Adventure awaits! Nestled on 1.3 acres, this quaint and quiet cabin is perched amongst spruce, pine, and aspens. The sunset views from the porch swing and deck will bring about a sense of peace and calm and will call to you like a siren song, long after you've returned home. The location of our cabin makes it a perfect "hub" to access a vast array of your Colorado adventures. ✦Accommodations:Our cozy 3 bedroom 1.5 bathroom cabin offers 1250 square feet of thoughtfully furnished space. Nestled on 1.3 acres of a hillside you'll feel as though you're relaxing amongst the treetops while also having a walk-out adventure into a forest. We have recently updated the cabin with all-new furniture, linens, beds, art, paint, and a brand-new walk-in shower. Two queen beds and a twin bed with a pull-out trundle offer ample space for sleeping. Our cozy beds will help you dream of coming back again! A designated desk/workspace is located in the primary bedroom if you desire a place to work remotely. We have high-speed internet that will allow you to work and stream if you need to be in a Zoom meeting. The kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans, utensils, spices, and dishes so that you can cook a simple, hearty or intricate meal, or you can head out to dinner at one of the recommended local restaurants. The dining table seats 6 comfortably and after enjoying a meal you can kick back on the leather couch and watch your favorite show on the 55 on a smart TV. On colder nights we have a wood-burning stove that really makes it toasty in the house! Play board games with your family and friend or we have everything you need to practice your yoga!✦The Outdoors:We have a porch swing that pairs nicely with a hot cup of coffee or tea in the morning, and your beverage of choice in the evening where you can enjoy a stunning sunset that is different every night and almost never disappoints. The large deck has ample seating between the table with the umbrella, the turquoise picnic table, the rocking chair, or the bench seat. String lights illuminate with a warm ambiance on cool evenings, and present a glow by which you can practice your grill master skills on the gas grill. The fire pit can be used ONLY when there's not a burn ban in effect, please adhere to local laws as Colorado is a wildfire state. Behind the house, you can adventure out onto the 1.3 acres, play a game of horseshoes or relax on the spider web tree swing. Once the sun goes down, turn off the string lights and enjoy the immensely dark skies where you can wander through the stars of the Milky Way. 🐻🦊🦌Local Wilderness:Colorado is known for its amazing wilderness and you'll likely get to see some during your stay. Please note, there's an abundance of mule deer, they are wild, please do not feed them or leave any food out for any wildlife as it will attract bears. There are also chipmunks, squirrels, hummingbirds, rabbits, elk, mountain lions, and a special pack of donkeys that live on the other side 42. One, in particular, we've affectionately nicknamed "Hank" who greets each day with a hee-haw!✦Weather and Vehicles:In the winter, it's highly advisable to have a Wheel Drive or 4-Wheel Drive vehicle to access our cabin. The roads in and out of the neighborhood are regularly plowed but do have fairly steep grades. The driveway to the cabin will also be plowed about once per snowfall yet there's no way to determine the exact timing of such an event. Please be advised to make smart travel decisions and note that the cancellation policy remains in place and will NOT be changed subject to the weather.✦Pets:We would be delighted to host you and your qualified pet. Behind the garage is a 16x30 ft dog-run enclosure so you can let your pup outside and off the leash. Please inquire prior to booking so we can make sure your pet qualifies and you can review our pet policy. We ask that you limit it to two dogs. Let us know how old, how many pounds, spayed or neutered, and the breed. We also ask that you keep your buddies off the furniture, and off the beds. Please pick up after them. There is an additional pet fee for qualified pets to help us cover the costs for the cleaners to keep the space fresh and clean for our next guests. We look forward to having you!Guests will have access to the house, decks, and the 1.3 acres of land the house sits on. Please note that there are NOT boundary fences separating our property from the neighbors. Teller County: hotel
Unwind in this modern cozy cabin in the Colorado woods! Recently remodeled inside and out. Recently added is a Kids Fort right in the backyard! Come to fish at the local lake, hike hundreds of nearby trails, play the slots at Cripple Creek, and end your day relaxing on the secluded back deck. Or take the drive to Colorado Springs (50 minutes) to visit much more! This 1970s remodel is a perfect mix of cabin charm and modern, fresh decor. With an electric fireplace, comfy couch, and large TV in the living room, you can snuggle in and enjoy a 90s rom-com or read some old-school Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. The two bedrooms are right off the living room—one with a queen bed and the other with two twins, so you can all dream in close-ish comfort. The kitchen, with brand-new stainless steel appliances—including a gas stove—has absolutely everything you need to make a full meal, even a waffle maker and pancake griddle for your Sunday morning brunching pleasure. You’ll find the bathroom bright and peaceful, a perfect place to read the morning news and rinse off your post-hike sweat.Recently added is "Bobbers Den" a modern shed converted to a Kids Fort right in the back yard, it is set with a climbing wall, hanging chairs, games, and more! With beautiful views of the surrounding pines and aspens, the back deck is the perfect place to start and end your days. Sip your coffee and contemplate life or enjoy an adult beverage and great conversation around the fire pit. Regardless, the fresh Colorado air will do you good! You’ll have access to the entire cabin and surrounding woods to explore. The kid's fort and surrounding woods are set with hammocks and a fire pit. The neighborhood has Magnuson Reservoir that you are able to fish on without a fishing license, you will need to sign the fishing pass that is provided at the property though.Cautionary Notes (Please Read)! We do NOT accept check in or check out on holidays.Absolutely NO open fires are allowed. The risk of wildfire in the area is too high. The gas firepit is available when there is no fire ban. If there is a fire ban, the firepit will be removed. You will be asked to leave immediately if there is any fire activity. The roads require AWD or 4WD for November through April (however it can snow in October and in May!). The roads are plowed after 6 inches of snow. You do not need a 4WD or AWD in the summer but be aware that the dirt roads in the neighborhood are bumpy!PetsThis is a pet-friendly listing for pets who qualify. Please message us before booking for our pet policy to see if your pets qualify. There is an additional fee for bringing a pet to cover the cleaners’ extra time to keep the space fresh for future guests. There is no air conditioning unit here. It is very rare in our county to have one installed in a house (even brand new builds!). The nights are cool in the summer so to cool the house off you can open all the windows and doors at night, then close them during the day and you stay cool! There are fans provided to help blow the cool air through the cabin. We are at 9,200 feet in elevation — altitude sickness can occur but you can do things to prevent it and alleviate symptoms including, taking a day to rest when you arrive, drink extra water and stay well hydrated (avoiding alcohol will help). When you are on the back deck it feels very secluded but from the front deck, you can see the neighbors.
