We had booked our stay for 4 nights at Summit Bougainville ( their Premium rooms), hoping for a nice comfortable quiet stay. Instead, the hotel, from the first glance itself, put us right Off. Definitely not 3 star BY ANY MEANS WHATSOEVER, I would not rate it beyond 1 star. Dingy drab rooms and even dingier dark tiny bathrooms ( with no proper lighting even!) There was nothing remotely 'Premium' about the rooms! The Suite was marginally better because it had a small terrace attached. The food was also just about passable....their chefs always seem to undercook the chicken, which is actually a health hazard! We had to send back the very first dish we ordered for lunch ( Chicken Lucknowi) because it was undercooked and raw! The towels and linen at Summit Bougainville are another DISASTER!! Thank God, we had carried our own towel, because their linen was DIRTY AND OLD AND DEFINITELY NOT USABLE!! Summit Hotels, either you must re- evaluate and change your hotels maintenance or please shut down! I'd like my readers to also know this.... because I wrote a negative review for their West Gate Pousada Hotel, Darjeeling, the mgmt requested me to pull down the review and write better! But sorry',I cannot do that. I cannot write wrong reviews , because I owe it to my readers and other travellers, to write an honest review, so they can make calculated decisions whilst booking their hotels. Instead of asking me to write a dishonest review, Summit needs to URGENTLY pull up their socks and better their hotels, rooms, facilities and food!! I am done with this hotel chain and will never again choose them. If you do....be prepared for disappointment.
