Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort

We stayed at the Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort for a 4-day family vacation while attending a nearby soccer camp, and overall, we had a great time. The location is fantastic—just steps from the beach—and the place has a comfortable, family-friendly vibe plenty of food options in walking distance. The kitchen in our unit was very nice and well-equipped, which made it easy to prep quick meals between soccer sessions. However, the mattresses definitely need an update—they weren’t the most comfortable for a good night’s sleep. The game room could use some attention. Not only could it benefit from a refresh, but having better availability or more posted hours would’ve made it easier for the kids to enjoy. It would also be great if the resort offered some kind of beach gear checkout or rental—like chairs, umbrellas, or coolers—especially for families flying in without those items. Overall, a solid spot in a great location. With a few upgrades and added conveniences, this place could really shine for active families like ours.

Location for a stay in Ft. Lauderdale is ideal. The property is at least 50 years old and the last update at least 25 years ago. Management has not allocated the funds to keep the units properly updated on a regular basis, and it shows. Staff are friendly, but sometimes need a nudge. Units are generally clean, but some functionality is lacking. Great value for the $.
