Welcomed warmly by the receptionist very talkative and friendly. The room we were given was quiet and large. The bathroom had one towel for 2 people ( noticed this in the last 2 premier inns) 2 towels should be standard. The bathroom had seen better days, dirty, worn, mould, black stains, flaking plaint, watered down shower gel which was useless & fan didn’t work. I wouldn’t recommend staying here in height of Summer as no air con but this is advised on the website. Restaurant next door had rude staff & the whole place was rough & grubby but only had one drink. The breakfast cereals were left out all day in the coffee area so anyone could have messed with these. Health & safely should be totally removed to avoid any contamination & refilled each day. We didn’t eat here and I’m glad we already booked at a pub in Wentbridge. The receptionist was the highlight. Lovely lady and even gave us complimentary free chocolate. It’s a very underprivileged area and I’m not sure after reading other reviews how safe the carpark is so be aware.

The room was great only bad thing was the breakfast. Booked a table for the breakfast the day before at the desk, when we got there in the morning we were waiting at the bar for 15 minuets, when someone finally came we told them we had a table booked only for him to say sit anywhere. There was hardly any breakfast left at the buffet and when we went to go take a seat all the tables were full except one which still had dirty plates and cups on it. Overall the breakfast was an absolute shambles.

Friendly staff, spotless room, comfortable bed, and very good value rate for our stay on a Friday night on our trip to Scotland. The hotel is situated conveniently close to the A1M and the M62, but there was no traffic noise. Excellent breakfast. It was good to see the hotel's green credentials with an impressive array of solar panels.

ABSOLUTELY spotlessly clean and fresh room, out of this world comfortable bed, hot water constantly, very nice to have own kettle and tea and coffee in room but can also collect more at front of the reception when needed, can use an iron and ironing board, very friendly staff, and hotel housekeepers are a credit to pontefract premier inn, they are friendly, welcoming and bubbly and will do anything to help, twice I’ve stayed here I will be back! Amazing thank you

Fabulous service. I'm staying here the night before my wedding. Most of my family are staying tonight and tomorrow. Monica was so professional at sorting out every one checking in and who is and isn't having breakfast. And when I got to my room she had left some special treats (chocolates and wine) for me. The staff helped me bring in my dress, flowers and my belongings too. Can't fault them. It's the little touches that make a big difference to the experience

Excellent stay, really helpful friendly staff, especially the restaurant! Great food! No surprises, rooms as usual were great, clean, windows open which is a must for me! No lift, which was no problem but for some might be! Easy access to M62!

Amazing stay! The rooms are always spotless and clean here. Can’t fault it at all. All the reception team are amazing also! :) clean, comfortable and just simply the best in the area. If anyone needs a place to stay choose here because I couldn’t recommend it enough

We were very impressed with the help and welcome offered at reception here, and although the hotel is near the A1 and M62, the double glazing shuts out background noise brilliantly. Excellent beds and everything spotless, as Premier Inn generally deliver. Breakfast was fine, but we were a bit underwhelmed by our evening meal. Perhaps we were just unlucky, but the only draught ale was unavailable, then my choice of dessert too (explained with disarming bluntness: "there's no crumble, what do you want instead?"). Fish and chips was OK, if a bit mean with the chips; my wife thought her veggie lasagne was 90% tomato and bland. Reasonable value overall, but nothing special.

We were met by a friendly receptionist who checked us in swiftly. The room smelt fresh and the beds looked inviting after a long journey. On closer inspection there was an open bottle of milk wedges in the open window. We handed this into the receptionist on our way to dinner and thought no more about it. When we returned to our room the receptionist knocked on the door and gave us a box of chocolates to apologise for our room not being 100%. We appreciated this gesture very much. After a fab breakfast we are ready for our onward journey. Thank you Premier Inn Pontefract!

Easy to use website, even for me easy to find plenty of car parking space Helpful friendly staff when I checked in clean spacious room – even had the window open when I got here on a hot sunny day so the room wasn’t stuffy great nights sleep both nights on the comfortable bed no traffic noise or any other for that matter – really quiet hotel – I noticed all the fire doors have got some sort of spring mechanism so they don’t slam when people are coming and going at all different times of day and night breakfast was amazing – plenty of choices of food types and I love the never-ending cup of tea or coffee i.e. buy one and drink as many as you can this is my second stay at this hotel and I definitely recommend it I’ll be using the place again when I need accommodation in the area. I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE VERY STRONGLY – I’m in business with myself and I’m pretty sure I couldn’t make a profit at the Kean prices they charge – well done premier in and especially the team that I’ve met

Lovely touch for Mother’s Day with the daffodils in the reception, room was nice and tidy. The receptionist was very polite and pleasant and very helpful to find things in the local area. Would definitely come back and stay again when up seeing family.

I've stayed at premier inn Pontefract North multiple times over recent months due to my work. Members of staff very helpful and welcoming. The restaurant on site and its food has been very good. Everytime I've stayed its been a good experience.

We stayed here on Valentine’s Day as we were going out for drinks in Pontefract. Lady on reception was very friendly, the room was nice but maybe slightly worn and dated. The bathroom has some small mould growth which you don’t expect to see in a premier inn. Not bad for the price we paid and we had a full night sleep, no noise from other rooms which was nice :)

This Premier Inn was used by us as a family of 4 during a stay away from home during half term. The room was as to be expected. A double and 2 singles. Not much room between the beds but again to be expected. With it being an older premier inn the bathroom consisted of a bath with a shower over (our preference), good water pressure and plenty of clean towels. The beds were OK but not particularly comfortable. The biggest issue we experienced was sounds being heard from outside our room. We could hear people walking around above us, very clearly walking not stomping & also voices from outside our door. The voice were so clear that multiple times we thought people had walked into our room by mistake. This can be very unnerving and uncomfortable when you’re in bed. These people were not shouting they were just talking as they walked to their corridor. I’m not sure we would stay here again mainly due to interrupted sleep & shock of thinking someone was in your room due to their voice being so clear. But it was clean enough & serviced its purpose.
