Romantik Hotel Bulow Residenz

Het hotel is gekoppeld aan een zeer luxueus hotel dat vlak bij licht. Bij aankomst bleek ik daar te moeten inchecken want het hotel was die middag onbemand. Alle faciliteiten bevinden zich in het andere hotel. Het hotel was erg goed. Prima bed en mooie badkamer. Als uitvalsbasis naar het centrum van Dresden heel erg geschikt. na 5 minuten lopen over een brug sta je je hartje centrum! Parkeren kan op straat of in een ondergrondse garage onder het bijbehorende hotel. Het ontbijt, dat wel in het hotel geserveerd werd, was zeer uitgebreid en van hoge kwaliteit. Zelden zoveel lekkere dingen bij elkaar gezien. Helaas had ik de avond ervoor niet voor het diner gereserveerd. Door een vriendelijke barman werd ik opgevangen en kon ik in de bar / lounge eten. Erg lekker met prima lokale wijnen.

One of the best hotels we have been in. The little touches and excellent staff made our brief stay memorable. We would thoroughly recommend this over the other hotel we have stayed at in the wonderful city of Dresden. The hotel is well positioned and in a quiet area. We did not use the breakfast facility which looked great, we just cannot eat 30 euros of food each at breakfast. Plenty did though.

Alles was perfect

The four star Bulow Residenz is one minute walk down the road from the five star Bulow Palais. When we stayed at the Residenz the reception desk was only staffed for some of the day, so when checking out in the morning we had to walk to the Palais. It felt we were rather alone in the Residenz. But the reception member of staff at the Palais was extremely helpful and friendly and he answered all my questions.

This hotel is in a charming traditional baroque area of the Neustadt rather than the tourist dominated Altstadt. The area is quiet and our room especially so because it overlooked the inner courtyard. Bedrooms are a good size with traditional styling matching the era of the building. Our bathroom was adequately equipped but disappointingly small for a hotel of this quality. Our main, and fundamental, criticism of this hotel was that breakfast was not available in its own breakfast room as stated on its website and booking confirmation. It was instead provided at the neighbouring sister hotel, the Bulow Palais; fortunately for us the weather was chilly but fine for the morning 150m walk. The enhanced Palais breakfast was superb, with exemplary table service for cooked meals and a huge variety of delicacies at the buffet. It was provided at the Residenz price but that does not make this unannounced change acceptable. With online communications available, we should at least have been told about the changed breakfast arrangements in advance; failure to communicate is unacceptable in this standard of hotel. Accordingly, and at best, we can therefore only rate it average.

Das Hotel liegt an einer ruhigen Straße und die Altstadt ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Es ist sehr sauber, das Frühstück ist klasse und das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Sehr angenehmes Hotel mit entspannter Atmosphäre. Es war sauber, die Ausstattung des Zimmers ließ nichts zu wünschen übrig, vor allem war es sehr ruhig zum Innenhof.
