De la Soie Hotel & Travel

Location, Location. Hotel is really nice, although rooms are on the smaller side, but not too small. Get the balcony room (really worth it). Also The manager (female possibly owner) is amazing, could not of been more helpful. Really made us feel special.

Usually, the criteria for a hotel are a nice location, good amenities, cleanliness, quietness, privacy, and customer data security. But this hotel has nothing good except for its location. The room was very dirty, the bed sheets weren't changed and were very damp. We had to lay a bathrobe on the bed to sleep. The bathroom had mold, and the towels were more like floor cloths. The free water on the table was boiled and bottled by the hotel itself, and it was very easy to open (we don't even know what anyone might have put in it). Normally, in a hotel like this, the staff would be decent, but not here. The staff mistakenly gave us the wrong room, and even though we were there for 15-20 minutes, they didn’t inform us. They waited until we went out and greeted the staff (Phuc), and only then did he come up on his own to move our things to another room (there was no privacy or security here). Then, when we came back, he demanded the key and ordered us to change rooms. Even 2-3 star hotels don’t save money or treat guests this badly. As a result, we all had allergic reactions, and my girlfriend lost a handheld mirror

What a great hotel right across Hoan Kiem Lake! It has an exclusive rooftop bar overlooking the roundabout and the lake and all the coffee shops around. We were able to sit and relax while having a meal in the rooftop and watching the energetic city vibe. Mei was very helpful and beyond phenomenal! She taught us tips for attractions and how to not get ripped off as a tourist. She arranged for our car ride to the airport. She also gave us more tips on the beautiful places that we should visit in Vietnam. She is an asset in this hotel. The other workers were also very friendly and were always smiling and greeting us! We got the suite with a veranda so we were able to immerse ourselves in the hustle and bustle of Hanoi! They also offered laundry in this hotel for only 40k per kilo. Other hotels would charge per piece. It was wonderful staying here, considering it’s a 3-star. The value of what we paid for was so worth it. Clean beds and nice smelling linens. Water pressure also gave us awesome showers after our long days! Thank you Hotel Dela Soie staff for making our experience delightful.

This tiny hotel at the curb in the middle of the old quarter square is the ideal place to stay if you like to adventure around the town. Location is fantastic for a first time in Hanoi trip. Though the hotel may not have meals or breakfast, it’s surrounded by so many cafes so that’s not an issue. The room is clean with all the amenities you need including a hairdryer in the drawer, TV with Netflix and coffee and tea with a water kettle. Everything is great however the best of all is the staff. They are friendly, and will go the extra mile to help you out for anything. A big thank you to Alex (not sure if I spelt that right) who takes the night shift, for being so helpful. And thanks to all the rest of the staff for your kindness, help, and advise. Hope to see you all again!

Stayed here for a few nights, It is in a good location in the Old Quarter, the room was cozy and comfortable although the room does not have a safe. The staff gave great service and were happy to help . Would stay again.

This is a lovely small hotel in a great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Traffic in Hanoi is manic and although the hotel is right on a major road once in the hotel room it is blissfully quiet. Would certainly recommend checking the hotel out for future travellers.
