UUtente ospiteIl prezzo è economico, perché parte molto tardi la sera fino alla mattina successiva, quindi ho scelto un popolare economico. Il piccolo cortile è ben gestito. La nostra camera familiare ha una piccola sala da pranzo, cucina e balcone, e tutti gli apparecchi elettrici nella cucina sono completi, ma non ha alcuna possibilità di usarlo.
La posizione del ristorante è molto aperta.
Vedendo che altri camere hanno turisti europei e americani che vivono a lungo, c'è una piccola piazza fuori dalla stanza, leggendo libri al mattino, è ancora molto comodo.
Le carenze sono anche. Il pendio dell'hotel nel cortile è molto ricco. Devo parcheggiare sotto e mettere i bagagli. Un po'inconveniente. Inoltre, il colazione è un po' costoso. Non vogliamo scontare, abbiamo scelto di mangiare all'hotel. Il sapore è buono, il prezzo non è alto

UUtente ospiteThe Trees, Kandy was our favourite stay in Sri Lanka. The rooms are so comfortable and clean. We were welcomed by staff with tea and beautiful lotus flowers. The pool provides fantastic view of Kandy. It’s a shame that our stay coincided with the crowds for the sacred exposition of the tooth relic of Lord Buddha, otherwise we would have enjoyed our stay more. There were a few times staff did forget our orders at breakfast and at the bar, but other than than, thoroughly enjoyed the stay!

GGOLDSAINTA hotel with a magnificent view. It is really hard to find such a view. Especially the view from the top bar floor is extraordinary. The rooms could be cleaned more meticulously. It is not dirty but it could be cleaned more meticulously. The breakfast was average, the dinner menu was not very extensive, at least in the bar section. The welcome in the lobby was respectful and smiling. We were offered hot towels and fruit juice as soon as we arrived. The hotel is on the slope of a hill but I think the lack of a link bus service to the city center is a shortcoming.

UUtente ospiteVery pretty and nice resort with mountain view. Friendly staffs and super super nice breakfast.
However, it is too fat away from Kandy city center, you have to pay 1500+ rp for each ride, and most tuk tuk drivers don't prefer to go to this place. The google map shows wrong way and the team knew about this, but informed us just on the day of arrival, making this journey even harder.

KKuluniI booked a night for my mum's birthday and the staff have welcomed her wonderfully, wishing her a happy birthday and organising a birthday cake too. The room has been really clean and the location has been perfect for a relaxing get away.

The standout feature of The Coffee Bungalow is undoubtedly its staff, particularly Adrian, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Everyone we encountered was attentive and genuinely warm, making us feel well cared for. The food was another highlight—delicious and thoughtfully prepared. A particularly nice touch was when they packed us a complimentary to-go lunch for our train journey out of Kandy, which was a pleasant and unexpected gesture.
The Bad
The lack of air conditioning was a notable downside, especially given Kandy’s humidity. While the property has a charming colonial feel, the absence of a solid door between the bedroom and bathroom was an odd design choice. Although the toilet and shower do have louvered doors, privacy is somewhat compromised. Another issue was the challenging entry system—we found ourselves locked out one night, which was frustrating and inconvenient.
The Ugly
Unfortunately, the biggest drawback was the ant problem. While some level of bugs is to be expected in a tropical setting, the sheer number of ants, particularly in the bathroom but also in the bedroom, was hard to ignore. It definitely impacted our overall comfort.
Overall, The Coffee Bungalow has a lot of charm and some truly wonderful hospitality, but there are a few quirks and inconveniences that might not suit every traveler. If you’re prepared for a bit of rustic charm and can handle the lack of AC and privacy, the warm service and great food may make up for the downsides.

Views from balcony in suite room also fabulous.
Drinks and service at the rooftop bar were great. Our waiter Nirmal was very friendly with impeccable service.
Our one complaint is that we had no wifi connection whatsoever in our room or balcony. Asked for this to be resolved four times but to no avail.

UUtente ospiteI proprietari e i dipendenti di questo hotel sono così, così bello.
Purtroppo il loro hotel non è. Mi sento quasi catturato, come molte delle foto hanno sottolineato l'atmosfera del bar e della piscina. Non è stato il caso - la piscina era una dimensione decente ma nell'ombra e non ho visto nessuno in essa. Le colpi di balneazione che ho molto sospettato non sono forse una vera fonte.
Lo stesso vale per il bar, che è enorme e a cui partecipano molti giovani e noiosi gentiluomini, quando entrambi ho fatto il salto (una volta per cena) ero l'unico patrono. Ancora nessuna atmosfera di festa o persino persone - che è vergognoso come è un grande luogo.
Fortunatamente, la porta accanto era un altro luogo per alcuni cocktail e musica decente che salvavano un po' la stanchezza.
La camera da letto era una dimensione decente con un piccolo frigo (ma non ha funzionato), la camera da letto era piccola, si sentiva sporca, senza sapone a mano o sapone per la doccia (a parte gli occupanti precedenti - e questo era grosso).
La pressione era scarsa, rendendo difficile la doccia e c'era un panno sul pavimento da qualche danno - non pulito.
Il letto era enorme e confortevole con aria condizionata e un fan dormiva bene.
Infine, e ripeto, il personale era bellissimo. Molto ospite e la posizione è a circa dieci minuti a piedi dal Sacro Tesoro e il Lago Kandy. Così grande posizione.
Vorrei restare ancora lì - no. Vorrei salutare i proprietari e la porta accanto per un cocktail - forse!
