I have stay in room no ***. Very sad to said how this property is classified as 5 star. The reason there is no mini fridge in the room. I have meet Duty manager Mr.Rishi he told me upon request from guest then only they will place the fridge. This 1st time I come to know this kind of services.
Secondly I went to bar at lobby to have glass of beer. A female staff was there and told me small glass price is RS 550. So I gave her RS 1000 and she gave me balance of RS 300. I was shocked. Then the bar manager came and told me she mistakenly mentioned. Then I meet Floor Manager Mr. Varun and the explain everything. He feel sorry about it. So I definitely won’t recommend to anyone to stay here
Fantastic hospitality. Amazing Palace. Check in chek out was very smooth and hustle free. Room is very huge and nice. Food is excellent. Service is outstanding. All the staaf is amazing. Sayantanu and sumit at the reception is very helpful
This place was recommended by a friend who stays at Boat Club and I read reviews in Google, Tripadvisor and Aggregator sites.
We booked 2 rooms for 2N/3D stay at Crowne Plaza, Adyar, Chennai through an aggregator site. I called up the hotel to check on our reservation confirmation, but we were told that only one room is booked and they do not have second room confirmation. I called up the support team of aggregator and they confirmed it is 2 rooms and they called up the hotel and shared us an email confirmation. Later I called up the reservation desk and understood that 2 rooms are booked and it’s a confirmed reservation.
Our Check-in experience was good and the staff were courteous and quick.
We were allotted two rooms in old block at Floor number 14 (Room No 1403 and 1405). For a moment I recollected the online reviews I read and the pictures I saw about this hotel weren’t in the same. I thought I will revisit the reviews online and double check If I had made any mistakes in booking wrong hotel. I also called up my friend and told my experience isn’t great and the rooms are looking OLD and the plumbing systems inside the wash room and room telephony isn’t working well. I invited the hotel Duty ***ager (Mr.Josua) and showed him the plumbing system inside the wash room and asked him just because the I happened to book from an aggregator site and got attractive deals, we were given a poor looking rooms? Or is this a standard rooms that they offer for all type of bookings. (we discussed this after experiencing our stay in poor and old looking rooms for 1 night). Mr.Josua said the rooms in this floors are due for renovation and they would allot us rooms from new block. I told I would like to see the room before we move in. Mr.Murali took us to the new rooms and I could match the room pictures as posted in review sites. I told Murali and Josua, it is outrageous that they allotted old rooms to gullible guests. We moved into new rooms in Floor 25 (in new block)
The breakfast was awesome and service host (I think his name is Jibin).
Abbiamo sempre goduto di soggiornare a Taj Coromandel. Tutti i membri del personale ci hanno fatto sentire a casa con il loro servizio eccezionale. Le camere di gestione e di lusso sono estremamente confortevoli.

L'intera squadra di custodia che ha fatto qualcosa di piccolo ogni giorno per sorridere sulle nostre facce quando siamo tornati in camera.
L'intera squadra di cena in camera che ha ospitato i nostri ordini di cena e caffè tardi.
Abbiamo anche avuto il piacere di essere serviti da Formatori Santak e Shafira, che vorremmo cogliere l'occasione per desiderare loro tutto il meglio nel loro sforzo futuro e per raggiungere maggiori altezze in questo settore.
Grazie mille da parte nostra, e ci aspettiamo di rimanere con Taj Coromandel di nuovo per la prossima visita a Chennai.

