CCY TanI recently stayed at Hotel Clad during my trip to the Fuji area, and it was a wonderful experience. The location is truly unbeatable—perched on a hilltop with breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji, especially at sunrise and sunset. Waking up to that iconic silhouette was absolutely unforgettable.
The hotel itself strikes a perfect balance between modern comfort and serene simplicity. My room was clean, well-appointed, and designed with a minimalist aesthetic that made it feel both calming and functional. The large windows made the most of the surrounding nature, and I appreciated the attention to detail in both the amenities and layout.
One of the highlights was the onsen. It was such a treat to relax in the hot spring baths while gazing out at Mt. Fuji—an experience that felt both peaceful and luxurious. The onsen facilities were clean, well-maintained, and never overly crowded.
The hotel is also conveniently connected to the Gotemba Premium Outlets, making it easy to enjoy a bit of shopping or grab a bite without venturing far. Despite this proximity, the hotel maintains a very tranquil atmosphere, which I really appreciated.
Overall, Hotel Clad is a perfect base for anyone looking to explore the Fuji area in comfort. Whether you’re there to hike, shop, or simply take in the views, it delivers a serene, scenic, and satisfying stay.

UUtente ospiteIt is what you can expect from a Dormy Inn : lots of freebies, a comfortable room and a bathhouse area with the bonus point of having a good Mount Fuji view especially if you get the rooms facing the right side.
The hotel's clearly geared for people who drive, there is two main carpark areas but it can get filled up quite quickly during peak holiday periods. The breakfast was sumptuous and excellent as expected from a Dormy Inn. There is a nice late night soba service and popsicles in the evening. Location wise, it is only a short drive away from the Gotemba Premium Outlets and some local sights. It is located next to Chichibunomiya Memorial Park with a former villa. The hotel is also pretty new.

AAllinUse_MarcusLocation: Near to Shinagawa Station which link to most of the place you will visit as a tourist.
Cleanliness: the room is clean, not feeling any uncomfortable.
Service: We reached the hotel around 8pm after visit Gotemba Premium Outlet, the reception staff is not english speaker but we still able to communicate via google translate & some body language.
Facilities: we do not have time to try their facilities, but in room facilities is well maintained. check out process is simple and is friendly.
View: I forgot which floor we stayed, but the view is awesome, before we checked out we can see the Mt. Fuji which is superb.

It takes around 5-8 minutes to get to the hotel by taxi from Gotemba station. The hotel also offers reliable shuttle bus service.
It’s nicely located and designed for guests to enjoy the spectacular view of Mt Fuji wherever you go in the hotel, whether you’re having breakfast, bathing in the onsen, drinking coffee in the lounge or staying in your room. Staff were also very helpful and enthusiastic.

UUtente ospiteLa posizione non è buona se non hai una macchina. Ho avuto borse pesanti e mi ci sono voluto circa 40 minuti per arrivare all'hotel. Ho preso un taxi indietro alla stazione dopo aver controllato che costa 1200 yen. E' in un po' di zona isolata. Il più vicino negozio di comodità era circa 10-15 min a piedi.
L'hotel stesso è bello, pulito e nuovo. Camere un po' piccole ma ho avuto una vista spettacolare di Fuji dalla mia finestra. Il letto era nuovo e molto comodo. Ricorda di prendere un taxi dalla stazione se hai un sacco di bagagli.

RRenRen76I loved the hotel, services and amenities was wonderful, food is great, rooms clean and nice with beautiful view on Mt Fuji! Onsens was also an amazing experience, just the location for local transfer is a little far away.

MMic890This hotel I stayed twice . The service and facilities are good with this price. Food and snacks provided in a specified time of the hotel. The hotel staff is willing to answer our questions. Only I suggest they can provide a simple map in the hotel to show guests food and things to do around here. For example, such as opposite us shopping mall, Dong mae station to outlet, and to the famous parks, etc.
After all, I would really like to thank the lady duty on 19/3/2025, she helped us a lot on baggage drop in, answer a lot of questions and mail cutter borrowing, etc. although she is not speaking fluent English, you can feel her passion on her job to resolve clients problem. She even let me gave hotel umbrella as she expected I will go out in rainy day which I did not request for.

JJanetWe had a really great experience at this hotel. There is a shuttle bus near the hotel that takes you to and from the JR Gotemba station and the Gotemba Premium Outlets.
The room is really big for a Japanese hotel, and you even have a jacuzzi/hot spring bath in your own room! As for breakfast, it is buffet style with a good selection. The food is also delicious!
The best part of all is still the service they provide. At the Fuji Outlet Hot Spring Hotel, they really go out of the way to serve their guests. We had 2 suitcases stored in the hotel when we checked out and went shopping at the outlets. We went back to the hotel to pick up our suitcases at around 19:20 and intended to take a taxi to the JR Gotemba station to catch a train back to Tokyo station. The front desk staff helped us call a taxi but no taxi would take the order because there was a bad traffic jam. It was on 3rd January 2025, a public holiday, and there were many cars heading for the outlets. Upon knowing our dilemma, I think it was the hotel owner, instructed a staff who just got off duty to drive us to the station. He even checked the train schedule for us! They refused to accept when we offered payment for the ride.
Overall, the service was superb and I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. They have front office staff who speaks either fluent English or Chinese.
We wish to thank the owner and his staff for such great service and will definitely stay in this hotel again if we were back in Gotemba.

EEkaterina88Отель действительно старый, но отношение персонала и местоположение очень хорошее. Рядом с Gotemba station, удобно пешком. Рядом есть супермаркет Bigday. На ужин покормили бесплатным удоном с карри, завтрак отдельно выкупила за 550 иен и позавтракала с видом на фудзи. Из огорчений: очень холодный номер, не было горячей воды, сказали что технические неполадки. Персонал предложил заселиться в отель поновее с горячей водой бесплатно, но я отказалась, т.к. был уже вечер и добираться было почти 1,5 км. В городе по вечерам почти нет ламп, немного страшно одной гулять.
