SStellakwansyStaying at this hotel in Zermatt was an unforgettable experience! The location is perfect—just 500 meters from the train station, making it incredibly convenient. The highlight of my stay was the warm hospitality from the owners, Thor and Michele. They personally served the buffet breakfast every morning, which was both delicious and thoughtfully prepared. On my first day, I unfortunately missed breakfast, but as I was heading out around 10:45 am, they surprised me by reserving some food for me to enjoy before leaving. It was such a thoughtful and touching gesture that truly made me feel cared for.
The room itself was immaculate and had everything I needed. The balcony offered a stunning mountain view, which was a perfect way to start and end each day. Thor and Michele went above and beyond to make me feel like a VIP throughout my stay. They remembered my name, attended to every need, and even took the time to explain the local attractions and recommend food options based on my preferences.
I feel incredibly lucky to have secured two nights at this gem of a hotel, especially since it’s almost always fully booked. This was one of the most personal and heartwarming stays I’ve ever had. If you’re visiting Zermatt, staying here is an absolute must. Thank you, Thor and Michele, for making my trip so memorable!

IIzzaPizzaThoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The excellent service rendered by the staff made our honeymoon much sweeter. Everyone was friendly, kind and always willing to help. Room was really nice and the extra sauna and open concept bathtub was a nice surprise! Breakfast spread was super delicious as well. Facilities like the wellness area include foot bath, infrared chairs, jacuzzi etc.

UUtente ospiteBeautiful hotel!! Even though hotel was a few streets away from the station BUT free shuttle service is available. Hotel service was so good including free consultation on activity planning in Zermatt. Would definitely go back to this hotel if I’m coming back to Zermatt in future!!

UUtente ospiteThe hotel was in 5 minutes walking from Zermatt train station and it offered free shuttle for check in and out as there was a steep path to the hotel entrance, not good to walk with luggages. I booked 2 bedrooms family suite but only with one bathroom which was the downside. However, the total space of 60 meter sq with a decent living room and a small balcony facing Matterhorn were a plus to the overall stay. There were some minor defects and the staff fixed efficiently. They had an indoor pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna room. I had to mention that the jacuzzi was of high standard and you must go after a day of hiking. So bring your swimming suit. However, please note that in there culture, no clothes are allowed to enter the sauna room and it is in mixed genders. The breakfast buffet was lack of choices. But I had to specially name Mr Fernando, he always welcome us with very good coffee and of course his warm greetings in the morning.
Suggestion to the hotel:
1. Stated clearly the number of bathroom/ toilet in the booking details regarding my booking is a 2 bedrooms suite.
2. More choices for breakfast, my family stays 4 nights there. Everyday, the menu is same.
3. The pool was closed at 8pm, will be better if it closes at 9pm as it was rather rush for the guests to use after dinner.
Overall, I recommend this hotel to family. I will come back again.

UUtente ospiteChe tipo di hotel di Sheng è questo?Non si aspettava che la prenotazione fosse fatta, perché Shelmat aveva un giorno, quindi voleva trovare una casa vicino alla stazione ferroviaria. Non ho pensato che l'hotel fosse molto conveniente non solo sulla posizione geografica (sotto è la strada commerciale), ma anche sulla buona struttura hardware e la colazione.Poiché è vicino alla stazione ferroviaria e al treno montano, è completamente possibile salire sulla montagna alle sette del treno primissimo fino all'ultima stazione Gornergrat e vedere il sole Jinshan. Inoltre, la reception dell'hotel Panna è molto gentile. Ci ha presentato la strada per salire sulla montagna, come trovare la direzione del viso nero e aiutarci a prenotare un ristorante molto delizioso.Grazie ancora per l'ottimo aiuto dell'hotel Panna e Zoe per il nostro viaggio.

UUtente ospiteSuper bella camera d'albergo, nuova e pulita, con una vibe molto cottage. Il colazione può avere una diffusione leggermente più ampia se possibile. Hotel non dà servizi come la spalla, la cottura, il cappotto della doccia. È ancora un grande posto per soggiornare con una grande vista!

