checked into a room that could only sleep 3 people. I went back down to reception to ask where the other bed were, They told us that they were fully booked so they didn't have the space for us all to have a bed, by this point im sure you can imagine why we were feeling very angry. We had been traveling for 10 hours. We were asked to get into an unknown car with an unknown gentleman with our bags to go to another hotel, At this point my children were crying, scared, hungry and very tired. We arrive at another hotel, they wanted to take our bags out and leave us there. We asked to see the room first, at this point the car boot was open and left unattended with our valuable travel bags. I asked if someone would stay and watch them while we checked the room and number of beds to come back down and find our bags left unsecured with the car doors/boot open. the room can only be described as dirty and had a very bad smell with a pair of someone's sliders at the door. We believe this was maybe someone's staff accommodation. We refused to stay and asked to be taken back to Green life hotel. When we got back we begged for them to provide us with a bed. All they kept saying was 'tomorrow' a better English spoken staff explained that tomorrow we will have a room with enough beds and to apologise he would connect us all to the internet, which he only gave two out for four that was promised. That night I had to sleep on a hard tilled floor with a pillow about the size of a foot. The following morning, I went to reception to ask for a room so I could catch up on some sleep that I didn't get the night before. I was told to come back at 10am. Went back at 10:15am to say we had a room, we asked to have a look before we moved our bags. He said the cleaner was upstairs and they would let us in to have a look. We was given the room number written on a piece of paper. When we arrived we tried to speak to the cleaner who wasn't cleaning that room but was cleaning a room on that floor. She couldn't understand us and we couldn’t understand her due to a language barrier however she opened the room for us to enter. I couldn't believe my eyes, this room was full of someone else belongings everywhere. I actually had full access to someone’s room. I was given access to someone's private space so easily wow. I went back to reception to tell them this room is occupied by another family and I also shouldn't have been given access to this either. I'm absolutely furious at this point! I explained to the manager I wanted out of this hotel. My partner and children were in tears and everyone just wanted to go back home to England. Eventually we was given another room number, off we went to check this one. Finally we all had a bed each. We moved our things and settled into our room. I have never stayed in an all inclusive hotel where you pay for all inclusive the day you travel (even though you don’t get it) but we have always had something kept to one side for us on arrival. T

I have just got back from this hotel, if like me you are booking because it advertises a gym please do not book, the gym has 5-6 loose Argos weights, no AC, smells of mould and its water logged, the freestanding equipment does not work and its a health and safety hazard! The hotel is not bad, some AC units do not work, for me the hotel was just a pitstop at night not the greatest rooms and deffo not a 4 star I would give it a 2 star at a push, staff are friendly, the all inclusive is a little repetitive, lets start with the bar, Efes beer on tap from 10am to 11pm, white wine and red, vodka an gin are free, any cocktails you pay for, soft drinks and coffee machine you can help yourself. Food: salad bar is insane with a huge variety, meal wise same dishes each day really, turkey stew, chicken stew, sometimes they may serve kebab meat and fish with lots of bones, desert seems good. Pool: no life guard so keep an eye on kids, small water slide, but I did not smell any chlorine so unsure how clean it was, to get to the beach you have a busy dual carriage way so you will have to walk up and use the underpass, now onto the beach, its not a private beach at all, its 5 euros each all day, the restaurant does do good food but you will pay for that and drinks, anyone can walk onto it, staff there are lovely though. At the hotel you will be approached by a rep from the local Bazar which is half hour away by car, he will offer a free lift there and back to visit clothing shops, they will usher you into THERE OWN shop and pressure sale you, if you don't buy enough no lift back, they then march you with staff to other shops they own to buy from there, I'm a big guy so i backed them down but if you cant handle pressure from multiple men at once do not go, go on your own by taking the bus which stops outside. There is ZERO and I mean ZERO entertainment by the pool at night, you might get 1 belly dancer during the week but that's it, just light music in the background where the Bora Bora hotel across the street was jumping every night! The elevator was dodgy and doors sometime take time to open so I walked every day 10 flights by stairs so I didn't get stuck in it, although they did change my room eventually.

