Hotel con colazione a Siem Reap

Questo ostello è davvero, davvero, davvero fantastico! Non ho mai visto un dormitorio così grande e spazioso! I letti a castello superiori hanno dei gradini! Sì, dei gradini, non una scaletta! È davvero ottimo! Anche il bagno è abbastanza spazioso. Al piano di sotto c'è il ristorante e il bar della piscina, il menu è piuttosto vario, con molte opzioni di cibo. Il personale è eccezionale, tutti molto gentili. Sono arrivato a mezzogiorno, ben prima delle due, e mi hanno fatto il check-in immediatamente. Un'altra volta, avevo prenotato un'attività altrove e l'autista non è venuto a prendermi; non riuscivo a chiamare e avevo difficoltà con la lingua, così ho chiesto alla reception di chiamare l'agenzia di viaggi per me e mi hanno aiutato con grande disponibilità! Il mio inglese non è ottimo e ho dovuto usare Google Translate per aiutarmi a comunicare, ma il personale non è mai stato impaziente. La posizione è ottima, proprio di fronte c'è un supermercato, non un minimarket, ma un vero supermercato, anche se non molto grande. Ha frutta, insalate, pane, latte e tutti i beni di prima necessità; è aperto dalle 6:00 alle 23:00. Accanto al supermercato c'è una caffetteria che accetta Alipay! Ci sono tantissimi ristoranti nei dintorni, non riuscirete a provarli tutti, e non è lontano dalla via dei bar e dal fiume. Accanto c'è una stazione di servizio, molto comoda se noleggiate uno scooter. Di fronte c'è una lavanderia (1 dollaro per 1 kg) e un negozio per il noleggio di scooter. Qui non ci sono solo dormitori, ma anche molte camere che sembrano normali camere d'albergo. È davvero un ottimo posto, tornerò a soggiornarci!

È la prima volta che scrivo una recensione negativa di un hotel. I pregi sono il servizio del personale della hall, il delizioso drink di benvenuto, gli asciugamani e l'acqua ghiacciati ogni giorno al mio ritorno in hotel, e gli spettacoli di danza delle fate due sere a settimana. Gli svantaggi sono la scarsa qualità dell'hardware: il sedile del WC storto, il pulsante di scarico che non si riavvolge facilmente, il pannello elettrico di scarsa qualità, l'interruttore della doccia difficile da azionare... Lo svantaggio maggiore è la presenza di moltissime zanzare. Ne abbiamo uccise più di una dozzina durante il nostro soggiorno, ma ce ne sono ancora alcune. Sono rimasto per alcune notti e non ho dormito bene. Le braccia e il viso del bambino erano tutti coperti di protuberanze. Ho trovato la reception e mi hanno dato solo uno zanzariera elettrica, ma non ha funzionato. Le zanzare volavano proprio accanto allo zanzariera elettrica.

We were welcomed with complimentary juice and snacks upon arriving at the hotel. They had a scent reminiscent of Cambodia and were delicious. The room was cozy and comfortable. The hotel offered a variety of tours, which could be booked at the front desk by the day before, making it very convenient. We joined two tours arranged by the hotel, and both were fantastic. The price was also reasonable. Overall, we were very satisfied with both the services and the cost.

Questo hotel ci è stato consigliato da un amico straniero. Abbiamo scelto quasi la camera più grande disponibile. L'aria condizionata funzionava bene e l'ambiente era accettabile, ma purtroppo l'acqua era solo tiepida. Non so se fosse un problema solo della nostra camera. Tuttavia, il trasferimento dall'aeroporto e il tour in tuk-tuk ad Angkor Wat che la reception ha organizzato per noi (a nostre spese) sono stati molto piacevoli.

Прекрасный отель, душевный персонал, там себя чувствуешь почетным гостем, внимательный , заботливый персонал, всегда готов помочь с любым вопросом, номера чистые аккуратные , ежедневная уборка, в номере есть все необходимое , прекрасные завтраки и ребята в кафе очень внимательные и обходительные , мы прекрасно провели там время, и расположение очень удобное , по пути в храмы 👌

Situato nel centro di Siem Reap, l'ostello Funky Village è all'interno di molte attrazioni in questa parte della Cambogia. È meglio ottenere un taxi dall'aeroporto per raggiungere questo destinazione, poiché i bus meno costosi non vi porterà direttamente lì & con la difficoltà di poi ottenere un tuktuk per il resto del viaggio, si potrebbe anche buttare fuori un po' di più per il per sentirsi più rilassato quando arrivate. Lavori divertenti in questo ostello divertente situato sulla strada Funky. Una scelta molto, molto economica, ma riceverai esattamente quello che hai pagato per ”no più”.

