Ostelli a Hualien

One of the better (if not the best) hotel chains I’ve stayed at in Taiwan. I’ve visited Taiwan about 10 times and stayed here for 2 nights, and overall I was very satisfied with the experience. They provide free bicycles (3 hours limit), which is useful for getting around Hualien. Breakfast has a good spread, and there are complimentary ice cream and drinks available in the lobby around the clock. We didn’t realise they also offer late-night supper from 7pm to 9pm, which was honestly as good as a proper dinner buffet, with a good mix of Western and Chinese dishes and even live entertainment. The room was spacious and well maintained, with no hygiene concerns. Shower water pressure was good. Noise levels were generally fine, though louder sounds like furniture movement could occasionally be heard. The hotel is conveniently located near a convenience store, restaurants, KTV, and a cinema, and it’s about a 10-minute walk from the station. You can also cycle to the night market within 15 minutes, making it super easy to get around the main area without getting a taxi. Overall, a very good stay and very good value for money. While a gym would be nice, I would definitely consider staying at other branches on future trips.

Received email from hotel staff (Juan) that they could arrange pick-up service for us if we are arriving via Hualien Train Station. They provide free transfer back to Hualien train station as well after check-out. Grateful for the shuttle service otherwise I would need to take a taxi. By going the extra mile, they offered to send my mom and myself to the bus stop nearby for going to xincheng old street. Every staff member is friendly and very helpful. Seaview room is excellent and we enjoyed the sound of the waves from our bed! Room is clean and brightly illuminated. Breakfast variety is good. They have bicycle for hotel guests too! There’s a convenience store (Family Mart) nearby, few restaurants too, but closed on Tuesday mostly. Overall I had a great stay and will definitely return if I come to Hualien again.

Molto vicino alle stazioni ferroviarie e autobus Hualien dove si può prendere l'autobus a Taroko per la passeggiata. Solo bisogno di meno di 3 minuti a piedi. L'ostello offre un semplice colazione con caffè e tè istantaneo alle 8 e dato il conforto dei bagni degli ospiti e il bagno e il asciugacapelli, sia all'interno che all'esterno dei pannelli. A Scenic Stay with a Convenient Catch My stay at Hotelday Hualien was a bit of a mixed bag. It has some genuinely charming touches and a great view, but its location and certain amenities require some adjustment. Location & Transportation: The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from the Hualien Train Station, which is fantastic if you're arriving by rail. However, I soon realized that the train station is not the city center. The main downtown area is a significant distance away—about a 40-minute walk. This means you'll either need to plan for long walks or rely on taxis and buses to get to the main dining and night market areas. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's something to be aware of. The Room: The room itself was a highlight. It was spacious and comfortable, providing a relaxing retreat after a day of exploring. The best feature was the large window that faced the train station, with a stunning backdrop of the mountains. It was incredibly scenic and made the room feel bright and open. While the room was comfortable, I did notice that the overall design and some of the furniture felt a bit dated. It's clean and functional, but don't expect a super modern aesthetic. Amenities & Service: This is where the experience was a bit uneven. The gym was quite disappointing. It only had a stationary bicycle and a treadmill. There were no weights, no multi-gym, nothing for anyone hoping for even a basic strength workout. It felt more like an afterthought than a proper facility. On the other hand, the service had some truly thoughtful highlights. When we asked for ice, the hotel staff kindly delivered some to our room, which was a nice touch. The Special Touch: The most memorable part of the stay was a small, heartwarming gesture. The hotel provided us with complimentary postcards. The unique part? They offered to mail them for us, but not right away. They will send them exactly one year later. It's a lovely idea—a little time capsule from your trip that arrives as a surprise in the future. Overall: Hotelday Hualien offers spacious, comfortable rooms with beautiful mountain views, and its proximity to the train station is a plus for travelers. The thoughtful service, like the ice delivery and the ”postcard to your future self” program, adds a warm, personal touch. However, the distance from the city center and the very basic gym are drawbacks. It's a solid choice for a comfortable night's sleep near the station, especially if you appreciate sentimental gestures, but be prepared for the travel time to the main attractions.

Grande esperienza al momento da Lakeshore!I bambini sono stati eccitati dai letti con cortine e pendenti privati e luci 😅 È un complesso di edifici vicino al lago, abbiamo avuto una stanza con splendide montagne e giardini di vista. Il controllo dell'auto in stazione era semplice da capire e da gestire, e per noi era adatto, perché siamo arrivati molto tardi. La struttura della stanza è molto fredda, tutto funzionava, buona pressione idrica. Il doccia è separata dal bagno, quindi è confortevole per gli amici che si trovano insieme. Per noi, come famiglia, non importa. Tutto nel minibar era incluso nel prezzo della stanza, e ho provato i tè di birra fredda, erano eccellenti! Il colazione è stato servito nell'edificio dell'hotel vicino al nostro hotel, dallo stesso proprietario. L'hotel dispone di un parcheggio vicino, e si trova a circa 10 minuti di auto dal centro visitatori di Taroko. In generale, consiglio questo hotel per soggiorni brevi, se siete con 3 o 4 bambini prendono il bunk letto per 6, ci è davvero piacere.

L'hotel è molto vicino alla stazione centrale di Taipei. L'hotel è elegante, con bevande, caffè e piccoli spuntini gratuiti nella hall. Anche la camera è spaziosa. Adoro il design del giardino con le carpe koi. La colazione è nella norma.

L'atteggiamento del personale di servizio è gentile, il letto è morbido e duro, la testa è medio e basso, non è la testa alta comunemente usata in molti hotel. Si sente comoda, la pressione dell'acqua nel bagno è ok, i prodotti di lavaggio sono naturali, non sono asciutti dopo la lavaggio, il stile di colazione è diverso, viva per due giorni, si trova che sostituirà più della metà del piatto, Il panorama fuori finestra è buono

In generale, una buona esperienza (eccetto una cosa - vedi in fondo). La posizione è un po 'centrale e sulla passeggiata, ma non molto vicino alla stazione ferroviaria o al fianco dell'acqua. Circa 25-35 min passeggiata alla stazione ferroviaria ma tutto bene. Circa 15 min al confine. Opzioni alimentari: ci sono alcuni ristoranti locali vicino alla promenade, tra cui un negozio di noodle, un tempera donburi e un posto fritto di marina - lungo la promenade. Le camere sono spaziose e pulite, molto nuove riparazioni (dal 2025, sembra 2023-2024), nessun frigo nella stanza (solo sul primo piano), ma c'è un caldo. Il letto era un po' rigido ma bene. In generale, si è sentito un grande valore per la posizione e la qualità, e soprattutto per la dimensione della stanza. L'unico svantaggio - facile da risolvere - era le tute. Non c'erano tute da bagno di dimensioni adeguate sul mio soggiorno nel maggio 2025. Le tute piccole sono piuttosto insufficienti per fare la doccia.

Molto positiva esperienza. L'alloggio è molto bello se si cerca un ostello decente a Hualien (anche se potrebbe sembrare un po 'scorrere dall'esterno). La terrazza superiore del tetto è bello per una tazza notturna e il caffè/tea 24 ore è un plus. La comunicazione con il personale del servizio frontale varia molto, a seconda delle competenze linguistiche individuali del personale in servizio, ma non è mai stata una questione reale. Inoltre, siamo stati molto sorpresi di avere un uomo tedesco lì il giorno in cui ci siamo iscritti.

A nice boutique hotel -- locations not bad with a mall across the street, and Family Mart + 7-11 at the other side of the junction. Gentle reminder to bring own bath towels as these are not provided by the hotel. View from the room is not too bad :)
