Hotel vicino a Aeroporto di Aberdeen-Dyce, Aberdeen

Hotel fantastico in grande posizione di Aberdeen. Ci piaceva avere una piccola cucina con lavastoviglie per cibo di base. Camera molto pulita e decente dimensione. Il personale era molto amichevole.

I stayed overnight in Aberdeen and chose the Mercure Aberdeen Caledonian Hotel for its convenient location near Union Square and the train station. While some areas of the hotel reflect its age and could benefit from modernization, the rooms were still comfortable and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff and concierge were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay. Their professionalism and warmth more than made up for any shortcomings in the facilities, and they left a very positive lasting impression on my experience

First impressions. Checked in. The receptionist told me room 204. I asked if on second floor. (Sounds simple but if you have travelled alot some places have ground floor at street level and other call that first floor. Numbering then can get confusing.) Yes was the reply. Second floor. Wrong. Third floor. Not room 2xx, room 3xx. Handwritting on card holder was not very clear. Border line illegible. Solution. Take time or use a printer. Room was OK for cost. Breakfast was very poor. Breakfast rolls were stale. Croissants also stale. (One of the best bakers in Aberdeen is exactly opposite the hotel.) Bacon appeared to be of good quality but was cold and rubbery. When it was cooked and how long it had been on the buffet is not know. I know it was too long. Sausages, scrambled eggs and baked Beans were also cold, watery or just been out too long. The hash browns were really bad. Coffee was weak, orange juice had a tinny taste. Table design was poor. All of them seemed to be unstable. (Base way smaller than table, single leg, many had paper napkins stuffed under the bases attempting to stabilise the poor design. This is not very hygienic. Solution. If you can't replace them get larger bases and attach to single leg.

The Chester is close to town and a quality hotel that we suspect would be rated higher if it had the gym and pool and spa that many five star hotels have. But, they are not needed. The room was a good size, with all necessary facilities. The common areas of the restaurant are of high standard and the food was excellent. Our room had a couple of minor issues. The shower door leaked a littlw, but caused no problem. The deadlock on the door dod not engage, but we were not concerned as there was a locked door between our door and the public areas. We will happily use again, particularly as the prices were reasonable and the standards and quality were very good in our experience.

Ottima struttura. Un po’ carente la spiegazione del parcheggio al check in (chi arriva per la prima volta è parecchio spaesato e sarebbe utile un aiuto)

L'hotel è stato bello con una grande stanza e personale utile. Non sono un fan del bagno con una tenda da doccia, ma questo è probabilmente il mio unico negativo.

Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo e posizione, posizione, posizione! L'Aberdeen House offre un rapporto qualità-prezzo fantastico. Ho soggiornato per 3 notti al secondo piano, la camera era pulita, piacevolmente calda e, nonostante si trovi su una strada principale, il rumore esterno era minimo e non ha disturbato il sonno. Il personale è stato disponibile e si è offerto di pulire la camera ogni giorno. In camera sono presenti bollitore, tè, caffè e bustine di latte UHT e zucchero. Ciò che rende l'Aberdeen House eccezionale è la sua posizione, proprio di fronte alla stazione ferroviaria e degli autobus intercity e a pochi passi dal terminal dei traghetti per le Isole Orcadi e Shetland. Si trova anche proprio di fronte al centro commerciale Union Square, con negozi di marchi internazionali, un'ampia scelta di caffè e ristoranti e un cinema Cineworld. Nelle vicinanze si trovano anche numerosi negozi, caffè e ristoranti indipendenti.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stayed here for one night with my wife and had a great experience. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. A comfortable place to stay, perfect for visiting the castle nearby. Highly recommend this hotel!