IInFiNiTy BenZIl personale era costantemente amichevole e utile durante il soggiorno, sempre disposto ad assistere quando necessario.
Dopo l'arrivo a Zermatt e la Bahn Gornergrat, si consiglia di chiamare l'hotel in anticipo per poter organizzare il pick-up del bagaglio alla stazione Riffelberg. Il trasporto del bagaglio da solo può essere molto difficile, poiché il percorso implica camminare attraverso le aree di neve e di sci.
Uno degli evidenti punti di vista di questo hotel è l'atteggiante e senza ostacoli vista della Matterhorn. La montagna è chiaramente visibile dall'area dell'hotel e non c'è bisogno di andare da nessuna parte per godere di questa vista iconica.
Il jacuzzi all'aperto è una caratteristica meravigliosa, ma in alcuni giorni la temperatura dell'acqua non era abbastanza calda, rendendo confortevole l'uso solo in determinate occasioni.
Il pranzo è servito come un menu di corso. Ogni sera, ci sono due opzioni principali: una di carne (che cambia ogni giorno, come carne, suino o pesce) e una di vegetariana. La qualità alimentare è molto buona e deliziosa, ma il servizio è relativamente lento completare il corso completo richiede circa due ore.
L'hotel è ben attrezzato con un ascensore che offre accesso a tutti i piani, che è molto conveniente, soprattutto quando si portano le proprieta'.

CCoey NiewFour of us stayed for one night in two rooms at Alpenblick Superior during our trip to Switzerland. The location is about a 10-minute walk from the train station. Our room had a beautiful view of the Matterhorn, and it was very clean and peaceful, as it's not located near the main street. Do note that you'll need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste.

UUtente ospiteZermatt is an expensive town so we were happy we could save a bit with the hotel. We were worried at first based on the reviews saying it was a bit noisy but we had no issues up on the higher floor we stayed on. We would recommend this hotel if you're staying for just a night or two and are looking to control your budget while in Zermatt because eating out and the activities here are expensive.
The room was just a place to sleep. We had two twin beds with slats underneath that were a bit loose and they fell out when I sat down but after we fixed it we found the beds to be comfy enough. The rooms are dated with older furniture and a mix of furniture and lighting. There was a small TV and a DVD player but we saw no need to use them with all the things to do and see in Zermatt. We did hear a little bit of noise from the bars at the street level but it wasn't too bad. If you get a lower floor you may want to consider bringing your own earplugs.
The bathroom was interesting. There was a pretty big jacuzzi style bath tub with a shower head attachment - I am tall and I had to sit down to shower but my shorter wife had no issues. The bathroom had a towel warming rack with an interesting extension to hang light clothing but it did not warm. The lighting was a little dim but the lights above the sink did not work and those would have helped.
The breakfast at the hotel was nice and they had a nice variety of fruit, breads, Swiss cheese and some hardboiled egg. They had juice, milk and could make coffee to order as well. The hotel had laundry machines and some popular restaurants on site.
The location is the best part about this hotel. It is a 5 minute walk to the train station and very centrally located. It is close to the Gornergrat Bahn, Matterhorn Museum and the church Eglise St. Mauritius. The viewing platform of the Matterhorn at the church is great to watch the sunrise hit the tip of the Matterhorn and it is not too busy so if you have a clear day it is worth the short walk and getting up early. We went in early November so not all the hotels, shops and restaurants were open yet but there was more than enough open to keep us happy.
The hotel does not have an elevator and the stairs are a little narrow so do not bring too much to visit Zermatt. We loved Zermatt and appreciated this hotel for its affordability and location. If you are not looking for anything too fancy the Hotel Helvetia will work for sleeping and some down time.
It is important to note that Zermatt does not allow cars but we found parking affordable and accessible at Täsch railway station and very frequent train service to and from Zermatt.
