MMeyjiI stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and felt like home, the view of the sea is really beautiful. The location of the hotel is very good, close to Venice and the beach with beautiful seagulls. Unfortunately, this hotel does not have a safe deposit box. There is no problem with hot water in the bathroom for 4 people as long as you know how to use it. I am very grateful for the service of the room staff, Miss Li Feng Jun, who was very helpful and felt like family, and also the staff at the reception who were very helpful.

Dal momento in cui sono entrata nella hall, sono stata accolta da una fragranza meravigliosa, che in seguito ho scoperto essere quella dei prodotti da bagno dell'hotel. Mi è piaciuta così tanto che ho persino acquistato la crema corpo con la stessa fragranza. 😍 Situato su una collina, l'hotel offre una vista mozzafiato sul ponte Xinghai, così bello che non volevo nemmeno andarmene. A dire il vero, ho finito per annullare il mio programma solo per trascorrere più tempo in hotel! Anche se è leggermente distante dal centro città, non c'è motivo di preoccuparsi: i taxi sono sempre facili da trovare e non abbiamo mai avuto alcun inconveniente. La camera era assolutamente bellissima e immacolata. Non solo le condizioni della camera erano perfette, ma ogni membro del personale che abbiamo incontrato è stato incredibilmente gentile e attento. Vorrei esprimere in particolare la mia gratitudine a un membro del personale di nome Zora. 💘 Dopo il check-out, mi sono accorta di aver lasciato dei vestiti in camera. Anche se ho contattato l'hotel una settimana dopo, lei è stata molto gentile a controllare, mi ha inviato foto tramite WeChat e mi ha aiutato a recuperare i miei effetti personali. Le sono davvero grata per il suo aiuto. Se dovessi tornare a Dalian, tornerò sicuramente al The Castle. YYeekoLa posizione è fenomenale!!! Splendida vista dall'alto. Puoi guardare in basso e vedere la città e il mare. La vista notturna è spettacolare. L'hotel è molto pulito! Avere abbastanza servizi per alcuni giorni. Tuttavia, se vuoi che la tua camera sia pulita, dovresti fornire all'hotel dettagli specifici su ciò di cui hai bisogno, ad esempio portare fuori la spazzatura e pulire il letto o aspirare il pavimento, ecc. Non l'abbiamo fatto, abbiamo solo chiesto di pulire la stanza e solo la spazzatura è stata portata via ma la stanza era ancora così com'è. Inoltre, in questo momento sono in corso importanti lavori di costruzione dalle 5:00 alle 22:00. Quindi se il rumore ti dà fastidio, scusa ma non puoi farci niente :(. Il letto scricchiola molto, i cuscini sono morbidissimi e il posto è molto confortevole. Non prenoterei sicuramente di nuovo d'estate. Grazie ~

UUtente ospiteMost of the staff do not speak English at all! Only the guys at the reception speak good English and all questions had to be resolved with them, including the restaurant menu - no one in the restaurant, even with my use of a Chinese online translator, could help me with questions about the menu and when I asked the person at the reception to help me understand the menu, it turned out that the kitchen could not cook either the first course from the menu or the second. With dietary restrictions and allergies, you can die of hunger here.
I consider it unacceptable to have non-English-speaking staff in a franchise of an English establishment.
The cook at breakfast talks on the phone right at the place where food is prepared during breakfast. I wanted to ask him a question about the dishes on the first day - he was texting on the phone, on the second day he was directly talking on the phone.
The dishes at breakfast are either not named at all or are named only in Chinese.
There was no seller in the store at the hotel no matter how many times I went in to buy a T-shirt. In the end, I tried on what I was interested in at the store, chose it and went to the reception to pay for it. The next day, a salesperson appeared in the store and told me that the T-shirt I bought the day before had a 20% discount for a month, but when I paid for it, I paid it full price and thus I was deceived by 20% of the cost of the T-shirt and did not give any receipt.
The pool is very small and not deep for such a huge hotel. If there is someone else in the pool besides your partner, there is not enough space.
The sea near the hotel is dirty. Nothing is suitable for swimming - there are no sun loungers, there is no space on the beach specifically for the guests of the hotel. The beach is across the road from the hotel.
There was only one coffee machine at breakfast and it didn't work both days. You could ask a restaurant worker for coffee.
The hotel by the way has a cool energetic staff and that's nice. The room cleaning is high-quality.
There are renovations going on at the hotel and guests can't use all the hotel areas.

