The location is good and the room is reasonably sized but the design of the room is not to my liking. The toilet is completely separated from the rest of the washroom which has happened before but the toilet room does not have a hand basin to wash your hands and the two areas are inconveniently located so it could be a problem stumbling at night.
The room was clean when we checked in but our room was cleaned the next day except for the washroom for some reason. Reported to front desk but no explanation really.
Saw a fan in the closet so the hotel may not have A/C whinch happens in hotels in Europe sometimes. Check that if you are coming in the summer.

Appartamento molto bello spazioso completamente attrezzato con regolazione della temperatura dell'aria in ogni stanza. Lo scenario fuori dalla finestra è molto bello e affascinante. Puoi vedere il tramonto da un'ottima posizione. La mia stanza ha tre finestre e le finestre non sono molto insonorizzate, quindi potrebbe essere un po' rumorosa, ma non ci sono macchine. notte, sono relativamente tranquille, quindi è abbastanza grande al momento del check-in. Ho avuto un bel tempo all'hotel ”The Scholar” e non potevo essere più soddisfatto dell'esperienza generale. In primo luogo, il servizio era eccezionale. Il personale era incredibilmente benvenuto e sempre pronto a assistere, assicurandosi un soggiorno confortevole e piacevole.
Le strutture dell'hotel sono state impressionanti. Le camere sono spaziose, decorate in modo elegante e offrono un comfort di top-notch. Il bagno pulito e ben attrezzato, insieme alle moderne strutture, è stato aggiunto all'attrazione generale. Inoltre, le strutture ricreative come la palestra e la piscina hanno arricchito l'intera permanenza, rendendola più soddisfacente e piacevole.
Uno dei punti di vista è stato l'esperienza di mangiare. Il colazione ha offerto una varietà di opzioni di alta qualità. Mi sono particolarmente gradito i piatti di firma, che erano deliziosi e memorabili. Il personale del ristorante ha mostrato professionalità e amicizia, migliorando l'esperienza di mangiare.

Buona posizione se con sede a Leith, gli autobus dal centro e dall'aeroporto esprimono 200 fermate direttamente fuori e vicino alla passerella del canale di Leith, il che è carino. Attualmente ci sono molti lavori di costruzione del tram all'esterno, il che rende la posizione più brutta e più difficile da navigare del normale. Le camere sono di buone dimensioni pulite e accettabili. La colazione è ok. Alcuni membri del personale sono piuttosto scontrosi, molto scontrosi quando ho fatto il check-in e si sono rifiutati di aiutarmi a prolungare la mia prenotazione, costringendomi a prenotare un altro posto.

La stanza è grande, puoi comprare acqua e cibo da Tesco dall'altra parte della strada e il pasto fisso KFC dall'altra parte della strada costa circa 8 sterline. Camminando 100 metri verso est c'è il tram. Il biglietto giornaliero costa 5 sterline e il biglietto di sola andata costa 2 sterline. Puoi acquistarlo strisciando una carta di credito o inserendo una carta. Andare all'aeroporto è leggermente più costoso, costa 7,5 sterline solo andata, indipendentemente dalla distanza. Proprio come all'Ibis Novotel di Londra, non è possibile lavare i panni, ma solo consegnarli al fattorino della lavanderia APP per ritirarli. Questa impostazione è davvero strana. Faccio ancora lavare i miei vestiti all'Hilton. Edimburgo non è grande e praticamente puoi visitarla in un giorno. Scendi a Princes Street e visita il National Museum and Art Gallery of Scotland e il Museum of Modern Art. Il resto dei punti di riferimento sono tutti insieme e puoi praticamente passeggiare loro C'è l'India vicino alla Biblioteca Nazionale, ristoranti italiani e cinesi del Sichuan. The overall experience was alright but not highly satisfied.
I chose the hotel because we hope to stay in the Mansion with long history and heritage that hopefully make our family journey more enjoyable.
Before we go, I searched for the comment on websites and found some travellers give bad comments e.g. small bathroom with mold, dusty table and floor mat, etc.
Thanks for providing these honest comment so I reduce my own expectation a little bit.
When we enter the hotel room, warm welcome received from hotel staff. We arrived at 15pm and thought we can have some teatime in the hotel but sadly we were told teatime must be book 24hrs in advance. They can serve us scones and tea instead.
Then we went to our the double bed room 14sq.m one and it does look small, especially the toilet is small like a hostel or affordable stay instead of a hotel room charging gbp170 a night which we have expected it should be more than that.
The sink was so small, have to wash hands really carefully otherwise water will be spitted everywhere.
The tea corner, the alarm, the window were dusty,
The cup and spoon were not clean properly.
Despite all these,
The bed was fine and comfy. The hotel building itself is historical and beautiful, with multiple dining rooms serving lunch, tea, dinner.
Bar service serving drinks, large library, board games available for kids, very spacious greenfield and beautiful rose garden.
Morning breakfast 8-10am is a self-service one and the food were hot and fresh.
In overall, the beautiful nature surrounded and the historical building itself make the whole experience happy, but the hotel service and hygiene level do recommend for improvement.

Il mio compagno e io siamo arrivati tardi dopo un volo all'aeroporto di Edimburgo e sono stati salutati da un personale molto amichevole durante la notte di trasloco. L'intero hotel sembrava frescamente decorato con nuovi accessori e accessori, tutti sembravano di alta qualità. La nostra camera (camera 4) era meravigliosomente designata, il letto era molto comodo e la doccia era fantastica. Il colazione era fresca cucinato e servito molto rapidamente. Per ciò che abbiamo pagato questo hotel vale un 10/10 ogni giorno!!