La cena era meravigliosa, soprattutto il colazione.
Purtroppo la prenotazione che ho fatto attraverso Trip ,com non è stata rilasciata all'hotel. Quando sono entrato all'hotel non c'era alcuna prenotazione del mio record lì. Ho dovuto contattare un amico che conosceva il ***agger lì per risolvere il problema. Di conseguenza, devo aspettare 1.5 ore al lobby. E' una cattiva esperienza. In futuro, contatterò direttamente l'hotel piuttosto che passare attraverso un terzo.
Hotel molto moderno e silenzioso, bagno tutto tecnologico, simpatico ma se salta un fusibile come a noi non riesci nemmeno a tirare lo sciacquone ma comunque operai intervenuti subito. Camera super confortevole, colazione buona anche se ovviamente improntata sui cibi indiani. Cena buona, qualche problema come in tutta l'India con il loro inglese, noi per fortuna lo parliamo bene ma per avere una birra è stata una comica...comunque fa parte del folklore del viaggio in India..si sa..
One of a great hotels in Chennai. 10 mins away from shopping and restaurant by taxi. Staffs from the entrance, to the front desk, the waiters/waitress together with the house keeping staffs and not forgetting the technicians they were all super friendly and attentive.
Rooms are spacious and nice.
Overall we had a great stay and will surely stay here again for our next visit to Chennai.

I stayed there for 3 days good ambience and hospitality food served was very good and served on time particular there Rooftop Restaurant was even more attractive with open air ambience Overall Value for Money definitely Recommend

E hotel professes to provide luxurious accommodation, with a choice of two different room offerings, either the elegance room or the emperor suite. I was staying for 2 weeks and wanted to live like an emperor and also treat my wife to a special stay, I therefore chose the latter, which provides a separate lounge space with dining and kitchen, in addition to the bedroom. Based on the stylised photos I saw when booking, I was certain that I would not be disappointed by this hotel. I have stayed in many hotels in Chennai and the photos always matched the actual hotel’s interior and I have never questioned my choice of hotel or the price I was paying. The 2 week booking was quite expensive, costing well over £1k, but for me the cost was justified given the space and amenities I would be getting in return and the fact I would be having a luxurious experience. The significant number of positive reviews reinforced my belief that this was going to be a fabulous stay. I contacted the hotel 2 weeks prior to leaving the UK and requested an airport transfer for when I would arrive in Chennai, I received a response from Ramesh Subramanian, who confirmed that the airport transfer had been arranged. I rang the hotel a few days before the trip to confirm that the airport transfer was definitely still in place and Ramesh answered and confirmed that everything was in place. Content with everything so far, I left the UK for Chennai expecting a wonderful holiday. On arrival in Chennai, I collected my luggage and left the airport expecting a taxi to be waiting outside, I stood in the sizzling Chennai heat with my wife looking for a taxi driver that should be holding a sign board with my name on. It was incredibly uncomfortable due to the heat and also because I was being harrassed by other aggressive taxi drivers trying to make a quick buck. Eventually, I decided to ring the hotel to ask where the taxi was. Ramesh answered the phone and stated the driver should already be there and he would get in touch with the driver to find out where he was waiting. He then called me back to say that the driver was already waiting at arrivals, which is where I was stood. I looked out for the driver but again he was nowhere to be seen. I rang the hotel again and Ramesh stated he would contact the driver again. After multiple phone calls back and forth, between Ramesh and the driver and myself and Ramesh, the driver was still not at the arrivals, so I asked for the driver's number. I contacted the driver directly who stated that they were already at the airport waiting near a police booth. A booth which was right in front of my face. Unfortunately the driver was lying and Ramesh was also lying. The driver was in fact still on his way to the airport. My wife and I waited for 2 long hours before the driver actually arrived. By this point I was furious with Ramesh and the Taxi driver. To make matters worse, the driver's vehicle was old and very dirty inside, with heavily ripped
we had 3 rooms at Lotus for our family members. We stayed here for 8 nights. Good service. We had the Kitchenette suites so we had ample space in our rooms. We were very comfortable with 4 of us in our suite. They gave us an extra bed. The AC had some issues for about a day and a half. The hotel was nice enough to remove the extra bed charges through out our stay. Housekeeping, laundry etc. was wonderful. They were also able to arrange airport drop transportation services. They have complimentary breakfast which is quite good and they variety is nice. They change it up on a daily basis. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner as well on an ala carte basis. We ate many meals at the restaurant. Its primarily used by folks living at the hotel. The food is good and the service is even better. And room service is available and its quite quick. The only negative is I would say is that the wifi is not strong and it very flaky. So the connection keeps cutting in and out. Overall we were very satisfied with the experience and would consider this hotel again
