserting it in the power slot and then AC can be turned on. Without a note about it, I thought the AC was not working. But glad the lady there helped to call and figure it out. Simple as that. The bathroom is interesting. It’s mostly good, got a ceiling shower and worked well. They provided organic wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The only part that didn’t make too much sense is the short half wall that is functioning as a divider between the shower part and the dry part of the bathroom. Water would easily splash out — it felt like it was designed for shorter users and didn’t account for a lot of tourists that are tall. Perhaps add a good old shower curtain? Mostly for the property’s own benefit of not getting the floor wet where it shouldn’t be. I sent a request when I booked the room for the hosts to spray bug sprays in the room prior to my arrival. They quickly acknowledged that after my booking and did that before I checked in. Much appreciation. When we checked out, we left our luggage to the host for a few hours. They are very helpful to put them away.  Also this place has bike rentals on site for a good price compared to what we saw outside of the property.  Finally, let’s talk about the overall area. We chose it also because it’s close location to ADO bus station as we came from Cancun via bus. We don’t have any interest in the crazy taxi prices and want to walk as much as we can. So this walkable property (less than 10minutes from Tulum ADO bus station) worked. I also chose it because it’s not on the Main Street where I looked at a lot of properties and found noise complaints. I cannot handle noise past 10pm. I need my rest. So overall, Ujo was quiet in itself, no really close-by clubs, no rooftop parties, and other visitors seemed respectful and not loud after 10pm. BUT, here is the reality, this is a town with many stray animals. And they sleep during the heated day time, and get active at night. So there were barking and meowing for sure that can pierce thru. As well as some traffic sound and remote club noises. Don’t expect 100% tranquility. I am fairly picky about noise but I would say given the town’s reality, this is a very decent spot. I was able to sleep thru the nights without much issue.  Overall the stay met the score it had on Trip.com (9.6/10) when I was booking. If I visit Tulum again, or if someone asked for a recommendation, I would stay/recommend this place.

Estamos extremamente surpresos com Ana y Jose! Que hotel incrível! Instalações limpas e novas, chuveiro e cama perfeitos, WIFI rápido e com um staff gentil e educado. Fomos de lua de mel e fomos extremamente bem tratados. Café da manha delicioso!

I honestly don’t understand how this hotel calls itself a 5-star property. My whole experience here was extremely disappointing from the moment we arrived. Service is absolutely terrible. Nobody helps you with anything, reception doesn’t care, and every time you call the front desk or concierge, nobody answers the phone. Zero hospitality. Food was honestly disgusting. Nothing fresh, no flavor, very low quality. Drinks taste like water — literally no alcohol. Even the cups and glasses in restaurants were dirty. It feels completely unacceptable for a resort that is supposed to be luxury. We also had a very unpleasant situation with the membership “presentation” scam. They invited us to a “lunch to learn about the brand,” but in reality, it turned into a pushy timeshare-style sales pitch. None of this was explained honestly beforehand. When we complained, the front desk staff was rude and dismissive, as if this is normal. On top of that, I forgot my dress in the room. They admitted they found it, but for two days they ignored me, didn’t contact me back, and didn’t send it. I kept calling and messaging, and still no response. This shows how bad the communication and customer care truly is. After during checkout they asked us to sign the paper that we have no problem with the hotel and requested we write a good review about them. Ridiculous. Overall, this hotel is not worth the money, not even close to 5-star standards, and definitely not the luxury experience they advertise. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, honest, and professionally managed resort.

La famiglia di quattro (compresi 2 adolescenti) è rimasta a Conrad nella stanza 3307 per una settimana. Abbiamo una vista sull'oceano, 2 camere Queen e abbiamo scelto il Club Ceiba. La stanza è stata una delle camere più grandi e distabili che abbiamo goduto in vacanza. Le strutture erano fantastiche e ci sono state offerte le attività che ci sono state offerte. La baia di fronte offreva un'ottima snorkelazione con diversi grandi riepi che avevano molte scuole di pesce interessante, e vi abbiamo anche visto raggi di diverse dimensioni, che erano eccitanti. Le sedie di spiaggia erano sempre disponibili, e ciò è stato una sorpresa, visto che abbiamo letto che potrebbe essere problematico. Il cibo e il drink al Club Ceiba sono stati costosi, e abbiamo scoperto che i primi giorni che il resort non era occupato, quindi Ceiba ha offerto a la carta cibo dai ristoranti. Abbiamo anche beneficiato dello status di Hilton Gold, quindi siamo riusciti a girare due della nostra famiglia attraverso il fantastico buffet per colazione a Arbolea. Abbiamo cenato a Marakea (Mediterraneo) e a Autor (Michelin Mexican restaurant), entrambi buoni, ma Autor era fuori. Tornerebbe certamente.

