"L'hotel Oddfellows è stato facile da accedere, ma avrebbe aiutato a avere l'indirizzo esatto dell'appartamento in anticipo, così potremmo parcheggiare più facilmente.
L'appartamento 5 era in alto e molto spazioso. Il soggiorno/cucina/cina era ben strutturato e il tè e il caffè disponibile erano molto benvenuti. Camere e bagni erano grandi, confortevoli e puliti (ma potevano essere fatti con qualche gancio per asciugamani o cappotti). C'è anche una lavanderia. Decof è chicco e la posizione è grande - proprio dalle strade principali. Favoloso luogo per soggiornare."

MMikethetravellingscouserThe Mill Hotel & Spa is in an ideal location, just 5 minutes walk from Chester train station and the centre of Chester itself. So, what is a stay in this hotel like?
I stayed in the Business Class Double room with a view of the canal. The room is a fair size, with the king size bed being very comfortable and clean. A big drawback for the room, however, is the lack of air conditioning facilities available. I stayed at the end of July, and whilst the outside wasn’t hot, the room itself was stuffy and opening the window didn’t really help too much. I can’t imagine what it would be like staying here in during a heatwave, which is becoming more common!
The room also comes with decent tea and coffee making facilities, along with a desk for working. The bathroom is a good size, but it could do with a bit of cleaning. There are two shower nozzles - the smaller standard nozzle was fine but the rainfall shower nozzle was extremely dirty. It looks like it hasn’t been used in a while - and I’d recommend not using that particular shower if you stay here. The extractor fan vent is also very dusty and obviously hasn’t been cleaned in a while!
Over to the spa facilities - they are nothing short of exceptional. This is the real draw when staying here, with the swimming pool and sauna being to an excellent standard. Use of the swimming pool and gym is free to all guests whilst staying here, so make good use of the facilities!
I opted for the inclusion of breakfast during my stay, and I’d say it was ok rather than great. The amount of food available isn’t huge, though the likes of the croissants and cooked breakfast are to a good standard.
As the hotel is in need of an update - it firmly feels like it’s stuck in the mid noughties - the hotel does excel in the standard of service provided to its customers. Whether that be from the cleaners, the reception staff or the waiting staff, everyone is smiling and friendly. It makes all the difference! Would I stay here again? Yes, I would. I hope they do update the rooms soon enough - they really do need air conditioning! And I also hope the bathrooms were thoroughly cleaned a little more. But everything else was to a good standard and for the price paid (£90 for two people with breakfast and spa facilities included), you can’t find much better than that!

UUtente ospiteLa prima visita a Chester e ha preso la possibilità di decidere dove stare. Le camere erano molto belle e rilassanti con la camera da bagno sul lato piccolo ma perfettamente funzionale. Il personale è sorprendente e ognuno di loro è stato molto amichevole e benvenuto. Abbiamo mangiato all'hotel la prima notte e il cibo era buono. Sicuramente consigliere questo hotel e sperare di visitare di nuovo l'anno prossimo.

UUtente ospiteThe staffs are so friendly and helpful. The local is not too far from city centre. We walked to the city centre less than5mins, walk to city wall from the hotel about 15mins but if you walk faster it takes 7-8mins. The breakfast is great.

JJema MayburyStayed here last night, everything was perfect. Our room was lovely and clean and had everything we needed for one night. The hotel is close to the city so just an uber ride away. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we opted for the breakfast the next day which was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

DDrVicThe location of this hotel is great, very close to Chester and all the attractions around.
In terms of the room, our room was very spacious and the bed was very big. However it was two singles joined together, so a gap between the two.
This is probably where the good bits end. The size of the room and bathroom really was a positive though, especially travelling with a baby.
We had to pay £5 to hire a travel cot and in the end we didn’t use it. The cot mattress appears to have never been replace and was very thin and lumpy, making it redundant. The wooden slates at the bottom of the crib could be felt very dominantly through what was left of the mattress, meaning our baby was waking up uncomfortable and we had to transfer him to the bed.
In terms of things that could do with improvement:
Cleanliness
The room floor was very dirty and could have benefited from an additional vacuum. Initially I put this down to arriving on New Year’s Day and then having a lot of people check out that day, but the whole hotel appeared a little bit grubby on closer inspection.
The spa pool was exceptionally dirty. The floor coming out of the changing room covered in hair and general dirt. The showers looked like they hadn’t had a good scrub in months, with yellow build up all over the floor and walls. Not what you expect from a spa! To top it off after swimming I have contracted the Norovirus.
Service
Our first encounter with the reception staff was great the lady very welcoming and friendly. We met the cleaner as well who was also lovely. The rest of the staff we encountered were not so great. Either rude or disinterested, I get that it might not be your dream job but service with a smile goes a long way.
Facilities
The hot water takes a while to come through at busier times, this is signposted in the room. However, the water does not get very water at all. It does come through at a pleasant temperature, but not great if you like a bath or shower on the warmer side.
There are three times a day when you can go swimming with children. It would be great if these times were restricted to children/families only, as there were quite a few adults sitting around the poolside and in the hot tub.
Breakfast was ok, but a lot of the time left uncovered.
Overall not a great stay and would be unlikely to stay again.

UUtente ospiteL'hotel è in una posizione molto vicina ai bar e ristoranti 👌 facile da trovare .La stanza era molto piccola e non aveva un asciugacapelli, abbiamo chiesto una a ricezione, hanno detto che potrebbero portarci asciugacapelli ma mai! L'isolamento nelle stanze è molto cattivo, potrebbe essere qui tutti da stanze accanto a noi .

UUtente ospiteBuon hotel, bel colazione con una varietà di articoli. Molto buon succhi, caffè e tè selezione Grande piscina e sauna. Shame Aircon non funziona nelle camere. Anche con il riscaldamento nelle stanze si è spenta, abbiamo dovuto lasciare la finestra aperta la notte, perché era troppo caldo.

UUtente ospiteCome grande fan delle Premier Inns, mi sentivo che questo non era al loro standard normale. Le letti erano sempre molto comodi, ma il letto non era adeguato, leggermente mal adattato. Anche la stanza era fredda e l'aria condizionata non funzionava. La TV non ha funzionato neanche nella nostra stanza, la connessione aerea è stata citata aa la ragione sullo schermo.
In un po' meno e più personale, mi piace l'opzione di uova scrambled al mattino, ma solo uova fritte sono state offerte al colazione.

The fold out beds for kids are uncomfortable (worse than the ones at travel lodge or premmier inn).
Don't bother with breakfast! Kept running out of things and didn't always replace them. Bacon inedible, sausages cheap, no nlack pudding even though it's on the menu and small portions.
I would stay again but wouldn't add breakfast
