Disappointed today. The reason was due to bad customer service. Myself and my family are happy, polite people but were just met this Sunday morning with surprisingly awful customer service! We arrived at 10am hoping for coffee and cake, but there was no choice for me, being gluten free. Not even an alternative offered like toast?! Surely something that someone who has to eat gluten free can eat?! What about guests who stay there? Our server was completely unbothered about suggesting any options for any of us, even those who are able to eat normally and in the end after our coffees we walked into Christchurch to get something to eat, and we probably would have stayed at Captain’s club for lunch if we weren’t so fed up with the service! We had to chase everything that was ordered as it just did not arrive. Crazy?! And it wasn’t even busy. Beautiful setting, and lovely interior, sadly let down but awful customer service and lack of anything to eat or options offered?
