The property was very thoughtfully designed to create a beautiful and peace escape for guest. The staff was friendly and attentive along with all the dogs roaming around the property. The one thing that would have been better is the lighting in the rooms. Most of the lighting in the cabins were not calibrated to match the over all feel and design. Some lamps had bright cool light that is more appropriate for an office or hospital. The rest of the lighting should be warmer and dimmable.

I chose Contemplacion Hotel in Valle de Guadalupe for its beautiful appearance and seemingly clean rooms. Initially, everything seemed fine, but I quickly discovered a major issue with the cleanliness of the sheets and towels. Unfortunately, we had to switch rooms late at night due to dirty linens, and the second room was no better. The staff, especially the gentleman who helped us move, was very apologetic and clearly embarrassed, which I appreciated. However, for the price we paid, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness. While the hotel itself is lovely and the service is friendly, the lack of proper hygiene was a serious letdown. I would think twice about staying here again unless they improve their cleaning practices.

I’ve been staying here for years and didn’t want the world to find out about it because it was such a hidden gem. And I knew what would happen when it did and that’s exactly what I got on my last visit. It’s overpriced, the staff is not helpful, and it feels like they are just trying to gouge, not provide a memorable experience. To give you an example, the restaurant onsite is a pizza restaurant, basic American and Mexican food and they have a wood fired pizza oven. Our bill for 2 people for dinner was $180 USD! One cocktail each. And there was a charge on there for how they prepared the Caesar salad. Are you serious? It’s a cute hotel a step or two above glamping because there is plumbing and limited hot water. And they are trying to charge like a 5 diamond resort with a James beard chef. Crazy. We won’t be back, if we want to spend the money we’ll stay at one of the many luxury options moving into the area to capitalize on tourists.

I loved staying at Contemplación, it was the best relaxing spot and the views were amazing! We booked a couples massage and it was so good truly recommended! The room came with a selected breakfast included and surprisingly it was at their main restaurant which made the stay top notch because the food was amazing and super yummy!

The hotel is nice but one cottage our friends' stayed in did not have hot water for their entire 3 day stay. The cleanliness of sheets/towels is not great, and bed/pillows not very comfortable.
Besides that, the pool / gym area is amazing with view of sunset over mountain. The property is manicured beautifully with plants and flowers on the vineyard. The restaurant was really good for breakfast/coffee, many employees and food was delicious.

Rooms have an amazing view. Lovely huge windows that overlook the valley. However, those windows are a double edged sword. There is a walkway that passed literally in front of the windows. People walk by looking into the rooms, makes you feel like you're an attraction at an aquarium.
Bed linen, mattress. and towels felt cheap and very worn.
The bed sheets came off the mattress very easily during the night. Found what looked like a tiny blood stain on one of the pillows the first night we were there.
Something I find extremely annoying is ordering something from the menu and being told they don't have it. 5 different bottles of wine weren't available.
I felt cheated with the price I paid.

Property is nice and well appointed, pool is gorgeous, rooms are comfortable. Location is in the middle of the Valle with very difficult roads and some drivers won't come out to that location if you request a car. We found ourselves driving a very harrowing and mud filled route to get to dinner one night. Next time we will choose a location closer to a main road.

We have stay at this property like 4 times and never disappoint, the rooms are modern but cozy and the view from the room is awesome. Hot tub maybe too hot but also the view from there is nice. Great food at the restaurant we enjoy dinner and breakfast.
Overall excellent for a one night escape.
