White Cottage B&B

Andrea is an amazing host. She responded to my queries even when on holiday. We had a waterfront ensuite room with a view of dolphins playing and from our breakfast table. The shower was lovely and hot. Coffee, tea and shortbread in the room and milk in the guest lounge fridge. Proper coffee and a cafetière in room too with a local roaster’s coffee. Breakfast was fantastic - I had one of the veggie options as cd choose anything off the tea room breakfast menu. Definitely will return.

We didn’t stay here , but called in for the best cup of coffee we’ve had in Scotland ! Plus a slice of delicious ginger cake . We are from Melbourne and are very fussy about our coffee and this cafe really hit the spot. lovely girl served us and the whole experience was just a delight. Well done ✔️👏

We stayed for six nights. It was a great experience that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. The entire property is spotlessly clean. It’s very homey and welcoming. My husband and I stayed at the B&B, in the cabin at the back of the property. The cabin is great for couples. Not only did we have our own space but the views from the cabin are phenomenal. The cabin is elevated so there’s a 360 view. The cabin is nestled in terrace gardens. It was very special. Andrea is the innkeeper and the server, in the restaurant. She is one of the kindest, nicest people you will ever meet. She did our laundry for ten pounds a bag. It was a life saver. We ate breakfast there for six days in a row and never tired of it. The food was always fresh, of the highest quality and impeccably prepared. Stuart is the chef. Stuart cooks Scottish classics perfectly. We also ate dinner there twice. My husband was a line cook in college at a seafood restaurant. My husband is quite picky about seafood. My husband raved about the mussels. The prices are also quite reasonable. If you can take the quick drive to North Kessock from Inverness, it’s well worth staying.

This place is an absolute gem. We stayed here overnight on our way from Donegal to Orkney. It is in a beautiful setting right on the shorefront and attached to a tearoom run by the owners. It's very peaceful also as on a cul-de-sac so no through traffic. plenty of shore walks and places to sit and also a beautiful enclosed garden for residents. The rooms are spotless and spacious and perfectly equipped for long or short stay. The food is delicious and they will make you dinner if required even if the tearoom is closed. Breakfasts are great and included in the price. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The showers are perfect and the beds are really comfy. The owners are extremely friendly and obliging, we will certainly be back when we are up this way and are already recommending it to friends and family! 100% satisfied

This B&B just north of Inverness is a sweet place that offers clean accommodation and views of Beauly Firth if you book the front rooms. The rooms were stocked with tea/snacks and the wifi worked. Andrea was a kind hostess that replied to my email queries in a timely manner. She even informed us of our cancelled Orkney ferry (of which we didn't know) during some light conversation while there and this helped us reroute our travel plans quickly. The breakfast is made to order by Stuart and he will also prepare select dinner meals if you are a guest and you advise in advance. Good value for money!

We stayed 2 nights, while driving around Highlands. Easy to find when using Google Maps. Really nice place along shore, so a walk in the morning is a must. Rooms were good. Spacious. Good beds so we did get very good night sleep. Thin walls, so you hear your neighbours in the other rooms, or outside. Minor minus, manageable. Breakfast is served between 7.30 and 9.30. "Classic" UK-alternatives. Good overall. Lots of parking space, just outside on street.

Loved our stay at the White Cottage in a sea view room. Hosts were very welcoming. Room was a decent size, comfortable bed, nice shower. Spotlessly clean. The included breakfast in the tea room was delicious and freshly cooked. A good choice off the menu. We also had dinner one night which was excellent and the slices that we bought for afternoon tea were delicious!!! Parking is on the street in front of the cottages. North Kessock is a small village across the bridge from Inverness. We loved it. Highly recommend the White Cottages.

This is one of those reviews you don't really want to write because more people will want to stay and we'll find it harder to re-book. But credit is due to this wonderful B&B because it is richly deserved. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, comfortable and cosy warm. The location, on the waterfront of North Kessock, is perfect. And being attached to the cafe where you have breakfast and can eat an evening meal (B&B guests only) is brilliant. I'm usually not a huge B&B fan but on arrival I immediately wished we'd booked to stay longer. We will be back for sure, and soon I hope.
