Hotel in zona Randalls, Houston

Ok, where do I begin. When I walked in around 5:30pm on 10/9/23, I was greeted by the front desk staff, the young gentleman was very nice and friendly. I went to my room initially because the app said my electronic key was ready to use. Went to the 12th floor and nope, trek back down to the lobby and had to get a regular key. Frustrating to lug my stuff back downstairs. My room was really nice, size wise and they do clean it as well as possible but as all the reviews say, extremely outdated, needs everything replaced. What was really frustrating was the temperature of the water in the shower. Early in the morning, you turn on the water, you have to get in because you're on a time crunch. You stand there, sticking one arm at a time in the water and you're dying because it's so damn cold. By the time you get through most of your body, it finally warms up just in time to wash your hair. On my last morning there, I had a 7:20am flight so I was in that terrible cold shower earlier than I'd like to think about. Yes, I would run the water ahead of time as much as possible but come on! The hotel has potential, but they need to put some serious money into it. The hallway on the way to the elevators has some type of scented thing plugged in, I had to gag as I passed it everyday and wondered what needed to be covered up, scent wise. I've stayed at the Aria in Las Vegas, amazing smell when you walk in, they aren't trying to cover anything up, it's just a wonderful, stays with you and even provides a memory to reflect back on type of smell. Anyway, I was attending a conference. The room itself was fine, no issues there, however, each time we took a break to use the restroom down the hall by the restaurant, it was an adventure. We all laughed because you never knew which sink would leak out water and which would provide the soap. You also, typically had to use a roll of paper towel that sat on the counter that you had to rip off a piece to dry your hand. It was crazy. I would stay again if I absolutely had to, the convenience of attending my meeting and going up to my room during a lunch break was really nice. Sorry, I hate to give a negative review but maybe someone will listen and sink some money into this potential of a hotel. Nice employees though!

Ho incontrato alcuni amici per una festa di compleanno. Mi è piaciuto che fosse vicino a Dave N Busters. La camera avrebbe potuto essere un po' più grande e più pulita, ma nel complesso mi sono trovata bene.

1. *DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Houston at the Galleria IS THE FIRST HILTON-MANAGED HOTEL I'm STAYING IN WITH SUCH UNHOSPITABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL FRONT OFFICE STAFF. 2. The front office staff, unfortunately, are a new guest’s first contact but they lack professionalism and decorum. First impressions last forever, they say. 3. They don’t wear name tags at the front office (except Pinky Pradhan), so they carry on providing sub-standard services in anonymity. 4. THE RESTAURANT STAFF ARE ALL SO CORDIAL & SO NICE. 5. The food was excellent. 6. The facilities are super (gym and pool) except that the lifts are so slow and were perpetually being fixed for the seven nights I stayed there. 7. Only one electric power outlet (charging point) in the King size room, which was far from the work desk. So, laptop use was not fun. I was on a business trip, not on holiday 8. I was told that a guest has to be Hilton Honors DIAMOND to qualify to have a bottle of water in your room...amazing! I chose the hotel because of its proximity to JW Marriott, venue of my training, so I could do a few minutes' walk to and fro. I wish I stayed at the Marriott. I may not recommend DoubleTree by Hilton Houston at the Galleria to any one I care about.

La camera sembrava pulita. Era spaziosa. Il letto è più comodo. La camera è più tranquilla. Tuttavia, la decorazione è come andare indietro in tempo per il programma televisivo del 1980 “Dallas”. La camera da bagno ha un bidet. I contatori di marmo sono beige con linee maude.... E, ha un tappeto di paillette. Sì, paillette! Non necessariamente indossato, ma appena datato. Una decorazione molto strana. La sfortuna è che ero in una conferenza che durò fino alla fine del venerdì. Tuttavia, siamo stati costretti a controllare al mezzogiorno. Il mio collega ha lasciato la borsa con il desk front, e la hanno persa! La gente del desk front sembrava dispersa e le loro scuse: hanno più di 100 borse da immagazzinare! Ok, se vanno a ospitare conferenze, devono avere sistemi in grado di gestire i grandi gruppi e il loro bagaglio. Che cazzata non organizzata. Infine hanno trovato il bagaglio vicino al desktop, non in un'area sicura. Inoltre, l'hotel non ha nulla di vicino/passeggiata. Hanno “gallerie” in nome loro, ma quando ho chiesto come arrivare lì... hanno detto che è a 3 miglia... un autobus vi prenderebbe e vi prenderebbe, dopo che le arrangiere sono state fatte. Tre miglia da qui... hanno preso libertà creative a sostenere la “galleria” in nome loro. Considerando che non c'è niente vicino, ho chiesto dove sarebbe il loro negozio regalo/sundry. Il desk mi ha puntato a una tavola di bar di dolce. Si', una traccia di bar di dolce era il loro ”sala regalo”. La conferenza era piena di persone nelle sale e troppo spesso si trovava intorno al tavolo da pranzo. Il cibo era un prezzo tipico dell'hotel. In generale, l'esperienza era solo ”ok”. Non avrei deciso di avere una conferenza in questo hotel. E, certamente non avrei deciso di rimanere qui, se non per affari e la conferenza. L'esperienza era solo “meh”.

Although this is still my favorite hotel in the Houston area I wasn’t extremely impressed this stay. Our air conditioner was blowing hot air so we slept with the balcony door open. On our final day the shower wouldn’t drain. I will still continue to stay here because the staff is excellent and the location is perfect. And the views are amazing

Stay was beyond excellent. The room was clean, fresh smelling and the bed super comfortable. Staff were friendly and professional. Shout out to David who gave us a warm welcome. Hotel does NOT charge for parking, which is highly unusual. The hotel offers a parking garage and surface parking behind the hotel. The location is very convenient. Without traffic it was only a 15 minute drive to downtown, 10 minutes to the Galleria and 10 minutes to Memorial Park. The challenge is navigating the frontage roads to actually get to the hotel, but Waze or Google Maps was spot on with the guidance. The hotel definitely has an older architectural style, but the rooms are super clean and well maintained. The concierge lounge is stocked with sodas, flavored water and snacks. Soundproofing was sufficient that we never were bothered by the freeway noise! We stay at dozens of hotels on an annual basis, and this hotel is simply one of the best run properties we have experienced. Definitely would recommend this property and stay here again.

Il parco vicino all'hotel, il personale era bello e occupato, ma rispose le mie domande. Non mangiavo al ristorante, ma era bello vedere che era un'opzione. Hanno anche una navetta per portarti intorno, non l'hanno usata, ma sono felice di essere offerta.

Nuovo hotel (costruito nel 2022) vicino alla strada. Pulizia con letti eccezionalmente comodi. Il personale di fronte è uscito dalla sua strada per assicurarsi che la nostra camera fosse fria. Il colazione era caldo e abbondante. Non abbiamo avuto problemi con il rumore, quindi il lato non freeway dell'hotel è sicuramente tranquillo.

La posizione geografica è molto buona, anche se non un hotel di marchio internazionale in catena, il servizio completo è molto buono.In particolare, l'ambiente del palestra è buono, e c'è un fornitore di caffè gratis in contanti in qualsiasi momento!
