L’hotel è meraviglioso, in una location storica e in una posizione ottima per visitare la città. Peccato però che non sia all’altezza delle 5 stelle che gli sono state attribuite: la pulizia della camera era decisamente sommaria, un giorno alle 16.00 non era ancora stata sistemata e abbiamo dovuto sollecitare in reception. La cosa più grave è però che la nostra camera aveva odore di fumo, lo abbiamo segnalato, ma nessuno si è offerto di cambiarci sistemazione. Nessuno saluta in reception quando si passa davanti per uscire, nemmeno il portiere, il che non è adeguato al servizio che dovrebbero offrire. Solo un ragazzo che parlava italiano si è dimostrato gentile e cordiale. Nota di oggettivo merito sono la Spa e la palestra: entrambe belle e funzionali (anche se gli ingressi andrebbero contingentati), davvero ottimo il servizio massaggi.

Gli agenti del desk front sono stati estremamente utili e considerati. Tre pezzi di bagaglio sono stati trovati mancanti all'aeroporto internazionale di Bucarest. Mike, ha cercato di chiamare la compagnia aerea, rintracciando il nostro bagaglio. Quando era un fine settimana, doveva chiamare appartamenti diversi. In generale, l'hotel del personale era davvero incredibile. Ci è piaciuto il colazione che ha offerto molte scelte e un po' di gustoso. Le camere erano pulite e spaziose. Molto raccomandato.

Ci ho dormito recentemente cinque notti. La posizione é ottima, il panorama dai piani alti anche. Ed i pregi finiscono quì. La quinta stella é un ricordo di tempi migliori o meno esigenti, ma oggi non ha ragione di essere. Il personale é cortese, ma la gamma dei servizi é limitata ed antiquata. Le camere mostrano un evidente bisogno di manutenzione, dalla moquette vecchia e sporca agli accessori del bagno in precarie condizioni. Cucina discreta, buon room service. Colazione deplorevole, grande quantità ma bassissima qualità dei cibi. Affettati che sarebbero malinconici in un bed and breakfast, osceni per un 5 stelle. L'albergo ha vissuto anni migliori e si vede. 4 stelle sono una valutazione molto più veritiera. Ed anche lì servirebbe una profonda manutenzione delle camere ed un buffet a colazione più qualitativo.

Hotel : On arrival the hotel looks impressive. Although the area leaves a lot to be desired. Very narrow side street with limited parking facilities for our rental. The Epoque is not up to the standard of European Relais & Châteaux. Rooms / suite was very basic and overlooking very dilapidated buildings. There was quite a whiff from the bathroom and it was very difficult to access toilet! Facilities: Very limited and we were not advised at check in about location of gym. Wifi was reasonable.. there were some drop outs during our stay. TV’s are average and no Netflix or alternative streaming services Limited charging for mobile devices Small lobby area and that’s it apart from the terrace and a dining area The bedroom linen has seen better days and there were holes in the bathrobes! This was very disappointing and we should not have experienced this in a 4/5 star hotel. Food: Breakfast was good but pricey Dinner very pricey and some options over priced given the size of portions! Drinks outrageously expensive for mediocre plonk. Given that Romania has some great wines they certainly are not available here. Staff: friendly… that said there was a complete mess up with the bill on check out. It was not resolved to my satisfaction, I was informed it would be corrected when the bank charges were checked! So advice would be to try to pay cash as much as possible! Will visit Romania again. However Epoque not on our list and for the reasons noted above will not return.

