Hotel a Goodlands, Mauritius

Premetto che siamo residenti a Mauritius. Siamo rientrati dalle nostre vacanze in Italia ed attualmente, prima di poter tornare a casa nostra, è obbligatoria una quarantena in hotel. Abbiamo scelto questa struttura perché già conoscevamo il livello dei sui servizi, ma chiaramente non vi avevamo mai passato 2 settimane in qualità di vacanzieri! Siamo stati accolti con la nota gentilezza dei mauriziani con un cocktail di benvenuto e nel rispetto di tutte le regole sanitarie in vigore. Accompagnati in camera, vista mare, spaziosa, pulita, con una grande cabina armadio e un bagno dotato di doccia e vasca. Abbiamo approfittato di tutti i servizi che l’hotel ci offriva, dalla boat house (canoe, pedalò, windsurf etc), la spiaggia, naturalmente sempre pulita e i ragazzi disponibili ad ogni richiesta. I terreni di tennis e Paddle, la sala sport (attrezzatura nuova e di ottima marca) disinfettata dal personale ogni cambio di ora. Ma anche ad ogni passaggio clienti su ogni macchinario. La Spa con l’idromassaggio e le vasche di differenti temperature. Certo perché bisogna smaltire 😄😄 si mangia nei 4 ristoranti, la colazione e la cena a buffet (servito dal personale) al Palm Court, alla carta negli altri 3 (Inti il peruviano, Bodrum il turco, Beach Rouge per pizza, pasta e cucina internazionale) aperti ad orari e sere alterne (visto che naturalmente l’hotel non e’ al pieno della sua capienza). Lo chef Dominique Ambrose ed il RM Jean Benoit sono sempre presenti ai tavoli per parlare con i clienti e disponibili ad ogni richiesta. Non ultimo il signor Mario che ha fatto passare delle belle mattinate a nostra figlia nel suo Atelier, splendidi lavori con materiale riciclato. Vi è anche un baby club, di cui non abbiamo usufruito essendo nostra figlia adolescente. Direi che di questa quarantena ci rimane quello che, vivendo qui abbiamo un pochino dimenticato, la solarità del popolo mauriziano, il loro sorriso nascosto dalla mascherina 😷, ma percepibile nei loro occhi, la voglia di ricominciare, il blu del mare che con una splendida vista sulle isole del nord, ti fa sentire in vacanza! Quello che spererei rimanesse ad ogni turista che visita la “nostra Isola” Grazie a tutti voi!

Un posto come un sogno di pulizia, attenzione, bellezza, delizioso cibo, e il trattamento del personale non paragonato, prendendo il grande flusso, era il top della bellezza, la pulizia di tutto il dettaglio del mobilio di nuoto, E, con belle sessioni, abbiamo provato il cuoco a portare l’elefante, e la cooperativa, e cucinare davanti a noi era una splendida e divertente esperienza.

We stayed at OceanV, Grand Baie for 7 nights and we absolutely LOVED our stay. We took the “all inclusive” package and I can really recommend this option as this really makes the entire holiday more enjoyable, no need to stress about paying for any drinks, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner. Inclusive package review: You get a set menu for lunch and dinner which is always decent. My wife is a fussy eater but always managed to find something to eat. For dinner you can also choose options off the main menu which helps when the kitchen is a bit adventurous with the set menu. The drinks that are included are three types of beer, three types of wine, 8/9 cocktails and three mocktails as well as a wide range of cooldrink and hot beverages. This was really sufficient and if you do want to try anything else, you can always just order from the bar. Room and service review: The staff is extremely friendly and always helpful. The room was perfect, amazing view of the sea and an aircon that we had on the entire time and worked perfectly. The staff cleaned the room and bathroom everyday, no complaints, just compliments. Trips/Excursions: We did not use the hotel’s recommended service providers as they were a bit expensive. We went on a catamaran trip, initially using the hotel connection but after they cancelled we were able to find Coral Belle, a very professional catamaran trip company who have three catamaran’s that go to the islands every day, they have a little shop in sunset boulevard - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We took the bus everywhere, Grand Baie for shopping and Port Louis for the day trip - really worth it regarding the price 24 rs from Pereybere to Grand Baie and 44 rs from Pereybere to Port Louis. Recommended to wait for the express bus to Port Louis if you can, the normal bus takes a quite while longer. Finally, the beach is walking distance, 300m, and we were able to walk around to the beach right in front of the hotel for privacy and less crowded. All Round: We would come back and recommend!!!

Small family orientated hotel. Perfect location. 5 minutes walk to a shopping mall and 10 minutes to the beach. Friendly staff who are very helpful. The rooms are cleaned most days to a high standard. Our room , more like an apartment. had an en-suite, kitchenette with cooking facilities, sofa, TV, dining table, and fridge, and a balcony with table and chairs. Lovely small pool with plenty of sun loungers . Perfect for small families and couples. We would love to stay there again.

Il soggiorno ha pienamente soddisfatto le nostre aspettative. La struttura è accogliente e confortevole, in particolare le camere da letto sono molto spaziose e pulite (pulizia della stanza 2/3 volte al giorno). Inoltre, l'albergo offre una vasta gamma di ristoranti al suo interno. Noi avevamo la formula ”half board” (mezza pensione) che prevede la possibilità di scegliere tra 3 degli 8 ristoranti a disposizione. Cibo ottimo in tutti i ristoranti che abbiamo provato e adatto ad ogni esigenze e necessità. Tuttavia, nella mezza pensione, a differenza dell'all inclusive, non sono incluse bevande alcoliche (vino/birra) ma sono considerati come extra. Anche per quanto riguarda la spiaggia, nulla da segnalare. é molto lunga e i lettini sono comodi, anche se al mattino conviene ”prenotarsi” i lettini per evitare di restare senza (cosa che però a noi non è mai capitata) essendo la struttura dotata anche di 3 piscine con annessi lettini. Evidenzio che l'albergo è situato ad est, quindi il sole tramonta molto presto e già verso le 4 non c'è più sole sulla spiaggia. Nonostante ciò, per fortuna, non ci siamo mai annoiati essendo l'albergo dotato di molte attività di intrattenimento. Sono infatti incluse attività acquatiche come sci nautico, boat glass (barca con vetro sotto per vedere il fondale), gonfiabili, ma anche attività come minigolf, bocce, ping pong e campi da tennis. Sono a disposizione, a pagamento, anche delle biciclette. Noi abbiamo utilizzato molto anche la palestra che offre una vasta scelta di macchinari. Unica pecca che segnalo è il servizio di organizzazione delle escursioni. Poco tempestivo ed efficiente, dovevamo spesso rincorrere noi il ragazzo che se ne occupava.

We loved this place. We came as a family of six. Mom, dad, granny and three teenagers. We loved the chill vibe. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed . Beautiful access to a stunning beach where we swam and watched the sun set. The location is purfect and so close to the main beach and grocer. Which was very convenient. The pool is clean and has a area where the kids loved to listed to music and play the games they provide. They have beach toys that you can take to the beach and provide fresh beach towels every time you go out. The staff was so friendly and catered to our every need. We loved the chilled vibe and will definatly come again. It has everything a five star hotel would have but with we felt like we could relax allot more here.
