BBitsbyaureliaLoving the facilities and varieties of free activities provided. We literally just stay in the hotel to join as much activities as we can. The kids had lots of fun at kids club, we parents joined latte art class, aerial yoga. Even grandparents enjoyed the stay, my mum & I managed to join the flower arranging class, mums finally got to have fun too 🥰

Di recente ho trascorso un soggiorno delizioso all'Hotel Tentrem di Semarang e non posso che consigliarlo vivamente. Fin dal nostro arrivo, il personale ci ha fatto sentire i benvenuti e la sua attenzione ha davvero arricchito la nostra esperienza. La pulizia delle camere e dei bagni era impeccabile, il che è sempre una priorità assoluta per me quando viaggio. I servizi dell'hotel, inclusa la palestra, erano eccellenti e ci fornivano tutto il necessario per un soggiorno confortevole. Uno dei punti forti per me è stata la deliziosa colazione. La varietà era fantastica e la qualità del cibo eccezionale. Voglio anche fare un ringraziamento speciale a Ibuk Elfi per la sua calorosa ospitalità durante la colazione. Il suo atteggiamento allegro ha reso le nostre mattine ancora più piacevoli. Da amante del caffè, sono rimasto particolarmente colpito dalle capacità di Mas Arafi, il barista. Ho apprezzato moltissimo il cappuccino, il mocaccino e il caffellatte che ha preparato; ogni tazza era una vera delizia. La sua conoscenza del caffè traspare davvero in ogni sorso. Nel complesso, la mia esperienza all'Hotel Tentrem è stata meravigliosa e non vedo l'ora di tornarci ogni anno. Grazie a tutto il team per aver reso il nostro soggiorno così speciale. SSharon PSKhas Hotel is located nearby city centre. I walked out from the hotel to the left I can go to Queen City Mall and to the right I can walk to Pollux Mall Paragon Semarang. Outside of the hotel, there are some local eateries during day time and night time. There's also a pharmacy called Apotek on the right after you walk out from hotel main entrance. There's a IndoMart opposite and the price was reasonable. Hence, very convenient. The cleanliness of hotel needs to be improved. There are some areas near clothing hanging area and bed side table quite dusty. I have to wipe it with my wet tissue. There were 2 lamps in the room one on the table in front of TV and one on the bedside table both were fitted onto the table, hence it made the space of table being blocked. The welcome drink served in a small shot glass and there was no water dispenser for hotel guest. The bathroom design was not good as after taking shower the water will flow out to the sink and toilet bowl area as the glass divider was too small to block the water from spilling out to the dry area. The shower head was fitted on top to the ceiling hence a bit hard to wash our body thoroughly. The water come down from our head directly. There was no way to adjust shower head as it was fixed onto the ceiling. Our room 318 was next to 3 Airconf compresser. Hence if other hotel guests on their Aircond, we can hear the noise so loud at night. The hotel offered a gift voucher for Grab app user but the front desk staff did not inform us. Only on our last night stay, we saw the gift voucher appeared in hotel in house TV screen outside of lobby lift. But too bad, I can no longer utilise the 10,000rp discount voucher although I being taking Grab for the past 4 days in Semarang. But hotel housekeeper was very helpful and same goes to the concierge also very friendly and helpful.

__evas_Super super great location, close to Lawang Sewu, a mall, and a bus station. A cathedral and an army museum are within walking distance (tho you can skip the museuk tbh). Staffs are great, very polite, helpful, and quick to offer solutions. Quite loyal with the food and they provide water in the corridors. With that price, ofc there will be some setbacks, amenities are minimal, no fridge, no hair dryer (you can ask them directly), but they do provide water bottle everyday. Overall a great service and a pleasant stay

GGaryDLarge room and bathroom. Kettle and mini fridge provided. Water dispensers on every floor. Plenty of storage. Good aircon and decent WiFi. Rooms are similar to an Ibis design. Good location, close to shopping malls and about a 30 minute walk to the old town. Wonderful staff, very kind and helpful. Nice pool area. It's on a main road so it was noisy at times.

From the moment I arrived, the experience was already disappointing. I asked the staff for a prayer mat and they told me the hotel had them available, but no one ever came back to provide one. If a hotel confirms that something is available, it should be delivered to the guest properly. Small things like this reflect the level of professionalism and attention to guests.
Another issue was during sahur or the early breakfast. I came down to level 5 around 3.30 am and many items were already almost finished, including the rice. I informed the service staff that the rice had run out and needed to be refilled, but nothing was done. Eventually I just took other items such as nasi goreng and whatever was left. The breakfast selection itself was also very basic with very limited variation.
Considering that it is the Ramadan month, I believe the hotel should prepare much better for sahur service. Guests wake up very early specifically for this meal, so food availability and proper staffing are important. During that time I only saw one staff member handling everything, which made the situation even more difficult.
The location of the hotel is actually quite good. It is within walking distance of many trendy cafes and there are plenty of street food options around that stay open late into the night. For guests who enjoy exploring the food scene or hanging out in nearby cafes, the area is convenient.
The front desk service was acceptable, but overall the hospitality experience felt quite standard. Personally, it did not reflect the warm and attentive hospitality that people usually associate with Java.
I did not take any photos during my stay because honestly my mood was not very good after experiencing these issues.
I hope the hotel management can take this feedback seriously and improve the quality of service, especially during Ramadan when guest needs are quite specific. Thank you.
