Stayed many times in this Hotel around 4 years ago due to high standards of staff and service. Unfortunately although the staff are still very professional and also friendly, the room standards have certainly dropped. You now have an empty space where the fridge used to be, sticks are provided instead of tea spoons for tea/coffee. Tissues run out after three uses, cupboard doors not aligned correctly so had to force shut. Under bed found sweet, dust and paper. Had to clean mirror, as it obviously had been wiped over with a dirty cloth and left to dry. Prices substantially increased since pandemic I believe. Not what it was, hopefully just a blip and situation will improve as all other facilities including restaurant and location are excellent.

Questo è un ottimo hotel da scegliere da una delle migliori notti in servizio. Ho preso mia madre per una settimana in questo hotel, siamo arrivati in un hotel molto presto mattina ha organizzato un check-in precoce alle 9:30 a ospitare mia madre di 80 anni, che è molto caldo. L'hotel ha lo stile, la progettazione e la storia, nonché il miglior servizio in un solo hotel. Sono molto attenti ai dettagli in servizio. Raccomando molto questo hotel a chiunque ama la storia ricco, così come belle artifici. Dopo aver soggiornato in questo hotel, non credo mai possibile. Mettero' sempre un hotel in rosewood come mia scelta migliore. 

La pulizia era molto curata e non c'era nessuna trascuratezza a causa del gran numero di ospiti, il personale delle pulizie era tutto molto giovane e camminava anche al trotto! Ho messo le ciotole nel lavandino e ho aiutato anche a lavarle! Eccezionale! Una volta durante il viaggio, la presa del nostro convertitore si è rotta, causando lo scatto di un interruttore. Il problema è stato risolto rapidamente e siamo stati invitati in un bar per un drink gratuito.

I specifically booked a night at the Sofitel Gatwick because it included 'Meet and Greet' parking with Maple Parking. Had they not included this I would have still stayed but made other arrangments for my car. I arrived at the Maple Parking Meet and Greet and parked the car. Took my keys over to the attendant and signed in. I then asked if they could give me 20 minutes to check in to the hotel, change clothes and bring a bag back to the car. We didnt want to bring a bag of unclean clothes on holiday with us. Here's where things went downhill faster than Gwynth Paltrow on ski's. The attendant, a tall bloke with a mid-european accent shouted at me 'No, do you know you are at an airport'. He actually shouted this. Shouted. To a customer. Take a minute to breathe that in. Fortunatly I knew I was at an airport, having driven 4 hours to get there. To hear that I was at an airport was no surprise, to be shouted at by a car park attendant was. I explained that I didnt want to take a case of unclean clothes on holiday with me. His response to that was 'we are extremly busy and your car will be removed immediately'. I asked if the hotel would hold the bag and he replied 'No they will not hold your stupid bag'. Here's where I should have murdered him with his Maple Meet and Greet Staff lanyard, but I did not. I asked for my keys back to be told once again in an truely agresive manner 'if you take your keys I will close the entry and you can't come back'. I took the keys and left. I then had to park at Gatawick Long stay for an additional £150. We finally checked into the hotel, explained the situation. The checkin lady (Alessia?) apologised and gave us two tokens for a free drink at the bar. They also kept our bag for us. Is this the fault of Sofitel Gatwick? I think it is. They decided to partner with a company that treats people appalingly. So they've got to accept responsibility for that. Please share this review, If I saw something like this I would have chose another car park or another hotel. Other people should be warned.

Consiglio vivamente di scegliere una camera che si affaccia sul giardino perché la vista è incantevole ed è molto tranquilla. La colazione era ok. Mi è piaciuto il fatto che abbiano optato per una sorta di stile per il tè pomeridiano ma a parte questo non c'è molto da scegliere (soprattutto se sei vegetariano). Il personale della reception era cordiale e disponibile, ma ho sentito che il personale del ristorante avrebbe potuto essere più attento. Nel complesso sono rimasto soddisfatto e probabilmente sceglierò nuovamente questo hotel in futuro.

The perfect hotel to enjoy the view of London as it is an attraction itself. You can enjoy the sunset and sunrise as you are chilling on bed with your beloved. The service is really amazing and efficient. The breakfast is really good and full of diverse foods. Sky pool and spa were closed but we have enjoyed it before and it was amazing. The only negative point to be fair is the gym which is not amazingly equipped in term of lifting equipment. I definitely recommend this hotel for every couple that want to have an unforgettable stay in London.

Il personale della reception dell'hotel, la signora bianca e il ragazzo bianco, giudica le persone dal loro aspetto e da ciò che indossano. Solo il team della colazione è buono, gentile e amichevole. Il resto è una squadra in gamba. Per favore migliora e non giudicare il tuo cliente *******!

Last minute reservation due to a flight delay causing unexpected overnight stop. Booked on trip.com, arrived to the hotel about 10 minutes later. The bar had great options and staff were friendly. Great room, all needs met!

La posizione dell'hotel è ottima e le funzioni abitative sono molto buone. Ci sono molti supermercati, ristoranti, caffetterie e bar nelle vicinanze ed è anche molto vicino alla metropolitana. Per non parlare del fatto che il British Museum è a pochi passi di distanza. L'attrezzatura dell'hotel è vecchia, ma in parte rinnovata, è molto comoda e l'ambiente è igienico. Il rubinetto della doccia non è facile da usare e necessita di qualche ricerca e di un po' più di forza. Inizialmente pensavamo che l'attrezzatura fosse rotta e l'abbiamo segnalata alle pulizie per la riparazione. (La piccola manopola interna viene utilizzata per regolare la temperatura dell'acqua e funziona in base al colore. La manopola esterna è in senso antiorario per aprire e in senso orario per chiudere. 2023.11.8) Non ci sono stati problemi con il furto di bagagli o oggetti personali durante il nostro soggiorno. I prodotti per la colazione dell'hotel sono piuttosto ricchi, quindi vi consiglio di provarli.

The hotel was very well managed and the staff were excellent. The breakfast had a very good selection and was well worth the reasonable additional cost. The hotel is very near Imperial Wharf train station. It is a small station but offers a connection to the Tube system and to Clapham Junction train station for Gatwick airport. Double Trees maybe a more budget orientated brand but the room was a good size and finished to a high standard with a comfortable bed and well fitted bathroom. There is a Tesco supermarket and a coffee shop opposite. I would highly recommend this hotel.
