Hotel in zona Dan Kao, Ko Chang

I really WANT to call Serenity perfect but some things just were not. With all the 5 star reviews perhaps my expectations were high but I couldn't help feeling a bit disappointed. I'll give a detailed account of our experience four days at Serenity Koh Chang. Check In The road is very sloped and our driver initially couldn't figure out where to let us off. We had to take our luggage down a pretty steep rocky area (where it could not be rolled) which was less than ideal. At check in we were met with a man who was smiling the entire time we were there and provided stellar service but never gave his name. Anything we asked he jumped on immediately and with a smile. Check in went smoothly and we were assisted with our bags to villa #3. The Villa Perhaps my biggest disappointment was the villa. It's very cold and impersonal in style. It doesn't ”fit” at all with the gorgeous setting. There were some cleanliness concerns that I overlooked (food stains on the couch pillows). But mostly, it just was drab and many things weren't thought through. There is NO WHERE in either bathroom to store your toiletries or your dry clothing. Hooks on the door or a small shelf over the toilet would go a long way to making the otherwise nicely finished bathrooms more user friendly. The bathrooms / drainage are extremely noisy. If someone used the bathroom in the night I was wakened by the resulting gurgling in my bathroom. It's all very ”bare bones”. Nothing was bad but it just didn't hit the mark and I found the bathroom situation (with no where dry to place anything) to be very frustrating. Be prepared to encounter a lot of critters of all types. I expected this but I didn't expect so many inside the villa. The mourning geckos hanging out in every curtain and the bathrooms making noise all night was very annoying. I know it's hard to control but I have to question how so many geckos were getting into the villa. We even had a large tokay in ours. I have no idea where or how they were getting in because we did not leave anything open. Also, it's very poor design to have all the villa windows align with each other. I really disliked having curtains open because I was then looking either directly into another villa OR worse into the storage / workers area which was often noisy with workers and scooters going in and out. Having to close heavy black out curtains in a beach villa is not desirable. Our TV didn't work properly but that was quickly resolved. The kitchen sink faucet was wonky. The beds and linens were quite comfortable and towels were nice, plentiful and soft. The rooftop hot tub / patio area had issues. The hot tub lights never worked (we only used this one night). And during the day it was intolerable due to work going on at a neighboring villa. This was pretty upsetting as I tried multiple times to just go relax on the rooftop only to be met with the high pitch squealing of tile saws and hammers. It was anything but serene. T

La piscina è stata molto piacevole, la spiaggia è stata molto piacevole, la gente è stata molto gentile e gentile, il resort è molto verde e si sente molto tropicale, con molti alberi di palma. Il cibo non era grande sul lato con, ad esempio pollo rosso sotto cotto, torta di mango dolce, ecc. Sorprendentemente cattiva per la Thailandia. I puliziari non hanno davvero pulito i bagni, né hanno sostituito le cose fornite gratuitamente in bagno, raccogliere le piastre sporche dalla stanza. AC era il centro - piuttosto alto, e coloro sensibili non trovavano il letto o le mutande comode. In generale, era tutto a posto, ma non mi rivolgerò.

Il resort è bello. Era ben illuminato e molto bello. Le camere sono grandi. Se avessi saputo, avrei potuto prenotare solo una stanza e avere un letto extra per mio figlio, quindi non mi sentivo male pagare di più per questa vacanza Songkran. Il personale era molto accogliente. La nostra stanza non aveva carta da bagno e tessuto, ma ci fu dato dopo averci chiesto. La luce della porta non funzionava, ma non appena li avessimo informati, fu ascoltata subito. Il personale era grande. Tuttavia, non era solo per la famiglia. La piscina era molto ampia e così invitante, ma era profonda per i miei figli; era difficile salire dopo una goccia perché i bordi erano grossi; c’era anche una piscina per i bambini, ma era vuota per loro. Suggerisco questo resort a coloro che nuotano bene e amano nuotare in piscina olympica. Sicuramente li piacerebbero. Non c'era molto da fare in fondo, è un grande momento per rilassarsi sulla spiaggia, soprattutto durante il sole. Hanno una palestra attrezzata (gratuita) e una sala da massaggio (dovremmo pagare). Puoi caiacare per 100 baht all'ora, che abbiamo fatto andare all'isola intorno al resort. Ci sono ore felici in pomeriggio. Il colazione non è così male. Prima di prenotare, dopo aver letto le recensioni, ero eccitato per colazione. È buono, ma non è il migliore rispetto agli altri hotel che abbiamo soggiornato con lo stesso prezzo.. In generale, penso, sulla base delle recensioni che ho letto prima di prenotare, è un ottimo hotel, purtroppo, non ha appena adattato il standard della nostra famiglia.

