From the moment we arrived at Roku Kyoto, we felt completely taken care of. From the warm greetings we received as we got out of the taxi to the genuine smiles and hospitality given to us at Reception. There is a pride that exudes from everyone at Roku Kyoto, and for good reason. It is an absolutely extraordinary hotel. But it's not just the beautiful accommodations and the incredibly thoughtful design throughout the property. Nor is it just the sumptuous food stunningly presented at every meal. It is the people who work there and represent the true heart and soul of what the Roku Kyoto experience is all about. My wife and I have traveled all around the globe and we have rarely encountered such a level of excellence. The architectural design, the interior design, the facilities and the grounds are all stunning. In fact, the photos from their website do not do it justice. The room we had on the 4th floor was gorgeous and the bed was perhaps the most comfortable bed we have ever encountered (and we travel often!). The tranquility, the views, the attention to detail throughout the hotel are are not just glorious but absolutely inspiring. The gorgeous pool is filled with water from the natural hot springs that abound in that area of Kyoto. It is a sumptuous experience to swim in that very special pool. We only had breakfast at the hotel, but it was the best we encountered in Japan. The food was beautifully prepared , the choices were extensive and stunningly displayed and the service was impeccable. In fact, service is another thing that sets this extraordinary hotel apart. It's not just well done, there is a pride and a joy that emanates from every member of the staff, no matter what their position. It's what gives this place true heart and soul and it's what elevates the experience. We will never forget our stay at Roku Kyoto and cannot wait to return! We would like to especially thank Kayo Naskagawa. Her attention to detail, her inherent ability to go the extra mile for a guest. Her sweetness and ease. Her ability to listen and use that information to heighten the Roku experience for a guest. Kayo, for us, represents everything we love about Roku Kyoto and why we cannot wait to return.

Hotel is conveniently located next door to a subway station. It is a few stops from Kyoto station. There are many stairs and no escalator or elevator when you exit the subway so not the best when you have luggage. Front desk’s staff English is quite limited, which surprised me given that Hyatt is an American chain and most guests were American while we were there. There are two Nespresso coffee machines in the lobby but no milk. There are three laundry machines on the lobby level. Each machine serves as both a washer and a dryer and takes 120 minutes for 600 yen. People lock their load with a code and you end up waiting for a long time waiting for someone to show up to remove their laundry. Room is tiny, the size of a closet. Our room had two twin beds and a sofa bed for a single person. There is no room to move. There are no sheets in the room so we called to ask for sheets. The person who answered the phone did not know what sheets mean so we had to go to the lobby and describe what we need. The language barrier is real. Our room was on top of a road and we could hear almost every car that went by. It does not seem like the hotel invested in good windows. Make sure to pack ear plugs. The bathroom is quite small and has a weird setup with a shower next to a bathtub. Front desk staff is also not helpful with recommendations for places to eat. They show you a barcode that lists restaurants, but do not provide recommendations. We found an excellent Indian restaurant very close to the hotel. You exit the hotel and turn to the right towards the subway, pass the dry cleaners and cross the street, you will see a mini-mart and then a basement with an Indian restaurant. They open at 5 pm for dinner. It is very inexpensive and delicious. I recommend the butter chicken and cheese nan. Front desk will print for you, there is a charge of 10 yen per page. There is no concierge and staff was too busy to respond to questions about how to get places, instead they offered a map. Breakfast gets busy so be sure to get there early. They offer rice, curry, soup, fish, fruit, bread, coffee, juices and more. The egg is extremely runny and when I asked the attendant if they have egg that is better cooked, she had no idea what I was saying. I would not stay here again because of not being able to communicate with staff and because the room is so small.

