Purtroppo, questa visita alle regioni occidentali dell'Ontario è stata colpita da alberghi lontani che, nonostante la piccola città in cui si trovavano, sembravano comunque molto più lontani nelle regioni esterne di quanto la maggior parte dei viaggiatori avessero voluto fare. Il posto aveva un bel personale e un buffet colazione gratuito, ma un altro problema era che la TV era rotta o non potevo capire come farla funzionare. Attaccato è un'immagine di quanto lontano era situato!

We stayed in this hotel for Canada day weekend. And upon check in we had a very warm welcome and to name them, Sai, Kristine, Bee and their Supervisor Zaid. They are all very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The hotel's breakfast was good too with lot's of choices to choose from and the F&B staff were very attentive to the needs of the guests. These are some of the reasons to come back and stay there again.

Il parcheggio è stato facile e economico (circa 15 dollari per 24 ore). L'hotel è aperto al centro di Kitchener, quindi la posizione è grande. Il personale al di fuori del desk era molto amichevole ed efficiente. Abbiamo ricevuto anche un bel servizio tramite testo prima dell'arrivo. L'equipaggio di pulizia era anche gentile e utile. Ci siamo fermati in una King Suite. La stanza era ben isolata/quieta. Il tetto alto ha consentito un grande flusso d'aria nella stanza, così è stato facile rendere la temperatura della stanza comoda. Il letto era anche di alta qualità e molto comodo. Era spazioso con belle decorazioni. Siamo stati lieti di scoprire che per il servizio in camera c'era una possibilità di chiedere solo i ”essenti”, come caffè, asciugamani, ecc.. Seriamente, ogni hotel dovrebbe avere questa opzione sulla carta della porta!! In generale, abbiamo goduto molto dell'esperienza e rimarremo qui in futuro. Molto consigliato!

We went to this hotel as a team, after the hotel listed themselves as a ”preferred hotel for the tournament” Which is very confusing to me because they clearly do not want any families there as a group. The amount of times that security had interactions with a group of grown adults, was insane. During daylight hours (3:30-7:30pm) we were told to move locations, then we were then told to leave that area, several times. We tried to be respectful of other hotel guests by staying outside also because it was a gorgeous day, the staff told us we needed to go indoors to the lobby. Night two, we are putting our kids to bed and security wouldn't leave our floor. First they told us that we cannot sit quietly in the hall, just my husband and I at 7:45pm, we had to stand. So we stood up, 10 minutes later we were told we needed to get out of the hallway and go to the lobby because it's a walkway. We tried to explain to the guards that our kids are young and we would not be leaving the hotel room door, but that they cannot go to sleep with us sitting in there. There was a language barrier and after a bit more of a civil conversation, they proceeded to tell us that we would be charged for a noise complaint charge because apparently we had four warnings, we were unaware of the first two or three. The rooms are nice, hotel is new. The breakfast is terrible, eggs were like rubber. I will never understand why hotels that choose to be tournament hotels don't catch on to put us in an actual block of rooms to lessen any potential complaints from other guests. To top it all off, there were 3 homeless men that were in the bush at the back of the parking lot, they came into the lobby and were approaching some of our team girls who are between 11-13 years old, when security was asked about what was being done about this they said ”they had no idea but that they believed it to be okay, no police were called” Thankfully, we had a friend who is a SWAT officer onshift nearby, he came by to check it out and it turns out that all of these men have warrants out for their arrest. How unsettling for all of these parents with young kids, and it seems the hotel didn't think it was an issue.

***** WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER ***** I have now witnessed the most incompetent guest service at a hotel ever. My background is Hotels. I worked at Claridges one of the most prestigious five star hotels in London England with Gordon Ramsey as our executive chef. I also worked as the head concierge at The Rimrock Resort Hotel in Banff as some examples. We were trained properly to go above and beyond a guests expectations. Upon arrival we waited over two and a half hours to get checked in as we were the only ones there at the time. Unfortunately due to the horrible management of this property they left a new team member on the front desk that had only been working there for a week. (complete failure on their part) He was absolutely lost and even said while he was dealing with me that he was going to have a heart attack or commit suicide after his shift. He was so flustered trying to get any kind of help from management on the phone. Finally the night auditor showed up and was able to check-in the backlog of guests sitting around the lobby. We had a confirmed booking for 2 Queens beds and upon our arrival into our room it was a king and sofa bed. I went back down to the lobby and they said that they would deal with it in the morning as the manager would get back to me about the room and our experience the night before. (I'd also just had back surgery 5 weeks prior) Our rate for the two Queens was 169 per night. After a Week (not the next day as promised) I finally received a call from the hotel operations manager Nalini Cackryanathen about my experience. She explained I would also not qualify for the 169 as we had a king bed and would have to pay 229 instead? ***? WE BOOKED AND HAD CONFIRMED TWO QUEEN BEDS with a confirmation number. In the end they offered a free night voucher to the hotel - NO CHANCE WE WILL GO BACK EVEN FOR FREE. I asked for the owners email so I could explain what is going on in his hotel and they refused saying he's not hands on and isn't really interested in the daily operations of his property? 🤯 I guess it comes from the top down!
