La camera doppia che abbiamo prenotato era composta da due letti singoli, che non erano nemmeno alti da un lato. Era scomoda e le strutture erano troppo rudimentali 😂

This place is very good with friendly staff on the quiet side of one of the best beaches on the island. Highly recommended.

Ho trascorso 4 notti fantastiche allo Ziggy Stardust! Ci sono stato una volta anni fa e devo dire che i miglioramenti apportati dalla nuova gestione di recente sono incredibili, tra cui l'aggiunta di aria condizionata in tutte le camere, la ritinteggiatura, l'elettricità 24 ore su 24, 7 giorni su 7 (non sempre è così altrove a Koh Phayam) e un'enorme estensione del ponte al ristorante per guardare il tramonto. Il cibo era delizioso al Brew Lagoon. La colazione era inclusa e comprendeva molte opzioni, tra cui vegetariana e vegana. Hanno un ampio menù con molte opzioni che non troverete ad Ao Yai, il che è un bel cambiamento rispetto al tipico menù da spiaggia di altri resort. Per non parlare del fatto che hanno la loro birra artigianale + vino alla spina! Il personale è stato eccellente e sempre molto gentile e disponibile. Le camere erano pulite e a pochi passi dalla spiaggia. La posizione è tranquilla e silenziosa ma comunque a pochi passi dalle altre sezioni di Ao Yai. Consiglio vivamente di soggiornare qui!

My partner and I had a blast during our beachfront bungalow stay right before Songkran 2024. The room was clean and had everything we could ask for. We opted for the transfer service from the airport to the pier and then straight to the resort – talk about convenience! ✨⭐️ Our room was spotless upon check-in, and one side of the window faced the ocean, making it a dream to wake up to those stunning views right from our bed. 🌊 Breakfast was a treat! We were offered a choice of freshly made sandwiches or wraps that were absolutely scrumptious. On my last day, I tried the Thai rice boiled soup, and it was a flavor explosion! 🤤 And the highlight? Swimming with plankton at night right off the beach where we stayed. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Just a heads up, this activity requires caution, but it's definitely worth it for the magical glow! ✨🌊

Booked at Ziggys for 5 nights and were lucky enough to add 5 nights. It's one of those places where you can just chill and relax. Very clean room. Waking up and walking to the beach for a morning swim. Eating a yummie fresh burger and drinking a freshly brewed beer while overlooking the Andamam Sea for lunch....... priceless! The staff is great and always helpfull. Can't wait to visit again next year!

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. Ziggy Stardust has been transformed from a beautiful paradisiacal location to a tacky gordy tourist trap. The new manager has decided that basically no Thai food on the menu and no Thai beer is a good idea. Gone are the days of some of the best food on the island coupled with well priced Thai beer cans, only to be replace with a disappointingly predominantly western menu with the only beer being a craft beer at THB180 per glass, served from a very tacky tuk-tuk on the deck. The renovations to the room were well overdue and credit where credit is due the rooms are massively improved. The bed is comfy and the pillows are nice, as is the inclusion of a safe and mini fridge. Unfortunately that’s where the positives end. “Assistant manager” is rude and unwelcoming, completely unlike what Ziggy Stardust was before. The new manager seems to have no clue of what this resort was and should be. It used to have the most amazing menu of Thai food with some western staples, only to be replaced by a western menu with an insulting three Thai dishes. To top that off it is now displayed on an extremely tacky light up menu display above the “bar”. Throughout our trip the restaurant was empty every night, except New Year’s Eve. There is also no breakfast menu at all for guests, which seems a weird choice as you are essentially asking an entire resorts worth of paying customers to spend there money elsewhere. The location is still amazing but I worry for the direction the new manager is taking this resort in. It breaks my heart to write this review, as someone who has been coming to Ziggy Stardust since 2016, but the new manager has taken something special and removed everything that made it so.

Ziggy Stardust is an established resort situated on the West Coast of the island of Koh Phayam. This is my second time visiting the island. The resort is now under new management and is currently being upgraded in all areas. I was happy with a Fan Room, with connected bathroom, hot water and and 24 hour electricity. My friends requested rooms with A/C, those rooms are some what more spacious and a bit closer to the beach. Each room has a balcony and hammock. Beds are comfortable and clean, clean towels are available upon request. Soap and and body wash are also available in each bathroom. The new managers of Ziggy Stardust are brining their expertise in beer making and baking to the resort. During my stay the menu, and was limited, but the Pizza's were excellent as well as the draft beer. The staff was most friendly and accommodating in request we made, I suspect in the next few weeks to months the upgrades in both the rooms, kitchen and grounds will be complete, making this a very popular place in Ao Yai, Koh Phayam.