Quando sono arrivato mi è stato dato una camera gemella mentre prenotavo un doppio . Non la loro colpa, ma il partner di viaggio . Com. Nessun altro doppio disponibile, quindi li ho chiesto di mettere insieme due letti singoli, così non caderò a notte . Lol. Erano morti carini e lo hanno fatto per me. Bello ambiente non lontano dalla stazione ferroviaria vicina. Defo andrà di nuovo lì per rimanere

Brilliant location & only a 15 minute walk from the train station. The reception staff were friendly & helpful, we had breakfast included which again was great. Wonderful stay in a wonderful city

NNuomandimaotouyingProbabilmente l'hotel più confortevole in cui ho soggiornato durante questo viaggio.
Innanzitutto parliamo della posizione: è nella nuova città, ci vogliono circa 10 minuti a piedi dalla stazione di Wavely, è proprio accanto al teatro e alle spalle di Calton Hill. Ci sono due grandi centri commerciali nelle vicinanze, John Lewis, e un altro di cui non ricordo il nome. Almeno garantisce che mangiare sia conveniente e tornare a casa tardi non sia pericoloso. Se non vuoi camminare, puoi uscire e prendere il tram.
Dotazioni: Il bagno è dotato di termosifone, la finestra si può aprire e ci sono molti canali TV, comprese le stazioni radio tedesche e francesi. Il bagno è molto spazioso. Prima avevo visto qualcuno lamentarsi del lavandino, il che era un po' strano, ma non mi dava fastidio.

UUtente ospiteSolo visit as visiting the city, Edinburgh always been on my ”bucket” list and this hotel is just a gem! Not a 5 star building but most definitely a 5 star experience. I was met by Anthony who checked me in promptly and efficiently, he was very informative and helped me with a few tourist things. My room was perfectly fine, a little dated but nothing drastic. Breakfast perfectly cooked and everything you could have wanted, loved the porridge. I will be back again!

UUtente ospiteI am shocked to see the hotel with a 4-star rating on here. Everything about our experience was brilliant. We visited the hotel towards the end of March for a friends wedding. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, the drive in, the main reception building, the function room. A really special place to tie the knot. I think I can speak for most of the wedding party in saying the service was absolutely brilliant. All the staff were so attentive and really went above and beyond in catering to everybody’s needs. A special mention to Sofie and Johanna who were tending the bar. They really outdid themselves, professional and extremely pleasant throughout. I can’t imagine how hard it must be dealing with so many merry party goes but they did it with a smile and really went the extra mile and helped to make it a really great day. But thank you to everyone at the Dalmahoy, it was an amazing day.

UUtente ospiteIl hotel è fuori dalla pista battuta e non ha nulla a che vedere con il rumore esterno. La stanza che ci era stata assegnata era solo circa la dimensione ok saggio, mobili più vecchio stile e era ok, molto pulito, anche se era come il bagno che era ancora ok. La colazione aveva molte scelte, ma il server sembrava essere sotto pressione con la quantità di persone, poiché le ore erano state ridotti a solo 2 ore disponibili, dalle 7 alle 9:00 - immagino di ospitare la festa più grande che avevano ricevuto le loro alle 10.00. Il nostro colazione si è reso pressante, non ha tostato né bevuto.Non è un grande problema al colazione, ma non vuole davvero fare il colazione dopo una notte di Edimburgo. In sintesi, per il prezzo pagato, per l'eccellente posizione e per il buon personale, la decorazione è data ma pulita e adeguata, mi ritorcerebbe?Sì, se i prezzi fossero più competitivi.

La stanza sembra una stanza d'ospedale, ma nel complesso abbiamo trascorso un buon soggiorno in hotel. Sono 10-15 minuti a piedi dal centro città.

JJuliaThe hotel is located in a quiet area close to the city center (it took us 30 minutes to walk with a child from the train station).
There are many different restaurants and cafes nearby, and the transportation links are excellent, with a bus and tram stop literally a 2-minute walk away, as well as the Haymarket railway station. If you plan on traveling outside Edinburgh, this would be convenient for you.
The hotel serves good breakfasts with a convenient serving time from 7:30-10:00, so you can always have breakfast in the morning and go for a walk. The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art is a 15-minute walk from the hotel.
We stayed in room 63, which was clean and warm (we stayed in February), and the room was regularly cleaned.
As for the downsides, I can note the size of the room and bathroom. We booked a 25m2 room, but in reality, it did not correspond to the declared size and was very small, feeling no more than 12m2. This fact disappointed me. Therefore, I recommend always clarifying this point.

We were a little apprehensive about this place after reading some of the reviews, but in the end, we had no problems or dramas. The instructions to gain access and collect the keyword simple and straightforward and happily everything worked. The room was perfectly clean, as was the bedding and towels.the water was always warm, although the cistern did take its time to fill. It took us a day to realise that if we needed clean cups or glasses and extra coffee tea and milk to just help ourselves from the lounge and leave our mucky cups in the tray there. As it is a double room having two proper chairs would have been nice. It is in a really nice area with rail bus and tram links to all parts of the city, although we mainly walked, taking about 30 minutes to get to the middle of Princes St. At the price we paid we would happily return.
