Hotel con colazione a El Nido

* Upon arrival, the air conditioning unit in our villa was not properly maintained. The filter was extremely dirty and clogged, causing excessive noise and poor performance. We had to clean it ourselves in order to use it. * There is little to no mobile signal in the area, and the WiFi connection has been unreliable due to ongoing maintenance, making it very difficult to stay connected. * There has been significant noise disturbance from construction work directly behind our villa, including the use of loud power tools throughout most of the day over several days. * We were only informed about a wedding taking place upon check-in. As a result, we were unable to use the sunbeds located outside our villa and had to relocate further away. Also due to the wedding taking place, the hotel had to make many soundchecks during the day before, playing very loud music which made it hard to relax on the beach. The wedding guests (80+ people) were allowed to use the villa next to us, as their designated toilet, which caused a lot of back and forth from the weddings guests right by our villa. This made it difficult to relax. * Additionally, we find that the restaurant prices are quite high compared to the quality of the food. For example, breakfast at 800 PHP did not meet basic expectations, as even simple items such as cheese and ham for bread were missing. I’m also sorry to say that the chicken adobo is tasteless, and on the menu it says the menu has been created by a Michelin chef. My mango daquiri tasted only of alcohol, so I had to ask for one with less alcohol. As a certified bartender, that is unacceptable. Even the French fries were not done properly as they needed more time in the oven (I think that’s what they used to make them at least, I would prefer if they were fried in oil though). However, very good mango shakes. * We would also like to mention that the access roads leading to the property are in very poor condition. The roads consist mainly of uneven gravel and are full of deep potholes, which make driving quite difficult and uncomfortable. In some areas, it is only possible to drive at around 10 km/h due to the condition of the road. We believe that the roads would greatly benefit from proper maintenance or being paved with cement, as this would significantly improve accessibility and the overall guest experience. We understand that some of these issues may be temporary or unforeseen, but taken together they have had a significant impact on our stay. However I would really like to highlight Hazel from the reception at the Nacpan Beach Villas. She was really sweet and thorough when we had any questions and went the extra mile for us. She deserves a raise. Please let her know we were really happy with her and really appreciated her.

My stay at El Nido Resorts Lagen Island was nothing short of extraordinary. The staff's warmth and genuine hospitality were exceptional; they always wore smiles and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. From assisting with ferry bookings to surprising me on my birthday with a beautifully decorated bed and a delightful cake, their thoughtfulness was truly heartwarming. Special thanks to Carell, Jojo, Harnie, John, and Arvin for their outstanding support. The resort's happy vibe upon arrival sets the tone, and you leave with a smile, longing for more. The complimentary tours, seamlessly integrated into the package, were made exceptional by the supportive guides, creating a private and well-timed experience. Opting for the overwater bungalow was a unique and enchanting experience, adding to the paradise that is El Nido Lagen Island. The buffet-style meals offered three times a day were a culinary delight. I wholeheartedly recommend El Nido Resorts Lagen Island for an unforgettable and highly recommended getaway. Thank you for an exceptional stay!

Pros: Our stay at Piece Lio was decent overall. The aesthetics matched the pictures online, and the studio was spacious with a lovely balcony view overlooking the rainforest. I really appreciated the Dyson hairdryer in the room, which made things much easier with long hair. The staff were friendly, polite, and kind, thank you guys! Cons: There were some small issues in the room, such as paint patches peeling off and small holes near the window shutters, which need attention, especially for a fairly new hotel. The biggest disappointment was discovering that there is no gym or spa, even though both are listed in the hotel’s description. This may not be a big deal for everyone, but it was for us since we had planned our trip around maintaining our fitness and relaxation routine. Instead, guests are given access to facilities within the same hospitality group. The gym and spa are located offsite, about 15 minutes away in town. While the hotel provides free shuttle service to and from that location, the drive feels much longer than expected due to island roads. The gym is small with basic equipment, and the spa, called Rituals Health and Spa, felt old and in need of renovation. Breakfast was average and not really to our liking. It was also inconvenient because most restaurants at Lio Beach do not open until around 10 a.m., leaving limited early morning options. We ended up eating at another nearby hotel restaurant, Molave, which was the only one open at that time. One of the staff members incorrectly told us there were other options available earlier, which suggests a need for better training and communication. Another issue was with a pre-booked van ride to one of the beaches. We had confirmed it via WhatsApp, but when we went downstairs, the staff had no record of it. To their credit, they handled the situation professionally and offered us a free one-way ride to make up for the inconvenience. Overall: The staff were warm and helpful, but management needs to improve communication, training, and most importantly, the accuracy of the facilities listed online. It feels misleading to advertise a gym and spa that are not actually part of the hotel. The lack of an in-house restaurant was also inconvenient, especially when you want a quick meal without leaving the property. If the hotel eventually adds its own spa and gym, it would be a much better experience. We did recommend it to friends for a short stay before their flight, but I would not suggest booking it if your priority is having fitness and spa facilities in one place. Overall, would return it they added the facilities! P.S. there’s cats! I’m not a cats person so it was a little uncomfortable to have them downstairs in the lobby area .

Sono grato per l'eccellente posizione e il servizio attento del personale. La vista dal ristorante sulla piscina è particolarmente spettacolare. L'oceano blu tropicale a colazione rende la giornata meravigliosa, e lo splendido tramonto a cena è così affascinante da commuovermi. Le camere della villa sono impeccabili e le opere d'arte sono meravigliose. Pur non essendo un edificio nuovo, la sua meticolosa manutenzione dimostra la sincerità dei proprietari e del personale. L'unica cosa che potrebbe essere migliorata è che il ristorante fa fatica a tenere il passo con la domanda quando è affollato, ma il personale sorridente e la splendida vista ti fanno dimenticare tutto. Il cibo è, ovviamente, eccellente. Mi piacerebbe sicuramente tornarci. El Nido è fantastico. Ho allegato foto del ristorante e della vista dalla nostra camera.

