Ora, se non fosse stato il Ritz e solo un normale hotel 5*, forse lo darei 4* ma questo è il Ritz! La stanza era buona, il personale era buono, il centro fitness era buono, ma niente (e nessuno) era eccezionale. Ok, niente. Il cibo che avevo durante la mia conferenza era incredibile! Era meglio di qualsiasi altro pasto che avevo fuori nella città. Ecco la mia principale carne. Nel sito, indica che ci sono camere da vapore complimentari presso il centro fitness. Tuttavia, quando ho chiesto, mi è stato detto che era $70 per un giorno passato! Anche quando ho mostrato il desk front the website wording, non mi hanno ancora lasciato usarlo per 30 minuti. (Aggiungo che nelle quattro stagioni della settimana precedente, sono stato benvenuto a utilizzare la sala da vapore del bagno su base giornaliera gratuitamente). There are not enough words to describe the poor design and complete uselessness of a barn door on a bathroom. The door in our room was pulling the bolts that supported it out of the wall, making it rest on the floor, nearly impossible to move. To Indigo's credit, they sent maintenance to tighten the screws, which pulled back out of the wall the instant the door was moved again. When I complained a second time I was told ”They're just really heavy,” which, again, huh? A guest is expected to be able to move a 200lb fire hazard to use the toilet? Worse, even had it been newly hung and in pristine condition, a barn door hangs off of a protruding track on the wall. Meaning, one has no control over seeing, hearing, and smelling whomever is using the bathroom. Why is this so galling? A bathroom is literally the only place people expect full privacy. I was traveling with a film crew, co-workers. We were made to sit on the toilet and shower in front of each other because a barn doesn't actually close. I was offered a move to another room with a barn door toilet, and declined for the above reasons. I haven't even mentioned the haze, the actual fog, of smoke on our ”smoke free” floor. We were forced to get high without consent as well. At check out I asked for a discount because of our bad experience, and was denied. Thank god for social media. Steer clear of this nightmare Joanna Gaines hotel.

We stayed here in December and were thoroughly disappointed by our stay. As it was advertised as an ”upscale, premium” hostel we thought it worth it to pay a little more but the actual hostel rooms and amenities were equivalent to most other hostels. Then, during our first night we were woken up at 4am on the first night to three men yelling at each other and physically fighting with each other before it sounded like somebody tumbled down the stairs. Afterwords we heard them yelling and shouting for another half hour or so while one of them was audibly retching. After a while one or another of them began yelling repeatedly ”help! someone help!”. At this my partner got out of bed and stuck his head out to find out what was happening and was told it was a ”long story, don't worry about it” by the person throwing up who may also have worked at the hostel. We later learned that the hostel is above a music venue and the two businesses share an elevator. It's possible that the scuffle we heard was caused by concert goers who had drunkenly wandered into the hostel, but that didn't necessarily make us feel any safer After that first night, we decided to stay somewhere else, rather than risk another night of interrupted sleep when we had wedding events to attend the next day. Upon check-out we inquired whether we might be able to cancel our second night because of the disturbance but the staff member told us that ”it's a hostel, that's kind of what you get.” We did not get our money back. I've stayed at many hostels and have never experienced something like this. If you're choosing between this hostel and a more expensive hotel closer in to the Mall or the Milk Block, go with the hotel. The savings aren't worth it.
