"Il mio soggiorno qui è stato discreto, ma sicuramente non ci tornerei. La cosa più negativa è stata: quando si entra nell'edificio e si prende l'ascensore per raggiungere il piano della reception, l'ascensore puzza letteralmente di calzini sporchi, bagnati e puzzolenti. Sempre. È disgustoso, ed è la prima impressione che si ha dell'hotel stesso. La prima camera che mi hanno assegnato aveva un odore orribile, di muffa, e ho chiesto al personale di entrare e se potevano soggiornare in una camera con un odore così cattivo. Ho dormito in quella stanza una notte, e quando l'aria condizionata si spegne, gocciola nei condotti per un bel po'. Sono sicuro che ci sia un accumulo di muffa perché è piuttosto forte. Mi hanno spostato in una camera di categoria superiore, che avevano spruzzato con un deodorante - come se questo potesse convincermi che sarebbe stata diversa - e ha avuto un buon odore... per circa un'ora, e poi l'odore di muffa che avevo sentito nella prima camera si è sentito anche nella nuova. Per colazione, potrete scegliere tra 3 o 4 diversi tipi di menù. Le porzioni sono abbondanti, ma non morirete di fame. Le camere sarebbero fantastiche se non fosse per l'odore. Le camere sono spaziose, i letti comodi e vengono pulite ogni giorno."

"L'hotel è a 15 minuti dal centro, quindi non c'è rumore stradale e molto tranquillo. Viviamo nell'hotel per due giorni, un giorno c'è stata una riparazione dalla mattina. C'è acqua calda con buona pressione, ma purtroppo con il bruciore di ferro. La stanza è pulita ma poco spazio. Il personale è il più amichevole possibile, ci aiuteranno. Quando siamo emigrati, ci sono stati aiutati con un trasferimento gratuito al centro al luogo di trasferimento al porto di Barton. Il colazione non piaceva molto, su richiesta, forniva un calderone per bere tè:)"

TTeeks Pros:
Our stay at Piece Lio was decent overall. The aesthetics matched the pictures online, and the studio was spacious with a lovely balcony view overlooking the rainforest. I really appreciated the Dyson hairdryer in the room, which made things much easier with long hair. The staff were friendly, polite, and kind, thank you guys!
Cons:
There were some small issues in the room, such as paint patches peeling off and small holes near the window shutters, which need attention, especially for a fairly new hotel.
The biggest disappointment was discovering that there is no gym or spa, even though both are listed in the hotel’s description. This may not be a big deal for everyone, but it was for us since we had planned our trip around maintaining our fitness and relaxation routine. Instead, guests are given access to facilities within the same hospitality group. The gym and spa are located offsite, about 15 minutes away in town. While the hotel provides free shuttle service to and from that location, the drive feels much longer than expected due to island roads. The gym is small with basic equipment, and the spa, called Rituals Health and Spa, felt old and in need of renovation.
Breakfast was average and not really to our liking. It was also inconvenient because most restaurants at Lio Beach do not open until around 10 a.m., leaving limited early morning options. We ended up eating at another nearby hotel restaurant, Molave, which was the only one open at that time. One of the staff members incorrectly told us there were other options available earlier, which suggests a need for better training and communication.
Another issue was with a pre-booked van ride to one of the beaches. We had confirmed it via WhatsApp, but when we went downstairs, the staff had no record of it. To their credit, they handled the situation professionally and offered us a free one-way ride to make up for the inconvenience.
Overall:
The staff were warm and helpful, but management needs to improve communication, training, and most importantly, the accuracy of the facilities listed online. It feels misleading to advertise a gym and spa that are not actually part of the hotel. The lack of an in-house restaurant was also inconvenient, especially when you want a quick meal without leaving the property.
If the hotel eventually adds its own spa and gym, it would be a much better experience. We did recommend it to friends for a short stay before their flight, but I would not suggest booking it if your priority is having fitness and spa facilities in one place. Overall, would return it they added the facilities!
P.S. there’s cats! I’m not a cats person so it was a little uncomfortable to have them downstairs in the lobby area .

Top-notch hospitality, warmth, and exceptional service!! I am long overdue in sharing my review, but I am excited to share my experience. My husband booked Seda Lio for my 50th birthday celebration. From the moment they picked us up from the airport in a golf buggy , which my boys loved, to the front desk, where we were greeted with drinks and a wonderful welcome, we knew we were in for a exceptional time. The service was unparalleled, led by Miggy, Devine, and their team. They upgraded us to a beautiful and spacious suite, closest to the beach. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and I must mention the delicious Taho and exceptional service provided by Jason and his team (forgot to mention the lady that served our table across the main door who was equally exceptional as well ). I received birthday cake greetings twice during breakfast, courtesy of Jason who made sure I blew my cake before we went for Island hopping, and again during dinner. Kuya Eddie was remarkable, making us feel safe during our island adventure and taking my sons snorkeling.And made my sons coconut palm hat. Seda Lio exceeded my expectations, making my 50th birthday celebration truly unforgettable. Thank you, and I cant wait to return to paradise.. 5 ⭐️

SSweetFilipina21Molte zanzare nella stanza. Non c'è molta varietà di cibo per il buffet della colazione. Il cappuccino espresso non è così buono. La vista sulla piscina della stanza è piccola. Penso che il colore del tema del leone divertente sia il nero scuro, quindi sembra tetro e piccolo, attrae gli insetti. Ma adoro l'accesso gratuito a Papaya Beach e i succhi freschi gratuiti e i fazzoletti di tote bag. Il personale di servizio è molto cordiale.

