Hotel in zona Johor Bahru Seventh Day Adventist Church, Johor Bahru

Just ok for a night stay. We booked a family room. Room was not ready upon check in . We have to wait at the lobby for 20-30 minutes. Vending machine down for the drinks and instant noodles and shops not nearby . Cannot sleep well throughout the entire night. Windows in the bedroom not sound proof . Imagine at 230am onwards you can hear loud sounds from the chickens . Sleepless night and also keep worrying about the children. The kids bunk bed was placed outside actually at the hall area near the toilet and it’s quite worrying as it’s near the main door and also balcony . We opened the bedroom door because we felt it’s quite worrying . Was given a wrong choice of bed but matter been rectified by the agent. This time the aura in the last corner room given to us was not good .

All good just that suite room is kinda small in size, but the living room is very spacious and toilet bowl has no leg space because the glass door for shower room is exactly next to the toilet bowl. maybe can make room bigger and reduce the size of living room and definitely leg space at toilet bowl area needs to be enlarged or replanned. The buffet spread was super delicious and variety of spread. Each n every one of the staff at different department was absolutely friendly, helpful and well mannered! Thumbs up to all and the excellent service provided.

Questa sarà la nostra settesima permanenza qui a Amari, Johor Bahru Hotel, perché abbiamo semplicemente perso il spettacolare grande colazione e strutture molto dal nostro cuore. Abbiamo fatto un 3 Days 2 Nights. Come di solito, il nostro soggiorno è stato piacevole. Per questa volta ho prenotato una camera Deluxe, che è un po' più spaziosa della camera Superiore per più movimento di stanza per le gambe e abbiamo sfruttato l'atmosfera. Tutto era bene, tranne la TV che ci ha dato qualche problema. Uno dei tecnici, Hafiz, è venuto a riparare la TV. Nel contempo ha aiutato anche a sostituire la luce del letto e il soffitto della luce del soffitto. Era molto professionale. In generale, abbiamo goduto del nostro soggiorno completamente felice senza lamentele. E saremo certamente di nuovo in vacanza breve. Grazie per averci ancora. Fino a quel momento.

I’m surprised to find Fives Hotel is beyond my expectations. First time staying at Fives hotel and it has so much more to praise. Firstly, location is good as it is located opposite of Komtar shopping centre. You can cross the road from Komtar shopping centre by a traffic light. Secondly, safety is excellent as there is a security guard manning the entrance. You need access card to take the lift to access your room. There is a convenient store just right at the side of the hotel lobby. We stayed in a family room with 1 queen bed and 2 single beds. Breakfast is sufficient to fill your stomach. All in all, it is a relatively good hotel for its pricing as jt includes breakfast. Lobby smells good. I would strongly recommend all to give Five a try. I’ve stayed at most hotels near CIQ area, this is better that the hotel next to Fives. 😊

A Fantastic Stay at Holiday Inn Johor Bahru City Centre! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Holiday Inn JBCC, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Location: The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Johor Bahru, right above Komtar JBCC Mall and within walking distance to City Square Mall and the immigration checkpoint to Singapore. This made it incredibly easy to explore the city and enjoy shopping, dining, and entertainment options nearby. Rooms & Comfort: The rooms were modern, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. I particularly loved the large windows with a stunning city view, which added to the overall ambiance. The in-room amenities, such as a smart TV, coffee-making facilities, and a spacious bathroom, were thoughtful touches that enhanced the stay. Service & Hospitality: The staff at Holiday Inn JBCC were outstanding—friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and efficient. Special mention to the front desk and housekeeping teams for their warm hospitality and attention to detail. Dining Experience: The hotel’s restaurant served a fantastic breakfast buffet with a variety of local and international options. The quality of food was excellent, and the dining area was spacious and well-lit. The rooftop bar was another highlight, offering a great place to unwind with a drink while enjoying panoramic views of Johor Bahru. Facilities & Amenities: The hotel features a well-equipped gym, a beautiful rooftop infinity pool, and comfortable lounge areas. The pool was a great place to relax, especially in the evening with the city lights in the background. The business facilities also seemed well-suited for travelers needing workspace. Overall Experience: Holiday Inn JBCC offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and great service. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the toilet was spacious with complete amenities. However, the service was very disappointing. Room 808 had a strong smoking smell, and the floor manager just sprayed perfume to cover it but the smoking smell is still there. When I requested a room change, the customer service staff was extremely rude, telling me to call back at 9 PM because it was their break-fast time and i should respect. They were also reluctant and made it seem troublesome to change room. Propose Hotel management to arrange non muslim staff to handle calls during break fast timing in future, as Foreigners might not comprehend the situation. Another major issue was the parking system. It is confusing for first-time visitors, as hotel guests need to park at level B2 and validate their Touch ’n Go card for free parking. During dinner hours, the queue for validation was ridiculously long, with only one counter available. We had to wait in a line with more than 10 people ahead of us, which was frustrating, We are rushing for dinner, hence, we paid parking cost RM27 for just 3–4 hours, which is unreasonable. The hotel staff, especially the phone helpline team, were rude and impatient. Calls took a long time to be answered, possibly due to staff shortages during the fasting month and Hari Raya eve holiday season. Due to the rude staff and poor service, I will not stay at this hotel again.

Location is convenient. Near city square and CIQ. Hotel room is spacious with view over the causeway. Bed is very comfortable. However there is a pungent smell when you stand near the window. The shower faucet is not working well too. Overall it is still a pleasant experience staying in this hotel.

Very bad experience from this hotel specially room toilet shower was broken as I open shower it fell on me thanks I not got any injury or blood on my head I can sue or call police if I got hurt on my head with shower two times I call reception for repair nobody came then again call 3 time boy came it's really very very shocked I got save from head injury I need my refund from this hotel kindly refund the amount I already again don't want to book kindly refund amount as soon as possible not half full amount

Clean and spacious. The building is newly built, so everything looks so new. Comfy and convenient place to stay with restaurants/ marts/ even rnf mall nearby. Nice sea view. Units are provided with coffee/bottle waters/netflix/fridge/washing machine etc same as description. Good service from the host ! Very responsive and clear instruction for check in. Highly recommended to all.

Hotel was very good had the villa vibes. Room waa spacious and extremely clean staff was polite and friendly. The location was good very close to check point. Tho the hot water was unstable a second its hot then another second is cold,overall a good place to stay with a family.
