I had stayed here many times before in previous years. It was always one of my favorite hotels when visiting Guangzhou. However the place has really gone downhill. The location is between Shipaiqiao and Gangding metro stations. It’s a great location as you’re on the Main Street for all the shopping malls and restaurants. You can also get a view of the Canton Tower from the room. The main entrance is behind the building. The lobby is beautiful. I use to be able to check in early (around noon) but not this time. Had to wait until 2pm. (No big deal) One of my favorite things about this hotel are the large spacious rooms. The bathrooms are huge as well. The TV’s have been upgraded since my last visit. But they removed the tv next to the bathtub. However things are falling apart. Stains, damage, moldy smell, urine smell in the bathroom, condom wrapper under the bed. And even with “do not disturb” on while we try to take a short rest, we have a cleaning lady banging on our door not remembering if the room had been cleaned or not. There is a fitness center, a spa, and restaurant, but we did not use any of those. Overall I’m disappointed. This hotel use to be one of my favorites in all of China and it’s sad to see this place go so down. Love the spacious rooms and location though

The variety of the breakfast is o.k.. It seems that the hotel was built during the time of the booming economy. So I am afraid that the further maintenance will be difficult and costly.

The location is great for going around tianhe, the hotel is a bit hold but is kept clean. It may get a bit loud outside as there are bars right nextdoor however all rooms are quiet. Would recommend this for business trips

The Royal Mediterranean Hotel in Guangzhou is in an excellent location, right in the bustling Tianhe district, making it easy to explore the city. Great room! Breakfast not good for western people. But I recommend. Good location.

I have stayed at The Royal Mediterranean Hotel many times and I am always very impressed with their service, the spacious rooms and it’s always very well presented and clean. It is nearby all of my needs while staying in Guangzhou city I will continue to stay here in the future

Good location. But personally feel that deposit of 500rmb per room is too high. Timing to check out take quite some time. Need to improve on this.

Great hotel in the heart of TianHe. Had a spa, fitness center, and restaurant. The only complaint is the dirty carpets in the hallway and shower door didn’t close all the way. Overall I had a great experience