The staff were incredibly kind and respectful, providing excellent service that made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The food was a highlight—absolutely delicious, with a healthy breakfast offered in the morning. You can even request a floating breakfast, which added a special touch to the experience. While the villa is tucked away down a short gravel road, the peaceful and private setting made it worth the effort.
The villa is kid-friendly, but families should be cautious around the tiled swimming pool area. There’s no TV, so if you’re traveling with children, make sure their devices are charged. Fortunately, the Wi-Fi is strong and reliable. Overall, it was a lovely, relaxing stay with amazing food and warm hospitality. We highly recommend this villa for a cozy and memorable getaway.

NNikolai EfimenkoQuesto hotel è assolutamente fantastico. L'ho adorato. Anche se ero in una stanza condivisa da quattro persone, non mi ha dato alcun fastidio perché eravamo tutti fuori per escursioni o da qualche altra parte praticamente ogni giorno (dalla mattina alla sera). Il personale è cordiale e disponibile, le camere vengono pulite ogni giorno e le docce e i bagni sono in comune (ma ci sono anche alcuni bagni separati per le donne). Le colazioni erano deliziose e varie. Tornerei nelle Filippine solo per questo, perché ho mangiato bene qui solo tre volte: la prima a Cebu, la seconda in hotel per colazione e la terza in un ristorante italiano a El Nido. Tutto qui! Nella stanza condivisa, ti vengono forniti un asciugamano, un armadio con serratura e un letto grande (a differenza di altri hotel di questo tipo). Sono entusiasta!

AAngelicaFrom the moment we left the port, our Matinloc experience already felt special. The boat ride was smooth, and the boatmen immediately assisted us with our luggage. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Ms. Jam from FO/Reservations, who gave us a friendly tour and clear briefing. Even before the trip, Reservations Manager Ms. Jeannette had already been very responsive to my emails, making the planning stress-free.
Our VIP villa, perched on a cliff, offered an astounding view that raised the standard of our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the generous souvenirs and hygiene kits provided. The staff were consistently attentive and polite special thanks to FO Supervisor Ms. Jhona and their Korean General Manager for adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Highlights of our stay included the refreshing fresh fruit shakes, fun water activities, the amazing walking path lined with century-old trees, and of course, the delicious food (their pizza was a standout). The WiFi was surprisingly fast..even powered by Starlink at the port. We also appreciated the thoughtful gesture of staff recommending where to get beers in town since they don’t sell alcohol on-site.
Matinloc truly combines paradise-like views with genuine hospitality. Maraming salamat to the whole team for making this my best El Nido stay so far.. I would gladly return a hundred times over.

UUtente ospiteThis place was absolute paradise. The beach is stunning with beautiful sunsets just around the corner. There are loads of beach bars and restaurants around and the beach is clean with clear waters. Many tourists travel here for the day and stay elsewhere so this place was perfect for those evenings in a bar or on the porch and looking at the sea. This place is right on the sea and listening to the waves while falling asleep was relaxing. The amenities were excellent and a lovely warm shower to wash away the sand. The only issue with this place was the service and lack of cleaning/ restocking. Sand is an inevitability and we lacked the necessary tools to clean the room so it got quite sandy after a couple of days and the cups from the welcome drinks were there for three days. We don’t require or expect daily cleaning but we stayed 5 nights and the room was made up once (not including bedding and towels). That being said, this place is amazing. There are few better locations and the calmness made for a perfect little break for us. Will definitely stay here again! Also a little bonus for dog lovers- there is a gorgeous little beach dog that chills on the porch and gets excited every time you come and go! He was super friendly, loving us and loved by all the guests!

UUtente ospiteQuesto è un po 'di un posto speciale. L'hotel è aperto alla propria spiaggia privata. E' molto isolato da tutto ciò che può essere bello se non vuoi lasciare l'hotel. Volevamo andare in città qualche sera, e questo è un po' di sfida.Prima devi prendere un golf car (che corre solo fino alle 10 pm) e poi cambiare in un triciclo. Le tricicli non andranno direttamente all'hotel perché l'ultima parte della strada è troppo forte e ventosa. L'altra opzione è andare lungo la spiaggia per 20 minuti invece di usare la macchina da golf per l'ultima parte, che abbiamo fatto poche volte. Non è troppo pericoloso, ma ci sono cani scomparsi.
Il cibo nel ristorante dell'hotel era italiano e tutto a posto, niente di sorprendente. Il servizio non era grande. Due donne sembravano sapere come gestire un hotel, ma il resto del personale era piuttosto inutile. Spesso sembravano irritati, anche quando abbiamo appena ordinato cibo. Una volta abbiamo chiesto di quella zipline che è letteralmente la porta accanto e non sapevano nulla di esso (prezzo, tempo, come arrivare lì). Ci hanno organizzato una visita, che era grande, ma hanno sbagliato la prenotazione in qualche modo, così il tour guide pensava che fossimo solo due persone invece di quattro, che portavano a meno cibo per pranzo, e poi ci hanno addirittura caricato di più per la visita.
La nostra stanza era buona. Puli e senza bug. Sì, puoi sentire tutto, ma non ci importava. La stanza era fatta solo su richiesta.
L'intera zona è bella, ma ci sono state alcune cose che ci hanno disturbato, quindi non tornerei.

Location is the hotel's best feature, being located walking distance from the town center where the restaurants, cafes and bars were.
Breakfast was okay, with a variety of warm dishes in addition to an egg station.
The room was nicely decorated, however it did not feel clean. A big cockroach was discovered on the first evening in the room and another one was left dead in the hallway for a very long time. The bed sheets had stains from before and these were not changed at the next cleaning despite being visibly dirty. Most of the towels provided were old and had colored stains and did not feel clean to use. The shower area also seemed to be mouldy, with watermarks like the surfaces had not been cleaned from before we arrived.
