Mayfair Himalayan Spa Resort

Stayed at Mayfair kalimpong for 4 days...n everything was just perfect...food was delicious..had ample choices ..our daughter had the best time playing n interacting with the staff...the housekeeping girls Ms Saraswati n Ms Christina made sure the room was in its best form ...tidy n beautiful...thanks to the chefs for preparing a beautiful cake for us..would love to visit again soon

The scenic beauty is beautiful . The rooms r specious. We stayed in two suits for 7 nights, the experience was horrible. There were cockroaches, lizards in the room. The food was not too satisfactory. The service is poor. We had to wait for more than an hour to get food served. The bakery items are very bad, same items were displayed everyday. Not expected from Mayfair as we had better experience in other Mayfairs of different places.

When a person books a vacation paying 2 5 lakh for a luxury experience in a luxury resort for 6 days, he least expects to find cockroaches on one night, lizard on the next, wifi not working, hair dryer out of order, hot water not coming in the tap. And none of it gets rectified despite calling the reception upto 6 times a day. And the room service was horribly late everything we ordered food for our toddler. The point of the vaction is lost when the guest has to go through these kinds of harassments and then get an explanation from the property manager, Mrs Ranjeeta she's saying we are fully booked, staff has gone home to vote so we are not able to provide service. Really!? Is that the explanation to give to a guest who has pre booked an prepaid a 6 day stay in a luxury suite? The worst display of poor management was when on the day of our departure, a car that was prebooked 2 days as well and was confirmed to be available at 12 pm was not available to us untill we started frantically looking for alternative options to the airport as the we were almost about to miss out flight. Highly disappointed. It was an absolute waste of our money and peace of mind to book this hotel and a health and hygiene hazard formour toddler. Never going to recommend this pace to any of our friends and we are planning to send a notice for consumer harassment.

I recently had a terrible experience at Mayfair Kalimpong. Despite booking as a group, we were allocated rooms at opposite corners of the hotel, right next to the service alleys. This meant we had to deal with trash and beds lying outside our rooms. The rooms themselves were filthy, with broken lights and bathroom fans. The promised five-star experience was nowhere to be found. The staff were unprofessional and unhelpful, and the service was extremely slow. Their booking management system (BMS) is outdated, and they used it as an excuse for not being able to move us to better rooms, despite there being plenty of availability on online booking sites like MakeMyTrip and Goibibo. We even offered to pay for an upgrade, but they still refused to accommodate us. I absolutely do not recommend Mayfair Kalimpong. There are much better options available, such as Yarlem and Summit. Save yourself the hassle and choose another hotel.

Fantastic location, very warm and caring staff. Excellent service too. Mouth watering food. Food variety was wide and delicious during breakfast and dinner. Room service was also prompt. A perfect place to unwind from the city hustle bustle and take in the sights and amazing weather of Kalimpong.

Big mistake it was, booking Mayfair inspite of wife’s repeated insistence on booking Fortune hotel. I had visited their Puri property and thought this one will be good too. But no, my luck ran out as soon as we reached for checkin. We were given room no. 503 and 504 - we had booked two Executive rooms for 2 days. We had no idea what was in store. We asked if these are good rooms, reply was terse one liner - “we are fully booked”. At that moment we had no idea what this meant or that we will keep on hearing this for next hour atleast a dozen times. After checkin formalities, we were escorted to far end of property, and were greeted by two flights of stairs going below the ground floor of hotel and we reached the basement floor (-2). The stuffiness was overwhelming as was clear humid air has been sitting their since the time hotel was opened. What can the poor air do as it had no exits. Knowing we had 2 kids and 2 seniors with us, we felt it was no point putting them through this torture just because we have prebooked this hotel with full payment. Next 1 hour went pleading our case to shift us to rooms where there is some ventilation. But the terse reply “we are fully booked” kept hitting us as thousand bricks. When some one has paid premium price for hotel, dont they deserve decent rooms which are at par with other similar category rooms in the hotel. Why this draw of luck where if u r one of the last few checking in you get shoddy deal?? The management was completely missing in action or just wanted to pass the buck. We were not even returned the next day’s booking cancellation money. What kind of hotel does this?

Great stay! The hotel was clean and cozy, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job keeping everything tidy. Special thanks to Aruna, Tamang, and Mausami for their exceptional housekeeping service during my stay. Would recommend for a comfortable and hassle-free stay.

The best property there in Kalimpong. As an Event Management Company we worked there for several times. Every staffs are really humble and supportive. In the front office you'll get Mr. Anand, Mr. Rounaq, Mr. Raza, Ms. Sona, Ms. Supriya, Ms. Deepsikha who always serves with a sweet smile. If you're looking for a property where you want to feel like heaven so this is the property. They have a beautiful lawn ***** with two big banquet hall, Board Room, In house theatre, restaurant with delicious mouthwatering food, and chill swimming pool. From Corporate Events to Wedding Event, people can conduct anything here at their lawn and halls. They have lots of beautiful rooms, cottages and villas. This is like a heritage property where you'll find peach and natural beauty. I personally stayed there lots of time for work and travel purpose, Mr. Manoj and Mr. Bappa from F&B department helped me lots. The front office team is also very cooperative ***** with helpful. Mayfair is like my second home now.

Stay with mayfair was really good .. great ambiance.. specially the view from the lawn area made us spell bound .. the resort is full of greenery. Very calm place .. service from housekeeping and room service was very polite .. food quality was also up to the mark .. receptionist Raza and Ambar was very kind and helpful .. overall highly recommended..
