Definitely worth a VISIT. Dreamy garden. However I feel I should make clear a few points for future guests. We stayed two nights. It’s worth staying in the king chalet with wet and dry kitchen and complete amenities, vast living area with fire place, dining, full size verandah and extra toilet. Not worth paying for the twin room which was just a room without any of the above. Not even a fridge. And both chalets are priced not too far off. Mispricing there. The website shows this wonderful stand alone tub BUT there isn’t enough hot water to fill it up. Hot water fills half way and then it goes totally cold. After that no one has hot water for couple hours. Bathroom has beautiful slippery tiles. Unfortunately both old ladies slipped and fell. Knocked their heads and bruised hands. The heated flooring advertised is non existent. It gets dark early. After dinner we walk back in the dark. It’s a distance from the car to the chalets. The garden was dark, uneven and very unsafe for old folks. Not advisable for seniors to stay the night. Seriously. The only bright spark was the staff Mr Lee. He is such a gem. It was dark and pouring after dinner. He waited for us as we got back with umbrellas and walked one of the old ladies back to the chalet step by dark wet step. This staff is truly commendable. He tried his best to make our stay comfortable.

We didn’t stay at this resort but decided to visit anyway. Beautiful garden especially the hydrangea. Quite yet season now so we have the whole garden to ourselves . There’s a short trail to the river. Love the surroundings. The photos would prove it! On the way you’d pass by the Kinabalu Golf course which I would recommend to any hinders! It’s the highest green in whole Malaysia!

Situated in a remote isolated location. There are few cottages within this area. We have to drive past lots of bad bumpy road and to a path filled with pebbles stones and mud before reaching our destination. The place is beautiful, lots flowers, biggest effort goes to the gardener and housekeeper. Cabins or chalets are clean, Bali cum bit nordic style, spacious and comfortable. No TV, but you have access to the sound bar. Modern clean luxury toilet. There are no in house cafe or restaurant. We were given torch light to lit us the way into our rooms/cabin at night. As it's remote, it can be a little scary given no security at night. The caretaker gave us his number and he supposedly stay in one of the cabin. Although no in house cafe, we were given vouchers for breakfast at nearby cafe along the main road. The good is seriously good and gives us some comfort. In summary, spring garden is a large garden area with lots of beautiful flowers beneath Mount KK which usually appeared around 6am to 830am, 12 noon and 5pm to 630pm.

This is probably the most beautiful place to stay in Kundasang. Go for the King Suite if possible, it’s a bit more but you get a huge living room, dining and a large balcony with Kinabalu views, heated floors and 2-3 times the size of the twin room. The grounds are beautiful, the flowers lush and verdant. Get your brekkie taken away and eat at balcony. Get up early (by 7 am) for clear skies and stunning views of the peak from your balcony.