Molto bel hotel, purtroppo un po' abitato, ma comunque molto bello. Avevamo un bungalow direttamente sul fiume vicino, che era bello dalla posizione, ma era molto standard arredata dall'interno e piuttosto abitato. Inoltre, è stato molto facile. Ma questo si mantiene in limite, si può vedere oltre. Ci sono 2 bellissime piscine nell'impianto con sufficienti piani di letto. Inoltre, un servizio di barca a navetta gratuito è offerto alla spiaggia e ai Firefly. Se hai un problema, però, aspettate molto tempo per la navetta fino a quando non ne prendete uno con voi o perdete il ritorno (18 ore), allora si deve tornare a piedi circa 25 minuti (navi o conoscenza locale necessaria). Il buffet per colazione purtroppo non è consigliabile, la scelta è molto piccola e deliziosa anche non così bene, quindi preferire per un piccolo colazione fuori per soldi. Il servizio in sé era completamente buono e pulito è l'impianto anche. Da questa posizione, un rullino è vantaggioso, ma non è necessario, in 15-20 min passeggiata si raggiunge anche il più importante. Il WiFi nelle camere è ok, basta per Netflix. Ma non è adatto per il lavoro vllt.

Nice and quiet We had been this place and we decide to come back because of it really nice hotel ,the thing we like is staff very nice and friendly, room are big and clean , quite pool area, beautiful garden. A bit far from restaurant and shop but you take motorbike to go around the island just contact at reception, also our activities like snorkeling, elephant trip .

Traveling to Koh Chang on Songkran Day, if the Accor Group uses benefits, it must be considered. Mercure Koh Chang Hideaway booked a Standard room but was upgraded to a Deluxe Seaview room and received Platinum benefits. Quite complete. The room is okay. I like it because I have to pay only 1,402 baht per night. The room is full due to a long holiday. I'm glad I upgraded. I have reserved 3 rooms, there are welcome drinks for all 3 rooms. For dinner, most of the guests leave their stomachs at the Buffet Hotel because it is Songkran Festival. Accor Plus cannot use the discount at all. The price is not expensive, only 530 baht per person, but.. Phra Chuay Thai food is delicious. Anyone staying here recommends trying Thai food. The happy hour here is satisfyingly long from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Anyone who eats the buffet will receive a buy 1 free 1 promotion until 10:00 p.m., very worthwhile. The highlight of this place is a lot of photo angles, and taking beautiful photos, but the beach is not okay, which is a weak point. The sea water is hardly played because there are a lot of rocks. I mostly stay at the swimming pool 100% recommend if anyone sleeps here to relax and snorkel on the last day, come back to swim at the pool, take chic photos and eat buffet 🙂 Breakfast is quite suitable for Thai people, focusing on spicy Thai food. It also has my favorite pizza. The hotel has a Starbucks on the beach but does not participate in a star or membership program. For me, April 13-15 is a rest day. I'm pretty happy here. Let's just say for Accor members or group members. If anyone comes to Koh Chang, recommend here. You can get both nights and points. If there is any problem during your stay, I suggest you don't wait, hurry and share with him. He knows the problem and is ready to take care of it immediately. Come to Koh Chang next time, Mercure is still our choice.

This place is heaven on earth! The welcome at reception sets the tone for the rest of your stay! We arrived with back packs from Pattaya and We were treated like VIPs. Absolute top class! Staff are amazing! Food was amazing. The rooms are outstanding and the local town is warm and friendly! The random visits from monkeys is an amazing addition! But be aware, they actually do creep up on you and open your room doors!! Staff aren’t joking! We’ve stayed on many islands and many places in Thailand but our expectations were exceeded here. The grounds are well kept, the surroundings are superb! My only disappointment was that the tides were high so we didn’t have any beach during our stay! (No fault of Sylvan!) I just hope the cost doesn’t get too high that they price us out of spending another break there next year!

Bel resort, la parte migliore è la piscina privata per ogni camera. La palestra è un po' fatiscente ei ristoranti non fanno buon cibo tailandese. Ma il ristorante accanto sulla spiaggia offre cibo tailandese straordinario, con il quale sono chiaramente in competizione poiché la differenza è così grande. quindi forse non provano nemmeno a fare del buon cibo tailandese e si concentrano sull'occidentale, dato che i loro hamburger e la pasta non sono male, anche se la pizza è insipida. Quindi sicuramente vai al ristorante accanto sulla spiaggia, non al ristorante del resort. top 5 nel livello di qualità della Thailandia. abbiamo alloggiato nell'edificio a 3 piani con le piscine private non le cabine, che non hanno le piscine. ne vale la pena per il prezzo leggermente scontato per la stagione.

La posizione è buona, come è sulla strada principale con posti locali e 7-11 a piedi. La camera è grande e la piscina è buona per nuotare. La spiaggia offre un grande posto per guardare il sole. Il servizio in camera è veloce e il cibo è buono. Tuttavia, il wifi è estremamente debole e non affidabile. Anche io ho chiesto una stanza tranquilla e un piano di sopra.L'hotel mi ha dato una stanza sul pavimento con gli elefanti che camminavano in camera di sopra e gli elefanti continuavano a muoversi. In generale, la posizione e il personale sono ospiti, ma non rimarranno qui perché molti dei piacevoli ristoranti intorno.