L'hotel non dista molto dal centro ed in generale si presenta come una bella struttura moderna. I servizi però lasciano a desiderare e non vale quello che costa. Viaggiando con nostro figlio abbamo chiesto una tripla e ci hanno dato una doppia con una brandina bassissima e con un materassino sottilissimo... Scomodo a dir poco! In camera c'è un bollitore e il primo giorno abbiamo trovato tazze pulite e bustine di the e camomilla. Perfetto! Le abbiamo usate, ma le tazze non ci sono state mai cambiate e nemmeno le bustine usate sotituite con nuove... Letti tirati su frettolosamente senza nemmeno rimettere i doppi cuscini. Devo dire che però gli asciugamani li hanno cambiati, almeno questo. Colazione dolce molto basic: solo mini cornetti e mini saccottini al cioccolato che finivano in continuazione e ne rimettevano pochissimi per volta. Qualche volta abbiamo trovato dei pezzetti di torta tipo ciambellone, ma un pò secchi e insipidi. Nessun biscotto, nessuna costata, nessuno yogurt alla frutta. Un pò più varia la colazione salata. Quando c'è parecchia gente gli ascensori sono lentissimi, però purtroppo sono necessari perchè l'hotel ha parecchi piani. Nessuno dello staff parla italiano, ma questo è abbastanza nomale. Però non è normale che se gli chiedi una bustina di the perchè le camerie la mattina non te le hanno messe, ti rispondono che non possono farci niente e devi aspettare il giorno dopo. E comunque il giorno dopo la camera è nella stessa situazione del giorno prima... E' vero che l'hotel si trova abbastanza vicino al centro, ma una volta scoperta la comodità di Uber si può optare per prendere una struttura un pò più distante e farsi portare dove si vuole con costi bassissimi! In conclusione i servizi non sono all'altezza di un 4 stelle e il prezzo è più alto della media degli altri hotel.

LOVED this hotel. Great communication from booking through departure. Rooms were well appointed, comfortable, modern, and very clean. Staff was professional, and very helpful in terms of sightseeing, and eating and drinking tips. The hotel is in a PERFECT location in the middle of everything. It is in the middle of old town, near the Monastery, but Palace of Parliament is a quick and pleasant walk away, as is University Square and Revolution Square. Be aware that there is no elevator (I don't think?), but staff did help with luggage so it was absolutely no problem for us. Also be aware that the hotel is in a pedestrian only area, so if you are getting a car transfer to/from the hotel, you will need to plan accordingly. That said, staff went out of their way to coordinate with us when we were arriving (they actually provided the transfer from the airport at a very reasonable rate) and coordinate with our transfer service on the way out (and again helped with getting luggage to the pick up point which was very close anyway) so the process was seamless and was literally no inconvenience to us at all. I would definitely stay in this lovely property again, and hope to soon. I loved the city and will be back!

Questo hotel è molto bello in tutti i suoi aspetti, nella sua posizione, servizi. Anche il colazione era buono. Ma c'è un problema: nessuna auto, nessun taxi, può fermare il carico o il descarico di un passeggero davanti all'hotel, per le restrizioni stradali, quindi se avete bagagli, dovrete portarli da soli per circa due blocchi, al punto più vicino per arrivare o lasciare l'hotel.

Hotel in posizione centrale. Personale amichevole. Buona camera di dimensioni con comodo letto e cuscinetti. TV con Netflix ecc. buona camera da bagno, tuttavia l'acqua nel doccia era al meglio e molto spesso fredda. Colazione era povera! Opzioni limitate e uova fredde, secche ogni giorno!! I coni sono l'hotel è su una strada ridicola, rumorosa! Non la colpa dell'hotel che cerca di compensare questo avendo davvero letti confortevoli e fornendo cluci. Questa è la città più strana vecchia! Ancora una volta, non la colpa dell'hotel. Andate in una strada con bar e ristoranti che sono piene di tutti coloro che stanno costantemente cercando di farti venire nei loro bar. Questo è da 11:00 così anche quando si’è solo viaggiare durante il giorno... i tots vi mither di tentare di farvi entrare quando si’è solo cercando di tornare al vostro hotel. Ancora una volta, non gli hotel non sono colpevoli. L’hotel è anche tra 3 ‘bar maschi solo’. Il hotel e il personale sono bellissimi, ma non ci fermeremmo di nuovo per il motivo sopra descritto.