We stayed for a night at this hidden villa, and it felt like a true home away from home. The staff were incredibly kind and respectful, providing excellent service that made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The food was a highlight—absolutely delicious, with a healthy breakfast offered in the morning. You can even request a floating breakfast, which added a special touch to the experience. While the villa is tucked away down a short gravel road, the peaceful and private setting made it worth the effort. The villa is kid-friendly, but families should be cautious around the tiled swimming pool area. There’s no TV, so if you’re traveling with children, make sure their devices are charged. Fortunately, the Wi-Fi is strong and reliable. Overall, it was a lovely, relaxing stay with amazing food and warm hospitality. We highly recommend this villa for a cozy and memorable getaway.

Era la nostra prima volta a El Nido e siamo stati contenti di aver scelto Huni Lio. Si tratta di un bellissimo resort fronte mare situato a circa 15-20 minuti dalla vivace piazza del paese. La camera familiare era molto spaziosa, il personale cordiale e disponibile e la colazione a buffet non ha deluso le aspettative. Soprattutto, tutta la nostra famiglia ha apprezzato la posizione e l'atmosfera di questo posto, insieme alla serie di ristoranti e bar sulla spiaggia di Lio.

From the moment we left the port, our Matinloc experience already felt special. The boat ride was smooth, and the boatmen immediately assisted us with our luggage. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Ms. Jam from FO/Reservations, who gave us a friendly tour and clear briefing. Even before the trip, Reservations Manager Ms. Jeannette had already been very responsive to my emails, making the planning stress-free. Our VIP villa, perched on a cliff, offered an astounding view that raised the standard of our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the generous souvenirs and hygiene kits provided. The staff were consistently attentive and polite special thanks to FO Supervisor Ms. Jhona and their Korean General Manager for adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highlights of our stay included the refreshing fresh fruit shakes, fun water activities, the amazing walking path lined with century-old trees, and of course, the delicious food (their pizza was a standout). The WiFi was surprisingly fast..even powered by Starlink at the port. We also appreciated the thoughtful gesture of staff recommending where to get beers in town since they don’t sell alcohol on-site. Matinloc truly combines paradise-like views with genuine hospitality. Maraming salamat to the whole team for making this my best El Nido stay so far.. I would gladly return a hundred times over.

Il mio soggiorno qui è stato discreto, ma sicuramente non ci tornerei. La cosa più negativa è stata: quando si entra nell'edificio e si prende l'ascensore per raggiungere il piano della reception, l'ascensore puzza letteralmente di calzini sporchi, bagnati e puzzolenti. Sempre. È disgustoso, ed è la prima impressione che si ha dell'hotel stesso. La prima camera che mi hanno assegnato aveva un odore orribile, di muffa, e ho chiesto al personale di entrare e se potevano soggiornare in una camera con un odore così cattivo. Ho dormito in quella stanza una notte, e quando l'aria condizionata si spegne, gocciola nei condotti per un bel po'. Sono sicuro che ci sia un accumulo di muffa perché è piuttosto forte. Mi hanno spostato in una camera di categoria superiore, che avevano spruzzato con un deodorante - come se questo potesse convincermi che sarebbe stata diversa - e ha avuto un buon odore... per circa un'ora, e poi l'odore di muffa che avevo sentito nella prima camera si è sentito anche nella nuova. Per colazione, potrete scegliere tra 3 o 4 diversi tipi di menù. Le porzioni sono abbondanti, ma non morirete di fame. Le camere sarebbero fantastiche se non fosse per l'odore. Le camere sono spaziose, i letti comodi e vengono pulite ogni giorno.

Questo è un po 'di un posto speciale. L'hotel è aperto alla propria spiaggia privata. E' molto isolato da tutto ciò che può essere bello se non vuoi lasciare l'hotel. Volevamo andare in città qualche sera, e questo è un po' di sfida.Prima devi prendere un golf car (che corre solo fino alle 10 pm) e poi cambiare in un triciclo. Le tricicli non andranno direttamente all'hotel perché l'ultima parte della strada è troppo forte e ventosa. L'altra opzione è andare lungo la spiaggia per 20 minuti invece di usare la macchina da golf per l'ultima parte, che abbiamo fatto poche volte. Non è troppo pericoloso, ma ci sono cani scomparsi. Il cibo nel ristorante dell'hotel era italiano e tutto a posto, niente di sorprendente. Il servizio non era grande. Due donne sembravano sapere come gestire un hotel, ma il resto del personale era piuttosto inutile. Spesso sembravano irritati, anche quando abbiamo appena ordinato cibo. Una volta abbiamo chiesto di quella zipline che è letteralmente la porta accanto e non sapevano nulla di esso (prezzo, tempo, come arrivare lì). Ci hanno organizzato una visita, che era grande, ma hanno sbagliato la prenotazione in qualche modo, così il tour guide pensava che fossimo solo due persone invece di quattro, che portavano a meno cibo per pranzo, e poi ci hanno addirittura caricato di più per la visita. La nostra stanza era buona. Puli e senza bug. Sì, puoi sentire tutto, ma non ci importava. La stanza era fatta solo su richiesta. L'intera zona è bella, ma ci sono state alcune cose che ci hanno disturbato, quindi non tornerei.

Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno meraviglioso in questo hotel! Abbiamo ricevuto un caloroso benvenuto fin dal check-in e il personale è stato sempre cordiale, disponibile e professionale. La nostra camera era moderna, pulitissima e offriva una vista fantastica. Siamo rimasti particolarmente colpiti dalla colazione a buffet: un'ampia scelta, tutto fresco e preparato con cura.