L'hotel è bellissimo e divertente, ma ha lasciato un'impressione miste. Alla nostra arrivo siamo stati benvenuti e abbiamo avuto una visita alla proprietà. Tuttavia, dopo abbiamo scoperto che il cenote era una delle ragioni principali per cui abbiamo scelto questo hotel e era in ristrutturazione, e questo non era stato comunicato in anticipo. La costruzione ha iniziato alle 7:30 e continuato tutto il giorno. Il rumore mattinale non era troppo disturbante, ma durante il giorno, quando il lavoro principale avvenne, si è fatto molto forte e polvere intorno alla piscina, e i lavoratori passavano costantemente, che ha influito in modo significativo sull'atmosfera generale. Il piano della nostra stanza era incongruo, e in un giorno, il puliziatore lasciava le tute sporche sul pavimento. La posizione è buona se si cerca un luogo tranquillo e lontano. Svegliamo i suoni degli uccelli e vediamo le larve intorno alla proprietà, che era bella. Ciò significa tuttavia che è necessario che si trovi in qualsiasi luogo, perché vi è una piccola infrastruttura nelle vicinanze, e per noi non è stato un problema che ci è stato davvero divertito. L'hotel è ben progettato in stile boho e sembra stupendo.Nonostante le difficoltà, mi riferirei ancora a tornare un giorno.

Very nice small hotel at the start of the beach street. Can grab a taxi from centro to get there for about 300mxn. If you dont mind walking then its easy to just walk along the tulum beach street to reach any restaurant or beach club. The room was very nice with an outdoor shower and bath although the wooden floor there was rusty with nails pointing out which was as dangerous so that has to be fixed. Reception was very helpful and even gave us recommendations for restaurants and events for the night. They have their own beach access and loungers so its very convenient as its right on the beach. Breakfast was advertised and its a light yoghurt with little bit of granola and fruits with filter coffee and juice and two pieces of toast for two people. Breakfast has room for improvement in my opinion. Overall good experience for the price. No coffee machine in the room although it is shown in the listing images, usually hotels include those for free. There was some camping right next to the hotel which seemed weird, not sure what that was as it also had access to the hotel through stairs connected to the hotel.

