Our stay at The Peech was more than just a comfortable stopover; it was the perfect launchpad for our beach-hopping adventure (we were headed to Mozambique Southern Beaches so we had to fly into Vilankulos via Johannesburg for a night) and whether you're flying via Joburg (like us) or seeking a tranquil escape, this gem of a hotel offers everything you need and more. The spacious and tastefully decorated rooms provided a sanctuary after a day of exploration ( read shopping 😊). The room and bathroom was a luxurious haven, adding to the overall ambiance of relaxation and comfort. Yet, what truly sets The Peech apart is its exceptional staff. Their warmth and thoughtfulness were evident in every interaction, as they anticipated our every need with care and attention to detail, from Ben, our lovely driver upon arrival, to the porter on our departure. Each member of the team seemed to embody the ethos of hospitality, making us feel not just like guests, but like valued friends. In conclusion, The Peech isn't just a hotel; it's a destination in itself—a place where comfort, culinary delights (our dinner was a mouth watering rumps steak grilled to perfection), and amazing service meet to create an experience that stays with you long after check-out.

On Saturday 16 Dec 2023 my entire family decided to go to The Marriot for breakfast and we planned on using our Prokard to qualify for their dining discount. We have been to the Marriot on numerous occasions over the last 4 years and we had no problems using our Prokard and getting the applicable dining discount. Tembi the restaurant manager stopped us all at the entrance of the restaurant and was adamant that we couldn't use our prokard ....then it was an excuse that there were no tables available when there were plenty available. Her attitude was disgusting and made excuse after excuse......another being that The Marriot is a new hotel and that they were still finding their feet which was not true. My family was so upset with the backwards and forward arguing that we did not enjoy our breakfast which was meant to be a family outing. I also overheard other guests complaining about not being able to use the Prokard ......she also told us that it cannot be used over the holidays.......she made so many contradictory excuses. I had called on the Monday before (11 Dec ) and spoke to Daniel ( the services manager ) and he confirmed that all the benefits for dining is as per all Marriot hotels and that we are welcome to come on the Saturday. I spoke to Daniel on Monday ( 18 Dec) to complain of what we experienced on Saturday and he passed it onto Razeen ( another manager) who didn't have the decency to call me with an apology and confirm what the rules are wrt Prokard benefits. My advice to Prokard members ......keep away from The Marriot as they are not so professional and sophisticated as they profess to be and rather patronize the other Protea hotels. Hotel molto bello e moderno, situato a Melrose arch, un quartiere tra i pochi veramente tranquilli e sicuri di Johannesburg per i turisti. Camere belle e grandi, con ampia vasca da bagno e doccia separata. Personale gentile e disponibile, colazione abbondante a buffet con possibilità di ordinare anche un piatto extra (omelette o altro). Molto comodo anche per la posizione, poiché nello stesso quartiere sono presenti una serie di ristoranti molto buoni (raccomando il grillhouse e Mr. George). Non ultimo, mi sono potuto vedere la partita di campionato del Milan e le altre della serie A in quanto c’era un canale sudafricano che le trasmetteva tutte…prezzo non proprio da poco, ma per stare a Johannesburg bisogna scegliere un buon hotel e soprattutto un quartiere sicuro. in generale un ottimo hotel, un’ottima soluzione se siete a Joburg per turismo o solo di passaggio, lo consiglio vivamente

Ho vissuto qui per quanti mesi? onestamente il manager ha un modo sbagliato di trattare il loro ospite per lunga o no soggiorno.. Voglio dire, io pagava 650 ogni giorno e non si ricordavano mai di mandare un pulizia.. Non paghi per 10:41am e poi viene il puliziatore dopo 10 giorni e non deve pulire? ! Per un posto ho soggiornato negli stessi appartamenti per 4 mesi?

Siamo stati a questo hotel per un soggiorno di 2 notti a Johannesburg prima di volare a casa. È a 30 minuti di auto dall'aeroporto e si trova in una zona più recente, sicura, centro-città con un centro commerciale, ristoranti e negozi di alta entità a pochi passi dalla porta. Non sono sicuro se fosse questo hotel o solo Johannesburg rispetto alle altre destinazioni turistiche in Sudafrica, ma il servizio era un po' insufficiente. Mio marito è un membro di elite platino e di solito riceve un'elevata perdita e un grande servizio, ma non è stato così, forse perché abbiamo prenotato attraverso un'agenzia di viaggi, ma comunque, per una proprietà Marriott, non è stato il più accogliente. La struttura è molto convenientemente situata con belle camere nuove (anche se la doccia è in realtà nella stanza come altri hanno detto per salvare lo spazio più probabilmente). La doccia nella stanza è separata da una cortina, ma potrebbe essere terribile per i viaggiatori che non sono coppie. In generale, ha funzionato bene per il nostro breve soggiorno e ci siamo sentiti sicuri di andare in giro, ma l'hotel ha consigliato di non andare fuori, poiché proprio fuori dal complesso sono alcune aree insicure.
