Hotel a 3 stelle a Dutchess County

Abbiamo scelto l'hotel per la terza volta. Mio marito ha partecipato a un seminario presso IBM e la distanza breve è uno dei punti che sempre apprezziamo. Ci sono altri vantaggi che ci hanno fatto scegliere questo hotel e questa volta non erano più offerti. Il pranzo è stato usato per essere molto completo e non è più completo, per esempio non offre frutta. Un altro servizio che apprezzavamo quando ero sola all'hotel mentre mio marito studiava era una macchina cortese che mi ha portato a qualche volta al corridoio. Il servizio non è più disponibile, la stanza non è stata pulita nelle 5 notti di soggiorno. Se dovessimo cambiare le tovaglie dovevamo andare alla reception per chiederle e invece di dare un set completo, si sono chiesti quanti ne avevamo bisogno. Hanno avuto una ricezione sociale 3 giorni alla settimana, la sera, con bevande e cibo e non lo fanno più .... Hanno abbastanza spazio per farlo fuori o per mettere bevande e cibo inconfezionato o hamburger cucinati fuori come hanno fatto qualche anno fa Nostro In altri hotel Marriott dove abbiamo soggiornato pochi giorni dopo abbiamo avuto colazione completa, pulizia quotidiana della stanza e eccellente qualità di servizio. La prossima volta sceliamo l'hotel Homewood Suites recentemente aperto che ha il vantaggio di vicinanza a IBM

At the moment, this is the best hotel in Fishkill. I've stayed in every single one of them, since I go there regularly. It's very clean and new, with nice decor. I was really surprised by the size of the room - we got a regular King room and it had a large kitchen, living area, desk, and bedroom area. The desk was really large, the sofa was a sectional, and the kitchen had a breakfast bar with two seats in it. We had so much more room than we are used to. It was really comfortable. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The only negatives were uncomfortable pillows, and the fact that the temperature in the room was too high. Even with the heat off, it was still 71, which is a little too warm for me at night. The window would not open (we were on the first floor). Also, beware that on the first floor you can hear some noise from above, including showers and walking, although I found a white noise app was enough to drown that out. Breakfast was typical, but about as good as a breakfast buffet gets. I'd definitely go back here, especially since it was so much more comfortable than the surrounding hotels, most of which have gotten old and failed to replace things like worn-out mattresses.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our room at Springhill Suites, and the lobby was a very nice place to hang out and relax. It is also the area where you eat their breakfast, which is also really good. Checkin was very easy, staff was attentive and professional. Our room was on level 3, right next to the elevator, but the noise from the elevator wasn't an issue (by the way, the elevators were fast). The problem that we had with noise was coming from above us. By the sounds of the constant running and thumping, I am guessing it was kids above us. Aside from the noise issue, the room was quite large and comfortable and clean. Plenty of lights, and great blackout curtains. I loved that the desk area with a couch could be separated from the bed area by a window-like glass panel. However, the panels were loose in the sliding track, and every step, every movement caused the glass panels to jiggle and make a clattering noise. I was able to finagle the panels so the clattering sound was minimized. The bathroom floor was in bad shape though. The tiles were badly laid, and the grout around them was crumbling. It was so significant that the tiles moved and slid when they were stepped on. I believe I could have just picked the tiles up from the floor, but I didn't want to do that. They need to get their subcontractors back to regrout those tiles. There were a couple of other issues in the bathroom in the shower. The controls for the shower are strange in that you have to turn your back to the shower head to find the control for the water temperature. There was no indication that it was a hot/cold control, and I took a mostly cold shower until I turned around and tried the lever on the opposite wall.. I have no idea what the controls in front of me were (my front to the shower head), but I ended up getting sprayed directly in the face twice. It was a bit confusing. Even with the shower door completely closed, water had pooled out of the bottom of the shower and onto the floor, running toward the carpeted room. I did what I could to sop up the water, but that shower door needed some work as well. I know all this sounds bad, but we really did like it here. It is a great hotel. I would come again, only I would ask for a room on the fourth floor. And I would hope that the bathroom tile issues were only in the room I was in, and not every room. Everyone who worked here was very nice, and we enjoyed a couple of drinks at the bar.

Amore questa prenotazione, ero lì per due notti.
