My son and I stayed at the vineyard for 8 nights in janauary. We have stayed all over the world in 4 and 5 star hotels and this is the best hotel we have stayed in. In our opinion it should be a 5 star. From the moment you arrive you are greeted at your car with smiling faces and made to feel welcome. Nearly every staff member we encountered in our stay were friendly helpful and smiling with waves and good mornings. A huge thank you to olona on the front desk who was superb.her smiling face and eagerness to help were a breath of fresh air.she truly is lovely and every hotel needs an olona ! Rooms..we had a mountain facing room which was lovely. Tastefully decorated. Spotless. Nespresso machine with pods .huge bath and walk in shower. Powerful hair dryer. Fridge. Free bottles of water and milk daily. Smart TV where we could watch all our premier league and fa Cup games which was great for us ! Fast free WiFi throughout the hotel. The view of table mountain was stunning and we still miss it. Grounds..the grounds were beautiful with waterfall and roaming tortoises. Lush greenery and places to sit to enjoy the spectacular views. There is a river walk in the grounds which is beautiful. Pools..there is a lovely outdoor pool and a smaller indoor pool with free towels. While we were there there were always free sunbeds . Food..all I can say is wow. You can eat breakfast in the gorgeous square restaurant or outside which does get busy as this is a conference hotel also although this never bothered us and we easily found a table inside at any time. The breakfast choices are amazing and you can eat from the plentiful buffet or order from the menu. All the food we ate at breakfast, lunch and dinner was superbly cooked and presented. Sometimes we ate lunch outside and we always tried different things and it was all delicious. On an evening we ate at the hotel restaurant moori which is a lovely calming atmosphere. The staff are superb and the food is to die for with in between appetisers given for free. Its the nicest food we have ever eaten and we tried many different dishes ...they were all stunning ! The hotel itself is beautiful and low rise not some awful high rise building.it has loads of character and is decorated tastefully. It is a pleasure to be in its calming peaceful atmosphere surrounded by smiling faces. We travelled a long way from the uk to cape town and we never visit the same place twice but as this hotel was so amazing in all aspects we will one day be coming back to the vineyard to experience its friendliness and luxuries once more. Thank you to all the vineyard staff who made our holiday so memorable !

Fantastic location , incredible staff, amazing food and wine , overall a superb experience . Set 15 minutes drive from the city centre and 15 minutes to the airport the Vineyard has the perfect location. Set in luscious green gardens at the foot of table mountain one feels in a city retreat away from it all. It's a long time since ive had consistently good service from hotel staff. Each and every member truly cares .

I was at an event hosted at this hotel and the venue was beautiful, aesthetic interior and stunning scenic views. The space is well kept and the decoration and art inside really brings the hotel to life. Also had a light lunch at the lounge café downstairs and the food was very good quality and well presented. Only point I would improve on is having the staff be friendlier as half of the ones I dealt with were serious but only a minor point. Overall, very nice!

We were at The Vineyard for a conference. The service was excellent, food amazing and nothing was too much to ask. Always someone willing to assist. Ate way too much and in such a beautiful setting, it made it even more memorable. Highly recommend this venue.

Excellent Hotel in Cape Town. Situated in a leafy, safe , beautiful area of Cape town with easy access to anywhere in the city. (10/15 mins to almost anywhere in the city - Ubers very cheap and pickup within a few mins) Room was exceptionally clean and bed comfortable. View of the mountains was a beautiful backdrop to the hotel and grounds. Staff were all exceptionally friendly and service impeccable. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of both buffet and a la carte. Grounds and hotel were beautiful. Will definitely return!

The perfect hotel in Cape Town located in quiet surroundings with fantastic views from the room (mountain view). Fantastically good breakfast, both the buffet and the dishes you ordered. The other food was also very good. Nice to have lunch out in the garden. The pool and its surroundings are perfectly fine for a few hours of relaxation after golf or another activity. Close to the shopping center and to some good restaurants if you want to eat out without having to take a taxi.

We got a Mountain View suite which was a very spacious comfortable room with a balcony and view of the back of table mountain. The breakfasts were lovely and the service was amazing. I loved the various tortoises walking around and the outside bar/ restaurant. Would go back.

This feels like a real part of the neighbourhood and has a great buzz to it. It is not the smartest or grandest place to stay in Cape Town but it is popular for a reason, stunningly beautiful and large gardens overlooking the back of Table Mountain, friendly and helpful staff, good food and pleasant spacious rooms, all with a sense of history and place. We had rooms with a small outside area facing the gardens which I would recommend although the old part of the hotel looks nice too. It was busy during our stay which was mostly fine but breakfast was a bit slow so arrive early - they are clearly hampered by having to do table service for everything instead of a buffet so probably better in normal times. The restaurant is a bit dated in style but the food is good and service swift and friendly. The pool is lovely and I liked the look of the spa but didn't get chance to try it sadly. Great for families and the kind of place you come back to year after year like an old friend.