Cinque minuti a piedi dalla stazione JR Kyoto ３, cinque minuti a piedi da due stazioni alla terminale della linea est della metropolitana, molto conveniente, vicino alle tre strade del centro commerciale più lungo di Kyoto. The Okura Okazaki Bettie is a beautifully designed modern hotel and was the perfect choice for our combined business/leisure visit to Kyoto. The location was reasonably close (short taxi ride) to excellent restaurants and sights in the culturally historic area east of the river. The guest room quality, cleanliness and comfort is excellent - finished to a high standard with large windows overlooking the garden below and temples beyond. Breakfast was served in the restaurant overlooking the hotel's own zen garden. The choice of either ”Kyoto”or ”American” breakfast was amazing, beautifully presented bento style, exceptionally fresh, plentiful and delicious. Indeed this was one of the best hotel breakfasts ever. Finally the service level is exceptional. Both management and staff did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable and hassle free. Neither the most nor least expensive option in Kyoto - just simple great value. We look forward to returning next time.

I am currently staying at Hotel Intergate Kyoto Shijo Shinmachi for the second time due to its fantastic location. It is conveniently located near popular tourist destinations and an MRT station. Additionally, guests can enjoy complimentary drinks, coffee, or chazuke in the lobby lounge during different period (except the breakfast time). Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its location and amenities.

地下鉄四条駅から徒歩5分ほどでどこに行くにも非常に便利でした。おしゃれできれいなこじんまりとしたホテルで、ベッドの寝心地もとてもよかったです。スタッフの皆さんも感じよく親切で気持ちよく過ごせました。 サービスではなく部屋の設備部分やシステムに不満がありました。 今回は6連泊しましたのでホテルは早割でリーズナブルなところを選び、価格的には大満足でしたが、やはり値段相応の設備でした。部屋が狭くスーツケースを広げるのがやっとで、クロゼット、衣類用引き出し等がなく、荷物の置き場に苦労しました。部屋の清掃のたびに荷物を片付けなければならず、面倒になり清掃は1日おきにしていただきました。使用済みタオルとパジャマ、ゴミを部屋の外に出して新しいものと交換するシステムです。 ベッドサイドに個別の明かりがなく（ベッドボードのところが全体的に明るくなります）、ツインで利用する場合、自分のところだけ明るくできません。また入り口天井部分と居室天井部分の電灯はスイッチが一つで個別につけたり消したりできません。1，2泊なら問題なく過ごせたのかもしれませんが、今回は日増しに不便さがつのりました。TVにイヤフォンジャックが付いていたのは便利でした。 浴室のシャワー設置箇所（上下2か所あるうちの上の部分）が高く、160㎝の私でやっと手が届く感じです。160㎝以下の方はシャワーの調整に苦労するかもしれません。同時に宿泊した友人の部屋はシャワーヘッドを止める金具が壊れていて接着剤止めしてありましたが、ぐらぐらしてシャワーを置けない状態でした。 カードキーでエレベーターの操作と部屋を開錠するシステムですが、支給されたカードキーが反応せず毎日カードキーを取り替えていました。連泊なのに支払い明細が日にちごとに分かれ個別の予約扱いのようでしたので、チェックインの際に毎日チェックインしなければいけないのかと確認したところ、ホテル側でまとめておきますとの回答でした。このことがカードキーの作動不具合に関連しているのでしょうか。また、このアンケート依頼のメールも宿泊日数分発信されています。曜日によって価格が違うので連泊扱いができないのかもしれませんが、予約の際も手間がかかり不便でした。 3月半ば過ぎから価格が倍以上に急騰しますが、この設備では見合わないように思います。 部屋が窮屈で不便でも、地下鉄の駅と繁華街に近いことを優先する短期滞在の方向きのホテルです。

Beautiful hotel, right in the shopping district, 5 min walking to Nishiki market very close to Gion, and the river just behind the hotel. The Onsen was Definitely one of the highlights in our trip, just what we needed after long walking day. The Roof bar is amazing with view and calm atmosphere I’m goanna definitely recommend this hotel

La metropolitana e gli autobus erano vicini, e la stazione principale è stata solo una semplice camminata 15-20 minuti. L'unico piccolo punto di svantaggio era che ci erano solo pochi ristoranti vicino, ma questo era qualcosa che potevamo facilmente pianificare.
