The best experiences we had in Harbin was Crowne Plaza Hotel. Besides overall excellent experiences, they gave us free ski pass for my whole family. They have staff courteou, pleasant and professional. The checking in and out was smooth. English speaking staff were there round the clock. I recommend Crowne Plaza Hotel.

It was a pleasant stay at Crowne plaza Harbin. We were a family of 5 traveling together with friends. We enjoyed our stay there. Room was clean, comfortable bed and good service.

I have stayed at different Crowne Plaza’s in China. All have been of a very similar standard. I was not impressed with this one. The room was was cold. There was a draft from the window. The room was so cold my gf decided to sleep in her robe. The robe was put in the washing basket but it was not replaced but just folded up. We could smell smoke coming from other people’s rooms on our floor. The breakfast was OK if you would like to eat cereals. The coffee was instant and the western section of food e.g beans, sausages and bacon were cold. They have a bar but it is best to order beer rather than wine. The wine didn’t taste like it should. We were very disappointed. Perhaps, it was stored incorrectly.. The staff were friendly but spoke very little English. It appeared like we were the only westerners in this hotel. Overall, we would not stay here again.

Excellent service, nice and cozy rooms, helpful front desk. Location is nice and all the staffs are very helpful. Will stay again.

Everything was excellent except location which was a bit far

We spent three nights in this hotel and found it to be a little further from everything we wanted to see and do, but that did not make our stay any less pleasant. The staff were attentive and incredibly friendly. The hotel looks out on a lovely pond that is frozen sold in winter and covered with a thick layer of snow. A perfect playground for young and old alike. Catching a Didi from the hotel is also fairly easy as it isn’t stuck right in the centre of the ice festival activities.

We had a wonderful stay at Crown Plaza, the breakfast was great, we got all we were hoping to get in the western style breakfast buffet, kindly add baked beans to the menu 😋 please lol, we hope to come again in the near future and relax once more at your lovely hotel. God bless you 💖

I was there 9 February to 13 February 2024. This in China is New Year Holiday period, so maybe a part of the issues are coming from this. Start with positive items: the room was OK, large, well equipped, well heated (Harbin in February is still very cold), clean and in perfect conditions. And buffet breakfast was OK. But then problems starts. The "Crowne Cafe All Day Dining" restaurant was at an unacceptable level. 9 February evening was just closed... 10 February, I was the only guest there. Cold, dark, a waiter almost not speaking English, a menu on a cardboard sheet wrapped in plastic, like a street-side low level restaurant. Vey limited choice, just 2 main courses (lamb or veal steak). Quality was not so bad, but the overall experience was catastrophic. And expensive, 441 RMB for a meal in China is a lot. So 9, 11 and 12 evening I got dinner with the the "room service". You need to use an app on the cellphone, all in Chinese, and you have to pay with Wechat. OK for me, I live in China since many years... but a normal international traveler??? On 9 the selection was just some KFC food - but at least nicely served on a tray with napkins and tools... 11 and 12 only Chinese food available, and served in plastic boxes inside a plastic bag. A small bag added with chopsticks and a microscopic paper napkin. 5-star hotel !!! And again very expensive considering the type of service and the fact of being in China, even not in a major city. Another small detail... the room minibar was empty, even if there was the price list on it. And the room service app was just providing food, not drinks. I you like a beer, you must go to the vending machine in the hall. Nonsense in this level of hotel! Even the vending machines in the hall were giving a "cheap" feeling, unacceptable in such hotel! Then some other minor "slips" of service during the stay... nothing serious, but they add up to the basic problems I mentioned. All this could be accepted in a low level, cheap hotel... not when you have paid in advance 300 $ per night!

We stayed here as a family of three in order to explore Harbin and I have to say it was very inconvenient. The only reason to stay here is if you plan to spend a lot of time at the indoor ski slope 5 minutes walk down the street. Otherwise, this location requires a lot of time in the car to visit the Snow & Ice festival, Sun Island and even longer to get to downtown Harbin to visit Jie Fang street or the train station. The hotel itself was nothing special. The staff mildly helpful. The breakfast buffet has a fantastic selection of Chinese food but the staff can't keep up with the volume of people so tables are always dirty and food spilled everywhere on the buffet. Disappointing for a Crowne Plaza. The pool and gym are nice but beware they close at least 30 mins before what is stated, so staff can begin cleaning up. Rooms way too warm and impossible to control the heat. On the positive side, the rooms were nice and comfortable. And just big enough with two beds for a family of 3.

The service was very good,the staff were friendly and nice especially Emily at the reception.The breakfast was also excellent different varieties,the breakfast include western and Chinese food.We really enjoy our stay and we hope to be back anytime we are in Harbin.

We had a good weekend in Harbin. The location was okay, all shops and restaurants were closed nearby because of the pandemic. The room was clean and staff were friendly. It was quite hot in the room and the window didn’t want to open because it was ‘frozen’ but they gave us a fan to kind of cool down. Breakfast was okay too nothing special.
