Hotel in zona Kamilari Tolos Tomb, Heraklion Prefecture

Scelta molto carina per Heraklion. L'hotel non è in centro, non è nemmeno vicino alle spiagge ma, nonostante ciò, è situato nei pressi di una fermata bus a pochissimi passi. Con gli autobus (o con l'auto se si noleggia) si può raggiungere tanto il centro, quanto le spiagge in 5 minuti. Hotel moderno, camere nuove, pulite e confortevoli: un posto molto carino e con lo staff cortese: i dipendenti sono molto simpatici e gentili, si fanno in quattro per aiutarti o consigliarti cosa fare o come muoverti. Amenities presenti in camera. Colazione buona, la si può fare nel bar dell'hotel.

Eccellente hotel ! Camera e bagno spaziosi e ben arredati . Ottima pulizia sia della camera sia delle parti esterne comuni . Colazione ottima servita a la carte al bar attaccato all’hotel . Non è presente reception h24 ma per gli arrivi serali vengono inviati codici di accesso via wa quindi comodissimo . Vicinissimo sia all aeroporto (10 min!) sia al sito di Cnosso (5 min!)

A dirty, dingy, dull, noisy hotel that should be a 2 star rating and not a 4 star! I had a 3 night stay at this hotel following a weeks stay in a lovely hotel in Rethymno. My friends checked in to the Castello City hotel later that evening for 3 nights too. We found the hotel to be the most depressing place to stay. The hotel is not what it describes itself and the photos do not match up or come close to what they show on Trip Advisor. Our rooms no 201 and 202 were very small, dark and gloomy as there was no natural daylight coming into the rooms and the glass doors that should have led out to an airy balcony (with no room for a table) was facing brick walls. It was difficult to see what the sky looked like unless you wound your neck around. The walls and curtains were dark in colour and lighting was so poor in the rooms that you couldn't see yourself in the mirrors. The noise outside of the rooms was unbearable at night and early mornings. The carpets were filthy and worn in the corridors. The breakfast was poor and the welcome from the hotel receptionist was very poor. When l first arrived at the hotel and waited for my friends to arrive, l walked a short distance from the hotel only to find the streets dirty with skips of rubbish strewn everywhere. It was chaotic with speeding traffic and a lot of undesirable people hanging around and l found myself scared. Had the hotel advised me of where to go and what areas I should avoid, that would certainly have helped! When l spoke with the receptionist about the rooms, he just didn't care! He said there was nothing he could do as they were fully booked. We most definitely would have moved hotels if we were staying for longer. Once you find your way around Heraklion, you will enjoy the city centre filled with nice restaurants and shops especially in the evening. The port is worth a visit and there a few nice beaches on a short bus ride away. Looking at other reviews on Trip Advisor, I note that the hotel does not respond to them which gives me the opinion that they simply don't care. I have attached photos

Sono stato in questo hotel per tre notti, e sono state tre notti favolose. La stanza era pulita, ben ordinata, il letto comodo, la notte è tutto molto silenzioso, l'aria condizionata di ottima qualità. Poche note dolenti, tra cui la cassaforte a pagamento (cinque euro) e il televisore con l'audio auto-limitato. Colazione eccezionale, se si eccettua il caffè espresso che è veramente scarso.

We stayed at the hotel for five nights in July 2022. There were eight of us in total so two families. The location is absolutely perfect as it is right in the middle of Heraklion, opposite the bustling square with its wonderful with its Artisan stalls which are worth visiting and only a short walk to the shops and wonderful selection of restaurants. Heraklion is a truly bustling and Cosmopolitan city. The Hotel is very close to Heraklion Archaeological Museum and a bus or taxi ride to the beach. It is also not too far from the port you can walk there but we took a very quick taxi due to the heat. Upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome and our baggage was taken to our room for us. The reception area is refreshing to walk into from the heat outside and the decor is lovely and very modern with a comfortable seating area. There is a downstairs bar which is very chic with beautiful artwork where you can eat and you can just walk through to the shops outside to have a mooch with is perfect. Our check in process was very smooth and efficient. Check out is at 12 and check in is at 2. We had travelled from Chania by taxi. and were a little early. The gentleman on reception was able to find our group a room to check into while they got our other rooms ready which was very helpful and we did not have to wait too long. We had the economy rooms two different types between us. The ones which have balconies and the ones which are inside but don't have a balcony. The latter were a bit bigger than the ones with the balcony and the children's bed has its own little area which we really liked. The bathroom and room were very clean and the cleaners were very helpful and polite. We had a small fridge all the usual amenities you would expect and the air conditioning always worked well. I really feel (being from the UK) that the hotel represents very good value for the price we paid - if we were to pay a similar price in England we would not be staying in nearly such a nice hotel that's for sure. Certainly not one with a pool on the roof! We absolutely loved the roof area. The pool is quite small (but still big enough to have a lovely, cool swim). The pool area is clean and there are sunbeds and chairs you can sit on around the pool and plenty of place to sunbathe. It is absolutely lovely the perfect place to relax and take in the view. They also have a lifeguard up there at all times which we were not expecting. The pool is open until 8 at night but you can still go up to the roof for drinks and to eat your dinner after this time. They also provide towels for you which is great. The bar on the roof is absolutely excellent and the service is impeccable. The bar staff and waiters and waitresses work so hard and are so friendly (whilst also remaining professional). The bar food is great especially the mini burgers and the club sandwiches are to die for. You can also have dinner up on the roof and there are lots of lovely tables and chairs to chose fro

Bellissima struttura di fronte alla fortezza veneziana ed a pochi passi dalla zona pedonale. Camera di ampiezza standard per il livello, ampio balcone. Letto molto comodo. Piscina sul tetto forse un po' piccola per le esigenze. Personale gentilissimo e pronto a soddisfare qualunque esigenza. Parcheggio non grandissimo ma con utile servizio di valet parking. Colazione con linea con lo standard dell'hotel. Nel complesso una esperienza estremamente piacevole.

