Le camere e l'hotel sono moderne e chic, la colazione ci ha anche piacere nel tipo di presentazione e la selezione. Nel hipster Studio prenotato, una piccola cottura con frigorifero, sono pratiche anche bluetooth altoparlanti per il smartphone. Tuttavia, il hipster Studio non ha certamente i 32qm elencati! Personale molto amichevole. In sintesi, ci è piaciuto, al momento anche un buon rapporto prezzo-prezzo.

Wir waren in einer Gruppe von 12 für 2 Nächte in 12 einzeln genutzten Zimmern Anfang Mai 2022 dort. Zudem hatten wir 2 halbe Tage einen Meeting room mit Service angemietet. Ich habe solche Treffen schon öfters organisiert und kann daher feststellen, dass zum ersten Mal alles funktioniert hat. Alle Anschriften, Rechnungen und organisatorische Vorbereitungen passten vorzüglich. Die Zimmer waren modern, nicht überladen, sehr funktional und sauber. Der Check in sowie die dortige Betreuung während des gesamten Aufenthaltes war absolut top. Das Frühstücks-Buffet war überraschend umfangreich und abwechslungsreich. Die Bar wurde zwar „nur“ von der Rezeption mitbedient, reichte aber absolut aus. Dieses Haus ist für Städte-Reisende und Geschäftsreisende gleichermaßen empfehlenswert.

Wir waren enttäuscht: Im Februar 2022 nur Zimmerfrühstück ”wg. Corona”, welches man am Vorabend bestellen und die Lieferzeit angeben musste. Standard-Zimmer einschl. Bad sehr klein, Zimmertür zum Vorflur ließ sich nicht schließen (Bett im Weg), einfache Ausstattung. Wir wussten überhaupt nicht, wie und wo wir unser Frühstück einnehmen sollten. Die vier Sterne haben wir nicht gefunden. Dafür sind rd. 133 Euro + 15 Euro Tiefgarage pro Nacht zu viel. Positiv hervorzuheben ist die Lage mitten im Zentrum, das überaus freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal, die hauseigene Tiefgarage, in die man auch mit einem großen Auto kommt (allerdings muss man für Ein- und Ausfahrt sich jeweils eine Karte an der Rezeption holen und anschließend gleich wieder abgeben), freie Minibar (4 Flaschen).

L'hotel è situato in un bel edificio storico, che è ottico, ma significa anche che l'isolamento del rumore e il riscaldamento sono un po' datati. Il riscaldamento era più di una questione in primavera, ci vuole molto tempo per riscaldare la stanza. Non c'è problema se dormite in una stanza fredda, ma per il mio partner era troppo freddo. L'ascensore in legno è un monumento storico (un monumento tecnico), che mi piaceva per il mio interesse nella storia e nella tecnologia. Non aspettate un dispositivo molto moderno, tuttavia. Inoltre, l'edificio è mantenuto in stato di lavoro nonostante la sua età, anche se alcune riparazioni potrebbero fare miracoli, che avrebbe potuto essere un grande hotel quando è stato costruito, e ha ancora il potenziale se dovessero ripararlo. I absolutely hate to give negative marks to anyone, but I feel that it is my responsibility to warn business travellers in particular about what seems to be going on at this hotel and, I am afraid, might well be going on across across the Novotel chain. I also want to alert their senior management who appear to have been deaf to comments passed to them by staff on the ground. I have used this hotel for almost 20 years for my occasional stays in Karlsruhe. It is clearly the first choice for business travellers to Karlsruhe: perfectly centrally located, superb transport connections, with all modern conveniences, very good and varied breakfast buffet, very helpful and unusually friendly staff and up until now well appointed rooms, But upon check-in this time, actually on a private visit, the staff seemed reluctant to let me have a room on the 4th floor, the first one to be completed in their current renovation process. I nevertheless chose a room there, had one look at it, and decided that it was a travesty for what is supposed to be a hotel for business travellers: No desk, no chair other than two huge reclining rocking chairs, no sockets other than a few German 220V outlets dotted about the room, one at a time, no USB charger points. In other words: not a place where one can do any work. Is a business traveller desperate to put a last touch on that PowerPoint for next morning going to balance a laptop on her lap while rocking in an easy chair just out of reach of the socket for the chargers? And, just to discourage the leisure traveller as well, they ripped out the bath tub and replaced it with a shower tray the same full size of a bathtub, and replaced the cupboard for your clothes with open hanging space only. My wife, for one, would not put up with spending a leisurely weekend staring at her dresses and coats. We are not of student-dig age anymore! The real insult is that all of these ”amenities” (necessities if you ask me) were and are still present in the un-renovated rooms on the lower floors, I was on a private trip, but still wanted to do some stuff, so I asked to change rooms, which was not a problem. But it would have been in the not too distant future. Accor Hotel management: PLEASE STOP AND THINK AGAIN, or this might not be the last review of this nature.