L'hotel si trova in una posizione strategica, proprio nel centro vecchio della città, a Lipscani. Si trova in zona pedonale e in una zona con tanta movida e locali. L'hotel è di recente costruzione, è molto bello, ben arredato e molto pulito. La nostra camera era spaziosa con un bagno molto grande con mega box doccia e la Smart TV con tutte le app a cui poter accedere (ottimo servizio oggigiorno e non ovvio in hotel). Connessione wifi velocissima. Il personale era estremamente gentile e pronto a soddisfare ogni richiesta o bisogno, parlano anche italiano. Molto buona la colazione alla mattina, da ordinare il giorno prima. L'unica pecca, se proprio vogliamo trovarla, è che almeno la nostra stanza era rumorosa, nel senso che si sentiva tutte le sere la musica alta dei locali fino a tarda notte e alla mattina dalle 7 i muratori nell'edificio davanti. Ma questo non è per colpa dell'hotel, è la posizione che per quanto comoda, è in un quartiere molto chiassoso. Consiglio l'albergo comunque a chi vuole visitare Bucarest, specie se vuole fare movida e uscire la sera e al contempo stare molto comodo in hotel, inoltre è piuttosto vicina anche la fermata metro Piata Unirii.

When i got there, I was told I was too early (fair enough, check-in is from 2 pm and i got there around 11.30) I had sort of anticipated this, so thought i would just kill some time at the skybar which supposedly has a great view - but much to my surprise, I was told the skybar was closed, only open for breakfast. Must be the biggest attraction of the hotel, and in their wisdom, they close it! So instead, I took a walk heading towards the parliament building which is preety close by. When i returned a while later, room was now ready but oh by the way, the lift doesnt work! So i now had to carry luggage up the fire exit staircase (room was on 4th floor). Very narrow and poorly lit, so if you have trouble walking - good luck. Just hope you dont meet somebody coming down - passing them will be a challenge :-) Reception said lift would be fixed in a day or two!! So i made it to the room and cannot really decide what to think of it. On the one hand, it was spotlessly clean and looked very new and modern but on the other hand: No coffee / tea, There was a minibar with some wine and soft drinks but no beer,No glasses to be found anywhere (so I guess, just drink the wine from the bottle),WiFi works but not very stable - keeps dropping out. At breakfast, the skybar was now open - 2 people in front of me for the coffee machine which was quite slow - turned out they were not guests - but the breakfast room staff!. When they finally had their coffee they went straigth out onto the open terrasse for a cigarette (very small outdoor terrase and the staff now occupied 1/3 of it) and started chatting quite loudly - so terrasse is just as much for the staff - not the guests only. And really - if staff of any kind of establishment wants to have a loud discussion, do so away from the guests!! Breakfast was very poor - quite frankly pathetic! - some dry toast bread, a little bit of cheese and some slices of what looked like ham/salami - nothing warm like e.g. eggs (of course the staff were busy out on the terrasse smoking and having a loud conversation). Definately not worth any money at all - instead head out for one of the many cafes very close by. The lobby has what looks like a bar, but all they sell is coffee. Big surprise to me when late afternoon after a long walk i came back, asked for a cold beer and was told they didnt have any!! You can have some wine from the minibar, but you cant have a beer anywhere. The day of departure i waited a little in the lobby for my taxi to the airport. Need to use a bathroom?? Too bad - just like the lift, out of order. This would be fixed ”in a day or 2” so clearly not a priority for this place. Wifi, although it did work in the room - no luck in the lobby - could not connect at all. The guy in the lobby was nice enough but most of the time you will find him outside, having a smoke. All in all, extremely dissapointed with this place. Wish i had gone back to Hello Hotel instead - breakfast much much better, you can

Struttura in pieno centro (dal balconcino ammiri lo storico Palazzo Hanu'Lui Manuc e la Basilica Sfanton Curtea Veche, che ti regalano la sensazione di ”vivere” l'atmosfera rumena; quindi ai margini del vivace quartiere di Lipscani con i suoi animati e poliedrici locali. Stanze eleganti, ampie e dotate di bollitore e macchina del caffè. Personale cordiale e professionale. Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo.

Sono stato a questo elegante hotel boutique ed è stata una bella sorpresa.Tutto era nuovo e il personale era molto gentile. L'ingresso nell'edificio e nella stanza con codice, ho ricevuto il codice dopo la conferma della mia prenotazione booking.com. Raccomando questa posizione per un weekend romantico nel centro storico di Bucarest!