This hotel, particularly the service, has made me in love with Siem Reap. Mr Phea, Ms. Thida and Ms. Annie truly deserve my recommendation for their great hospitality, genuine care, and friendliness. I was first greeted my Mr Phea at the airport for the pick-up by TukTuk. It was a complimentary by the hotel. He was welcoming and so was Ms Thida when I arrived at the hotel. Not only with her warm smiles, I was also welcomed with a cold towel and a refreshing lemomgrass drink. We chatted like as if we had already known each other! As the room was already available on my arrival , I was granted early check-in to my room. Thank you, Ms Thida! I love my room. It was spacious and cosy. I wished the mini bar was complimentary but no biggie as there's a small grocery store just across the road where you can buy instant noodles, snacks, drinks and toiletries etc I spent the rest of my day out on a TukTuk for sightseeing and lunch. Mr Phea was my loyal TukTuk driver throughout my stay in Anjali. He was also like a tour guide and a friend to me. He brought me to an area where the Muslim community lives. There's a mosque and plenty of Halal food/restaurants. I truly appreciate Mr Phea doing this for me. Because of this, I had the opportunity to devour the delicious Cambodian dishes of Beef Lok Lak, Amok Fish, etc, without having to worry if it was pork-free and safe for me to eat. He brought me for a drive along the paddy fields and to watch the sunset. When I returned to the hotel, I was greeted by Ms Annie and Mr Panha. They were friendly too! Breakfast was alright to me. My first morning, I had my breakfast prepared and packed in a tiffin carrier as I left at 4am to go for the Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour. They packed hard boiled eggs, croissants, bananas, and little baguettes with jam. Only one morning I went to the restaurant for my breakfast and I chose Waffles with fresh fruits. There's a buffet of bakeries (bread, pastries, cakes), fresh fruit juices, cereals, and salad. I would totally recommend that the hotel look into an airtight container for the cereals as the ones I ate were all kinda soft and stale. The salad too should be covered because it was 'covered' with fruit flies and flies feasting on it. My two other breakfasts were spent in my room as requested. One of it was exceptionally good. I requested for scrambled eggs with cheese and mushrooms and I got just that. It was creamy and fluffy! I requested for smoked salmon at the side but was given smoked salmon bagel with rocket leaves and The morning on my check-out day was sort of disgusting. The scrambled eggs were dry and two of out the croissants were cold. The watermelon Juice was good though. It could have been perfect if a glass of ice was served alongside with it.

4-Star Luxury Hotel for the Backpacker Price of $40/night! The first thing you notice about Sokha Palace Siem Reap Hotel is just how pretty it is! The architect, painters, decorators and maintenance staff did a fabulous job (see my photos). The second thing you notice is how delicious the huge buffet is – including free espresso drinks. Third, you notice that the rooms are not only nice but that everything works well (aircon, hot water showers, refrigerator, wifi, and cable TV with news channels from a half dozen countries like CNN). Fourth, it is in a quiet location less than 15 minutes from Angkor Wat, and only a $2 tuktuk ride to Pub Street or anywhere else in Siem Reap. But then you notice the best part: the outstanding hotel staff. For example, the Front Desk Manager Phyrun personally helped me when I could not make my room keycard work, and even brought me a bucket of ice. Originally I booked five nights during Chinese New Year with Trip.com discounts for $39/night, but he gave me a free upgrade from a garden view double with king bed to a pool view room. I liked it so much I wanted to extend, but the best I could find online was $41/night garden view, $51 for pool view. I asked Phyrun if I could get the upgrade again if I bought the $41 online, and he said no – but he smiled and said he would give it to me for $40/night the Khmer rate instead (normally $50 for barangs like me)! The restaurant had other examples of great staff. Some days the restaurant is overflowing with several hundred guests, other days only a few dozen. Yet they maintain the quality and personal touch from the egg and soup station, to the bountiful buffet, to the waiters and waitresses that clear the tables. The Restaurant Manager Somedy and his Assistant Manager Chhaiya keep it all flowing smoothly. Even on the busiest day, waitress Chanthla took the time to show my Khmer friend’s elderly stepmom the way they fold the napkins. Today the espresso machine was not working for a while, so Chhaiya offered to have a waiter drive over to the sister hotel to bring me lattes. I repeatedly declined, but was very impressed by the excellent customer service attitude. So the real beauty of this French chateau style hotel is its employees, including very efficient housekeeping and grounds staff. I checked out the “5-Star” Sokha Resort on the other side of its convention center, but did not like it half as much (especially for 70% more per night). Normally I would be afraid to write a review of a hotel that I like so much, but with 456 rooms I don’t have to worry about it being full. Do yourself a favor and stay here when in Siem Reap.

The room was exactly as show on the photos; spacious clean and bright. I could order breakfast to my room which was great. The first day breakfast was 15 minutes late, but luckily I wasn’t heading for the airport or anything. At the time of my stay there were offering 2 choices for breakfast, which were both delicious. The room came fully stocked with snacks as well as al pullover and Jon alcoholic drinks for cheap. Everything was around a dollar to a dollar twenty five. There is no elevator at this hotel. I was on the third floor and only had a carry-on luggage. Staff were pleasant and answered questions patiently.