I had a pleasant 7 night stay here at this accommodation while in Heraklion, Crete. It belongs to the Lato Boutique, which is the main hotel. The Annex is right opposite and required card access to enter. Room was the Economy room (15 sq. metres), a little on the small side, but good enough for a solo traveller. The room was right next to the stairwell and the lift, so there were times I could hear people moving about, but at night it was very quiet, and there were no sleep disruptions. Bed was comfy, air-conditioning was also good. The shower was also good, with shampoo and soap provided, though I noticed it was running a little low towards the end of my stay (i.e., no refills were done). I also appreciated that a luggage rack was provided, along with two bottles of water on check-in day. Fridge was big enough to fit lots of mineral water bottles to keep them cold, which would be a great reprieve in the summer time. Room safe was incredibly huge as well, it can easily store laptops securely, if needed. The elevator door got stuck on the day of check-out, but still worked, so not too big of an issue there. Wi-Fi requires a special code that you can get from the reception. My first code strangely stopped working after two days, but was promptly rectified after I informed the reception of the issue. There were no other connectivity issues for me. The hotel location is pretty near to the Venetian Port, and the Rocca Fortress; it is also walking distance away from the main shopping street in Heraklion and lots of good eating places nearby. There are also supermarkets nearby to get water as well. It does get quiet at night, but I did not encounter any incidents that made me feel unsafe. My room came with buffet breakfast included, which is served in the main building. Breakfast starts service from 7 am onwards, and was generally quite crowded at the start. Depending on the crowd level, the staff will occasionally open up a new section of the dining area. Breakfast was generally good, there was a good spread of American breakfast items, to pastries, ham and cheese and even Greek yogurt with a lot of condiments. It varied a little bit from day-to-day, but was generally the same for the most part.

La stanza è molto buona, la posizione è anche molto perfetta, vicino alla stazione di autobus e taxi, il grande supermercato accanto e il bombardamento** fantastico!Si consiglia fortemente di venire in Iraq per tenere questa casa, così come vino rosso gratuito e prodotti di cottura auto-prodotti. L'unico mancato bagno è senza colazione, ma non mangiare troppo vicino!

Le séjour a eu ses hauts et ses bas. D'un côté, le parking s'est avéré dangereux avec une route à traverser où les voitures roulent à vive allure. À l'intérieur, la tablette en marbre de la table de chevet m'a causé des soucis, notamment lorsque je m'y suis cogné deux fois dans la nuit. L'insonorisation de l'appartement laisse également à désirer, vos deux oreilles sont dans le couloir avec les groupes de gens jusqu'à 3h du matin qui rentrent en discutant, et je me levais à 4h pour l'avion... Dommage. Cependant, tout n'était pas négatif. La literie était confortable, et la piscine un vrai plus. De plus, l'emplacement est très pratique, avec une branche d'autoroute à seulement 5 minutes de l'aéroport. L'accueil était également sympathique, ce qui a légèrement adouci les points négatifs.

This was my first time at the amazing Stella Island, and I can honestly say it exceeded all expectations! I had heard so many great things about this place, but nothing could have prepared me for how stunning it truly is. The photos really don’t do it justice—this hotel is something you need to experience firsthand. And the way it transforms from day to night? Simply magical! From the moment we arrived, I felt like I had stepped into paradise. We were warmly greeted by Aris and Nikos, who took such good care of us throughout our stay. Aris has a heart of gold, and it was such a pleasure getting to know him better during our little trips around the hotel. The entire team was incredibly helpful, always there to assist us with our moves and daily routines. I can’t thank them enough for their kindness and care! The reception team was equally wonderful, always smiling and so welcoming. Every interaction with them was lovely—efficient, friendly, and always ready to help. It’s a great feeling when you’re remembered and treated like family. We stayed in a room with a Premium Pool View near the Makuti side, and it was perfect! Spacious, spotless, and with the most comfortable beds. Makuti was our go-to spot for sunbathing, and the team there made every day special. Rania and her team were a joy to be around—her attention to detail is unmatched, and I loved catching up with her. George, with his calming presence, and Yannis made sure we were never without one of their amazing cocktails. And let’s not forget Yanni, who was always around, making sure everything was perfect. The drinks and food there were excellent! The food overall was exceptional—definitely a highlight of the trip! Lunch at the buffet was great, and the fish lunch at Vegera was top-notch. But La Parilla stole the show for both lunch and dinner. The meals were incredible, and the service was just as amazing. Johanna’s team is truly the best. Eleni, George, and Emerlito made every meal special, with their warm energy and flawless service. Kostis, the bartender, kept the good vibes going with his stories and perfect cocktails. Our evenings at Paraiso were a blast, too! Antonis and Sofia made the best cocktails—Sofia’s margaritas are to die for, and Antonis’ Margaritas are next level! Maria, Katerina, and Xaris were also a delight—super attentive and always ready with a smile. The entertainment was top-tier, the shows blew me away this year. Breakfast was another daily highlight, with a tough decision to make every morning between the buffet and La Parilla. Special shoutout to the lovely lady at the buffet and Lenti at La Parilla for starting our mornings off with great service and friendly faces. A massive thank you to Anastacia and Marina for taking such good care of us. And of course, a huge thanks to George and Christos for making us feel like part of the Stella Island family.
