"A nice hotel located by Lake Toya with a 10min walk from the bus terminal. The bus from JR Toya station to Toyako bus terminal cost 400 per pax with no luggage storage space on board. The staff are courteous and can converse in English. The room Is clean and has a large window with Lake Toya view. The public bath for male and for female is located at the top most area and the outdoor bath at one of them is open sky type. The buffet spread at the level 2 restaurant is sumptuous with Japanese and western food. For leisure, one can rent the motorised ducky boat for a 20/30 min ride round the lake. But the key attraction is the nightly firework display at Lake Toya at 8.45pm to 9.05 pm. The boat firing off the fireworks starts from left and end on the right of the waterfront. Just find a spot anywhere along the lakefront walk and enjoy the show. The hotel also has a bingo game session at 8pm nightly. Bingo! and you get to win a prize of Japanese snacks. Overall a nice hotel to stay."

"The location is the best which just one minute walking distance to the bus terminal to/from Toya Station and in front of the ferry pier. Please see my photo. Perfect location. The front desk receptionist lady was friendly. I was placed to a lake view Japanese style room. It doesn't include shower but toilet in the room and it looks like old but I love the room. The view from the room's window to Lake Toya was excellent. I love my room's window can be opened, I could see more clear to the lake view and to have fresh air from outside by opening the window. Even it was a raining day, cloudy and frosty. The view is still spotless good. The service was good. The room was clean, tidy and come with all necessity, but bath/shower excluded. However, based on the price, I was happy with it because I don't mind to use the bathroom in the onsen area on floor one. There was only two down side that I found: First, the male onsen area floor was sticky and slippery with moss (My left hand accidentally touched it and my hand was sticked with moss in outdoor onsen area) that includes indoor and outdoor area. I wish they would take more effort to the cleanliness of onsen area. Second, the suana was not available for customer to use. However, I had a fantastic sauna and onsen in 万世閣 (a hotel where is just a few minutes walk away from Toya Grand Hotel) by a paying walk in onsen fee(1300 yen) for non-resident. So, it didn't affect me much. Overall, my experience was good. I would give Toya Grand Hotel 8 out of 10. I love Toya Grand Hotel. I would recommend it."

"One of the more affordable onsen hotel along the lake. Small on price but definitely did not compromise on comfort and quality. Dated building but the bed and room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was full of options and delicision I stayed in a single room facing the mountain. Even though it was along the road, it was not noisy. Simple onsen, perfect for the cold weather Just outside the bus stop. The free fireworks displayed right in front of the hotel. One minus... Like many older onsen hotels in Japan, the carpets are dusty. It triggered my sneezing and I don't usually get allergic with dust!"

"Best stay in my Hokkaido trip! I am glad that that I made the decision to switch from staying at Noboribetsu to Toya Lake, and chose this hotel! Everything was great, from service to amazing onsens (both of them at L8 with amazing calm view, and at L1 with Japanese garden view), to the location of the hotel right in front of the lake looking at the majestic Mount Yotei! The dinner and breakfast spreads were fantastic! For the price you pay that includes the dinner and breakfast, and the best location looking at the lake and the mountain, it will be the best decision you make for your trip!"

"Awesome location near central Toyako Onsen. Room had gorgeous lake view and onsen was spacious and well-maintained. Only thing is that the hotel is a bit dated and mattresses were a bit thin."

"Hotel is old but charming. Tatami style room is small tidy but not very clean (found 1 bed bug crawling around the comforter😱. Onsen is fine but looks aged. But hotel welcome drink when check in is unlimited beer and numerous types of sake is excellent. Hotel staff also very helpful and friendly"

"Clean and luxurious stay at this modern hotel. Like other reviews mentioned, there are some features that may be less than ideal (faucet fixed too near to bottom of sink making it hard to use, shower door unable to close fully and the bath area is open concept). Location is about 20mins away from where the other hotels are and where fireworks can be viewed. Overall a very nice hotel with impeccable service and touches (lovely yukata plus in-room toiletries/ amenities) but be mindful those as well as the modern design are what you are paying a premium for."

"Una vista come nessun altro dal bellissimo lago. Da quando abbiamo iniziato, un bicchiere e un snack benvenuti, ci siamo guardati bene. Il buffet e la cena erano deliziosi con una vasta varietà. Il cuoco chiama un campanello con ogni nuovo servizio! I pompieri notturni erano sorprendenti per vedere dal conforto della nostra camera d'albergo. E 'di facile accesso al resto della zona del lago dove ci siamo fermati. Il secondo parcheggio è facile accesso con un autobus. Con iukata a indossare e un bel posto di onda, ci siamo apprezzati molto per stare lì. Il capo è molto buono 👍 Dopo aver finito le procedure, ho mangiato a pranzo nel suo negozio, e ha buon gusto 👌 Una lavatrice con un dispositivo di lavaggio di Sharp può essere utilizzata gratuitamente, e fornisce anche lavastoviglie e solventi. E'che la stanza non è isolata, la stanza di fronte può sentire la parola, e i capelli lavati sotto possono sentire. Ma c'è un'orecchina isolata nella stanza. Ci sono due bagni e due bagni, che possono essere scomodi se ci sono più persone."