Hotel rooms: good space, well appointed, lots of hanging storage space (not many hangars), only x2 small drawers and no iron in room. Tea and coffee available but kettle leaked (had x2 both leaked). No milk available. Small fridge frequently refilled with water. Nice beds (but pull out bed had very poor mattress, wouldn’t advise use for more than a night). Bedding and towels ok, rooms cleaned well and linen changed regularly. Bathroom ok, has hairdryer, and shower gel. Other accessories such as cotton buds and shower caps in wardrobe. Large mirror in bathroom and mirrored robes. No magnifying mirror which might have been helpful. Bathroom bin pedal didn’t work: inconvenient. Very small balcony with plastic chairs. Clothes drying provided by only x4 pronged struts (not enough). Good air con (AC), lots of sockets, TV was ok and nice lighting. Safe in room. Location: a bit far from centre. Taxi is 3-500 Lira to the centre. Or take a very long (approx 5 mile) walk stopping at bars etc along the way (takes about 2 hrs without stops or 3-4 with a few drinks and a lunch on the way). Views from hotel not great unless you have premium rooms looking out to sea… can be noisy with roads. Beach:2 mins across the road with shuttle, only 5 to walk. Beach gravelly and pebbly, small wooden walkway and pier there, can access water from that or from beach. Nice beach beds but poor mattresses. Good towel exchange for beach if needed. Nice bar and snacks at beach. Pool: main pool lots of space and good beds etc. good bar service at pool. Music loud/ noisy though. Quiet pool has nice beds, but they are frequently covered in towels early morning so not always available. Food: Breakfast range excellent. Fruit always available. A good range of food at main means , salads are excellent and very fresh. Hot food a little on the cool ode (temperature control not good). Generally nice though and always had meat, fish and bbq options. Options through night and all day available (including cake bar). Drinks: Coffee is great. Alcohol not branded options (although bottles look to be). Wine is not good, avoid). Cocktails ok once you’ve had a few. Spa/gym: looked well equipped and accessible. Treatments seemed expensive compared to other hotels and in the centre (I didn’t use the services but those who did reported it to be positive). Hotel shop: limited options and expensive by comparison. Local small supermarket has all toiletries etc at very cheap prices (2 mins walk down the road). Staff: Some great some not so great (same as anywhere else). Cleaning/ housekeeping staff VERY good. Reception staff could be a little abrupt. Bar staff ok, restaurant staff seemed very busy but also keen to help. Entertainment: Not much on offer. 2 staff offering range of music between 21:30-23:30 (mainly ABBA and some modern pop and rap. Saw a good live dancing show 1 evening. Had a live singer another. Some karaoke also on. Better options for entertainment can be found along bars on way

Second time iv been to Grand Kaptan Alanya, honestly dont listen to bad reviews, iv already booked for next year. Firstly staff are amazing, very polite, helpful and always have a smile, the spa is amazing and very reasonably priced, had a hamam and full body massage then booked another 5 full body Bali massage, Pebri has a god given gift with her hands, will be booking again next year, very sweet lady with a beautiful smile. The photographers are fantastic, made even me look like a model. From receptionists to bar staff to cleaners, can not fault them at all. The hotel is located in Oba, 15 min drive by a free shuttle bus to and from the hotel into Alanya town and marina. Private beach right in the door step. The Entertainment staff are brilliant, mr motivator coco and elvis have such high energy, the aqua aerobics and aqua zumba was such a laugh, im missing the sound of Elvis and his darts game lol. Lastly but not least the moon bar at the top of the hotel, most amazing views of Alanya castle and coast, best mojitos in alanya. Counting the days till I'm back again next October. Mi piaceva davvero il mio soggiorno, la posizione era molto buona.Le camere erano molto pulite.Il personale era professionale e amichevole, specialmente la signora Yeliz alla ricezione molto utile e carina.Il cibo, le bevande e il dolce era grande. Raccomando molto questo hotel per gli adulti . L'unica cosa cattiva che potrò confermare - solo per me - è stata che usavano un liquido di detergente che ha un forte odore e ho sofferto di questo come ho asma ma i custodi personali e i custodi ( Hadija e Gulaaiy ) hanno curato la mia stanza e attentamente... grazie a tutti.