Abbiamo avuto un'esperienza meravigliosa nel complesso per i nostri 7 giorni trascorsi all'Hotelito Azul! Siamo andati con un'altra coppia e ognuno ha soggiornato nelle Oceanfront Suites (eravamo sopra di loro, erano al piano terra). Le stanze erano pulite e spaziose. Spazio di archiviazione un po 'limitato per i vestiti, ma abbiamo sfruttato al meglio le scaffalature / pensili fornite. La doccia è un sogno. Il servizio di pulizia puliva la nostra camera ogni giorno e ha fatto un ottimo lavoro! Abbiamo adorato le prelibatezze lasciate sui nostri cuscini ogni giorno. AC era tuo da controllare. Una sfida che abbiamo dovuto affrontare che avrebbe avuto una semplice soluzione è stata la mancanza di tappeti nella stanza. Stai camminando attraverso la sabbia per raggiungere la tua stanza e sì, c'è un secchio d'acqua da sciacquare prima di entrare, tuttavia eravamo alla disperata ricerca di un piccolo tappeto da esterno o solo qualcosa ai lati o ai piedi del letto per spazzare via la sabbia prima di arrivare a letto. È interessante notare che i nostri amici al piano di sotto avevano un fantastico corridore ai piedi del loro letto, quindi forse solo la coerenza con questo avrebbe fatto un'enorme differenza! Ti svegli con un cestino carino con il caffè ogni mattina e ti riempiranno di acqua potabile quanto ne hai bisogno nella stanza. Non possiamo dire abbastanza cose positive del personale. Comunichi con loro tramite What'sApp che offre risposte rapide a qualsiasi domanda o dubbio o quando ordini cibo/bevande. Larissa, il portiere è stato MERAVIGLIOSO. Ci ha accolto ogni giorno e ci ha fatto sentire come a casa e coccolati durante il nostro soggiorno. Ha aiutato a riempire il viaggio con esperienze meravigliose che si tratti di tour, ottimi punti locali per cibo/bevande o logistica. Abbiamo noleggiato scooter dall'hotel la maggior parte dei nostri giorni di vacanza e ne è valsa la pena. Abbiamo trovato che i prezzi dall'altra parte della strada erano più economici, tuttavia ci è piaciuta la comodità di affittare tramite l'hotel. Il cibo e le bevande dell'hotel sono tutti deliziosi, anche se abbiamo imparato rapidamente che mangiare e bere sulla spiaggia diventa costoso, quindi abbiamo scelto saggiamente quando/quanto abbiamo mangiato in hotel. Questo viene solo con la posizione. La posizione fisica dell'hotel è ideale perché non è troppo lontano dalla striscia di spiaggia, il cui traffico è diventato piuttosto cattivo man mano che si guidava. L'estetica e i dettagli dell'hotel sono perfetti per farti sentire come se stessi vivendo in una giungla stravagante. Cordiali saluti a tutti coloro che cercano di rimanere sulla spiaggia di Tulum, durante aprile-novembre o giù di lì, Tulum ottiene un'enorme quantità di alghe che rende quasi impossibile nuotare nell'oceano. Gli hotel, incluso Hotelito Azul, fanno del loro meglio per rimuovere quante più alghe possibile dalla spiaggia, ma amico, è una battaglia in salita. Sfortunatamente, questo limitava la nostra capacità di sederci fuori sulla spiaggia, perché l'unico sollievo dal caldo era la doccia esterna. Che, di nuovo, è incantevole, ma non l'oceano. Fortunatamente, Tulum ha così tante altre cose meravigliose da fare che non abbiamo ritenuto che questo abbia avuto un impatto significativo sul nostro viaggio. Coloro che viaggiano durante i mesi migliori hanno un'incantevole area fronte mare da non perdere all'Hotelito Azul. Nel complesso, abbiamo adorato il nostro soggiorno in questo hotel e non vediamo l'ora di tornare in futuro! Grazie a tutti!

Il mio hotel preferito! Ho anche celebrato qui il mio matrimonio. L'hotel è bellissimo e ci sono due musei con lo stesso splendido stile. Se anche a voi piace l'ecologia originale, non esitate a prenotarlo direttamente. Il panorama è invidiabile, dovete assolutamente scegliere una camera con vista mare. Questo è un hotel in cui dovrete soggiornare almeno una volta nella vita!

I started out in my younger days staying at 3 star hotels working myself up to 5 star hotels these days. On this recent weekend trip i held back on my post xmas spending and got a great deal at Kore so I took a chance on it despite all the negative reviews. I think the 1 out 5 star ratings are ridiculously unfair. Rooms were big, clean, and comfy. Location was decent and had great views of the sea. I only had breakfast as I like to get out and explore, so I couldn't tell you much about the quality of food. The waiters were good, as soon as I sat down, my coffee was poured. After they recognized I tip, I never had to wait in line to get my omelets...lol. best part was the service from the front desk concierge (the Mexican soap opera looking guy) Victor. Dude was always so nice and helpful. Upon checkout, I had a late flight out, he knew that I love bike riding, so he let me keep my bracelet to have access until my shuttle arrived. I did not experience most of the issues on these reviews. English speaking staff was a challenge, but i found that was an issue everwhere I was in Tulum. Overall, if you were to go by the strict AAA guidelines, this hotel would probably recieve a 3-3.5 rating and closer to a 4 by the generous booking sites. This was no Hyatt, but a good value. Dont let those 1 star ratings discourage you. My rating does not include the quality of food...
