We had a spacious room with great beds and pillows. The staff, from check in to check out at week later were friendly and helpful, making recommendations of where to eat and where to walk in the local area. The housekeeping staff were wonderful and very friendly. One particular standout among the staff was Janet in the Loft Lounge. After one visit to the lounge she remembered my drink choice and had it ready in hand on my next visit. Janet went above and beyond when serving a large group of friends when we met in the lounge following convention meetings. Thanks as well to the friendly staff in Chagall's restaurant when we stopped in for breakfast on a few days of our convention. If back in Hamilton in the future, the Sheraton Hamilton will be my hotel of choice.

Questa volta sono venuto qui per usare le mie monete e avere un posto conveniente per lanciare due missioni separate: prima, alla serie di lettura in diretta di Lit, nella Galleria d'arte di Hamilton, e, secondo, al mio bar preferito a James Street North. Mentre mi sono divertito in alcuni stili letterari al primo evento, le cose sono state finalmente disturbate da un evento in direzione (il secondo dei tre mesi passati, se la memoria serve). Le cose si sono svolta in modo analogo negativo nel secondo inizio della serata, anche se credo che fosse ancora più all’interno del regno delle aspettative; in ogni caso, io sopravvissero, e il Hilton era lì a formare di nuovo alla fine di un giorno duro. Il mattino c'era anche un piacevole colazione, che mi ha aiutato a tornare alla routine quotidiana di una vita adulta (alquanto) rispettosa. Tutto questo è stato molto apprezzato! (Anche se, nonostante le appartamenti mancanti e la fantastica esperienza di doccia, non c'era ancora [prevedibile!] nessuna roba per completare la mia ricaduta in un lusso comparativo.)

Prima di tutto, avevamo prenotato il nostro hotel mesi prima di visitare e avevamo pagato in anticipo su una carta di credito. Una che era in mezzo a chiudere con la nostra banca IVA. Ci ha chiesto di non renderci conto che non si può utilizzare un Visa Debit per incidenti. Uso il mio debito Visa ovunque senza emissione. Anche negli Stati Uniti, ma non accettabile qui. E pagare contanti non è più accettabile per gli hotel nemmeno. Quindi dopo aver fatto un sacco di corsa, questa questione è stata risolta. Funny, they’ll take your money via Visa debit to pay for the room on the site ???? And we weren’t the only one having a problem with checking in for similar issues. Then the room. Not worth the money we paid. Dull and dingy. Carpette di tela, cortine sembrano sporche. completamente strano. TV fuori dal lato non davanti al letto? Anche la parte sbagliata della città. Solo buona cosa è che era vicino al First Ontario Center che era molto vicino mentre andavamo a un concerto. Se andassimo a un altro concerto a Hamilton, io avrei guidato i 45 minuti a Niagara. Molte più belle camere a metà costo.

This hotel is just over a year old and still looked and smelled new. We chose it because of an indoor pool and the later than usual check out time of 12:00 pm. There was a single front desk attendant and a long line formed at check-in time. Unfortunately, the pool was out of order for our stay. We were told that we could use the one at a sister hotel that was a ”short walk away”- totally missing the point of an on site pool. The 11th floor, corner room had lovely views and was clean and fresh. Lighting was poor for reading on the sofa. The breakfast space was large and lovely and had a variety of seating including booths, tables and a bar type overlooking a street view. However, food quality and selection was poor compared to other ”breakfast included” places I've stayed. The bacon and scrambled egg containers were allowed to be empty. Scrambled eggs were yellow but otherwise did not taste or resemble real scrambled eggs. The bacon was undercooked. Everything you use is garbage-plates, cutlery, cups. How out of touch is this, especially for a new facility and one that promotes ”green” practices in the room. The knives were so flimsy you could barely spread butter. Is it really too much to provide real tableware? Parking is underground and is spacious and well lit. The $15/night cost is only revealed by drilling down on website amenities. All in all, this stay was only memorable for its disappointments.