I can sum up my stay in one word: exceptional value.
The room was very spacious with a million-dollar view, all at a very friendly price. There is a washing machine in the room, and hot water was not an issue at all during winter. Just a small tip: avoid showering while the washing machine is running, as it seems to draw the hot water away. At first, I thought there was a food warmer or stove, but this room does not have one. However, the staff kindly allowed us to use the microwave at the office.
The host was incredibly helpful and always replied very quickly on WeChat — so fast that I honestly wondered if they ever slept! 😄
The bedding was clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was smooth and flexible; we could easily request cleaning or refills on the days we needed them. If there is one area for improvement, I would suggest renovating some details, such as repainting areas where the paint is peeling and re-sealing the sink edges and other parts of the bathroom.
There was a slight cigarette smell in the room, but it really depends on how sensitive you are. For us, opening the window for ventilation or using a spray solved the issue easily. Some noise from other areas was noticeable, as there is a gym on the same floor, and during our stay it was New Year’s, so there were some party noises. That said, this can happen anywhere and is not something the property can fully control.
Getting there was easy — we took a taxi directly to the hotel address. Check-in is on the 23rd floor, Room 19, where they provide the room number and access code. Wi-Fi is available, and only a passport is needed for registration. For check-out, simply notify them via WeChat.
Around the hotel, there are a few small local eateries within walking distance, though we did not notice a convenience store nearby.
Overall, I would rate this place excellent. I’m not judging it by hotel star standards, but by value for money — and what we received was far beyond what we paid for. Highly recommended!

The service was nothing short of exceptional. The staff greeted us with genuine warmth and were consistently attentive without being intrusive. Whether it was the concierge offering insightful local recommendations, the housekeeping team maintaining impeccable discretion, or the waitstaff being both knowledgeable and patient, the level of professionalism was uniformly high. It felt less like a transaction and more like being welcomed into a well-managed home.
The facilities were equally impressive and clearly designed with guest comfort and convenience in mind. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully appointed, blending modern amenities with a sense of comfort. The common areas, from the lobby lounge to the fitness center and pool, were maintained to a high standard, offering beautiful and functional spaces to relax or rejuvenate. Attention to detail was evident everywhere, contributing to an atmosphere of refined relaxation.
As for the food, it was a highlight of the experience. Dining was a pleasure, with a menu that offered both classic favorites and inventive dishes. The ingredients were fresh and of high quality, each meal was beautifully presented, and the flavors were consistently excellent. It was clear that the culinary team takes great pride in their craft, making every meal something to look forward to.
In summary, my experience was outstanding across the board. The impeccable service, superior facilities, and delightful cuisine combined to create a perfect stay. I left feeling thoroughly refreshed and already looking forward to the next opportunity to return. This establishment has truly mastered the art of hospitality.

TtravelandeatThis hotel's location is genuinely brilliant, right in the city centre next to the Zhongshan subway and plaza, and for this price point, you really can't ask for better. The staff were friendly and helpful despite the language barrier (Google Translate sorted us out fine), and the cleaning team were lovely too.
The room was decent and properly clean, I checked for dust and there wasn't any. However, the hotel is quite old, and there was some mould on the ceiling and in the bathroom and shower curtain. It didn't bother me personally, but worth noting, and a bit of spray would be great. That said, Dalian was incredibly humid when I visited in late August, so I suspect this is partly a climate issue. Even my own towels wouldn't dry properly. The place was quite busy, mainly Chinese customers, but they were quiet and discreet.
Practical bits: they provide two bottles of water daily and disposable paper towels (which actually came in handy given the humidity). The room also had a washing machine (bring your own detergent) and you can hang clothes outside on the 9th floor veranda. There's a bus stop right outside with direct services to Xian Lu (shopping and basement food market) and the Transport University area night market, the subway goes straight to the airport, and you're walking distance from the main tourist spots like Russian Street, the old tram etc. Plenty of restaurants nearby too. And two convenience stores on ground floor. This place accepts foreign tourists and check-in was quick and easy. Internet was fast but slower in the evenings.
Honestly, some of the complaints I've read here seem a bit harsh considering what you're paying. You get what you pay for, and at this price point in this location, I think it's fair value. I'd stay here again, especially if travelling on a budget. Thank you, we had a lovely time in Dalian!

however If you looking for a privacy friendly please avoid this hotel.
The house keeping team had entered my room 2 times within the 4 days during my stay.
A not-disturb card was hang as well as the not-disturb light was also turned on.
Upon the first enter, I had went to raise the issue with the hotel. The initial reply was the not-disturb card might be ‘moved’ when I opened the door for exiting. Little that they know I had took photo when I make myself leaving the room. On top of that, the no-disturb light was also on too even they falsely claimed card was moved.
Then the hotel replied that ‘oh no, they must of entered the room to tidy up the room’. Yet, the room was NOT tidying up at all.
Again, what’s the purpose for them to enter the room without my consent and my present? I questioned by expressing this may be a careless mistake which I do not wish to happen to anyone anymore, then I had left the scene and leave it as it is.
It HAPPENED AGAIN next day, I was frustrated and questioning the hotel again. They said they will ‘investigate’ and given me an explanation of what was happening. 2 hours later they rang to my room, and informed me that ‘due to you are staying alone with no companion, it is the policy of the hotel to check up on me to make sure I’m safe’
Really? ARE YOU SERIOUS? This is what they replied me of the case. Number 1, if this is the actual reason, why don’t they tell me the first time when this was happened. Number 2, I had clearly stated I do not wish to be disturbed and yet it has not been respected. Number 3, due to the nature of my occupation, I’m staying in different hotel 9 months out of the whole year. I had never ever heard of this.
Long story short, I will not going back to this hotel nor recommend to anyone.
