Cusco Rock Hostel

The views and the location make this hostel a great place to stay when you visit Cusco! It’s a bit uphill from the plaza, but very close to everything. If you want to hike in the north eastern part of the city, you are almost at all the start points of the trails. Very clean and friendly service.

All in all great rooms and very clean. It has a nice rustic vibe and the location is good but it is uphill so you must be prepared for that, but it is compensated by a good view from the bar. The manager is very friendly and helpful and when there was a mix up with my reservation it was solved immediately.

This place is horrible. First of all, the location is not great. You have to hike up a hundred stairs to get to it, larger cars can not get up the street. So if you’re not acclimated to Cusco elevation this is a challenge every time you leave the hostel. Secondly, you have to ring a doorbell to get in. They don’t always come right away so you could be standing there at night for over 5 minutes waiting to be let in. Our room was disgusting. It smelt like sewage water. We booked a double bed private and it was cramped with 3 beds. Only one window that looked inward to the hotel. The toilet would not flush the majority of the time. They were doing construction on the bathroom in the room next door so all day long there was really loud banging. We asked to change rooms and the manager initially told us we could. We came back later in that day and he now said that no other rooms were available. They did not see anything wrong with our room even though the toilet did not work and it SMELLED SO BAD. Also there’s no common area or any fun hostel vibes. Do not book.

La habitación limpia, confortable. El personal muy amable. El desayuno muy bueno. Dejamos el equipaje por 4 días porque teníamos una excursión. Todo perfecto. Se encargaron del traslado desde y hacia el aeropuerto, sin necesidad de preocuparnos por nada. Sin duda volvería

Mi estadia fue muy confortable. El lugar esta muy bien ubicado, en una zona antigua y pintoresca de Cusco. A muy pocas cuadras de la Plaza principal. Con diversos lugares para comer a pocas cuadras y a muy buen precio. La atención excelente. Las habitaciones amplias, cómodas y limpias.

Muy bien ubicado, pintoresco y con una vista inmejorable desde la terraza. Las habitaciones son amplias y luminosas. Está bastante fresco adentro pero tienen ropa de cama muy abrigada . Me atendieron muy bien y me orientaron para poder moverme en la ciudad. Sin duda volvería a elegirlo.

Excelente el servicio, la comida y la ubicación, en el hermoso barrio bohemio de san Blas. La atención del Daniel para destacar siempre muy amable !.Las habitaciones son correctas muy cómodas las camas. Increíbles las cenas y los desayunos, nos hacían palta con huevo o cupcakes y las demás cosas de rigor

Eviten quedarse aquí. Toda la atención es lenta (45 minutos de espera en la mesa para que pudieramos desayunar) y hay que estar rogando para que te ayuden en algo. El ambiente no es agradable, pero lo peor es el dueño/gerente Daniel. Se le "olvida" que reservaste y te ves en la horrible necesidad de buscar alojamiento regresando de un trek de varios días a las 10 pm (que por lo que leo le ha pasado a varias personas). Hay decenas de opciones en Cusco, no puedo imaginarme algo peor que un hostal que pierde las reservaciones que te aseguran "ya están registradas en su sistema" y que acabes buscando otra opción urgente cuando regresas de un trek de varios días. No me arriesgaría jamás a llevar un tour con ellos en donde la logística es mucho más compleja que reservar una habitación.

Muy buena la atención, tanto de Daniel como de todo el hostel muy atentos a los pedidos y necesidades de cada uno. Guardaron el equipaje sin problema mientras hacía las excursiones de varios días. Excelente lugar para estar en Cusco. Volvería
