UUtente ospiteHotel room is very clean and spacious. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful. As our flight is in the evening, the hotel agreed to our request for late checkout. After checkout, the Reception staff offered to seat us at their restaurant when they noticed we were having some snacks. Hotel location is excellent, withe the Zhujiang Food Street within walking distance. There are also food outlet where you can have breakfast. We will book this hotel during our next visit.

SSurewin27We chose this hotel primarily for its proximity to the Shantou railway station. The night prior, we stayed at a nearby Hampton but had a disappointing experience, so this was our first stay with a local Chinese chain brand.
Check-in was smooth and efficient, although no English was spoken at the front desk. We had requested a higher-floor, quieter room via WeChat in advance and were initially assigned Room 602. Upon entering, the room appeared clean and well-maintained.
However, we encountered an unusual and inconvenient issue with the Wi-Fi. Guests are instructed to turn on the TV to access the Wi-Fi password, but we discovered that the TV must remain on in order for the Wi-Fi to function. This was confirmed by multiple staff members, including what appeared to be a front desk supervisor. This setup was quite disruptive, as the TV screen is bright and cannot be dimmed, and the work desk is positioned directly in front of it.
To their credit, Ms. Lin—responded promptly and offered to move us to another room (also 602, but with a different layout). The new layout was more practical, with the desk positioned at a 90-degree angle from the TV, which helped mitigate the issue somewhat.
That said, the second room had its own drawback: there was a noticeable gap in the window, which allowed in road noise. Since we stayed over the weekend, traffic noise and honking were quite noticeable at night. In addition, we heard neighbors chatting and laughing past midnight.
Lotion could be a nice addition too. A small humidifier with scented oil definitely gave a zen touch.
Aside from these two issues (Wi-Fi dependency on the TV and sound insulation), the overall stay was comfortable. As a gesture of goodwill, the hotel provided complimentary breakfast. While we are not typically breakfast eaters, we did try the noodle station. The offerings were entirely Chinese-style. One suggestion would be to label the protein options more clearly (in Chinese or English), as we observed multiple guests asking staff about them—one of which turned out to be pig’s heart.
Overall, this was a good introduction to a Chinese domestic hotel brand. I learned that they got a few locations in Europe. While there are areas for improvement, particularly in technology setup and soundproofing, the service recovery effort and general room quality made for a satisfactory stay.

I booked this hotel primarily for its fantastic location near the food scene. It is incredibly convenient to get to **Zhujiang Food Street**: just turn left from the hotel’s main entrance, walk straight for about 5 minutes until you reach the traffic light, turn left, and you are right there!
🛎️ Service
The customer service here is exceptional. Both the front desk and the housekeeping teams were incredibly friendly and welcoming—a huge thank you to everyone! Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

That said, when comparing the specific amenities—particularly the washing machine and dryer facilities—with the **Mehood Lestie Flagship Hotel (Shantou MixC)**, I still prefer the MixC location.

I am highly satisfied with the customer service standards across the Mehood Lestie brand. Their staff truly makes a difference and always ensures we feel welcome. After two separate stays with the Mehood Lestie group, they will definitely be our top choice whenever we visit China in the future.
🥢 Bonus Food Recommendation!
Don't miss the shop right next door to the hotel selling rice noodle rolls (*zhu chang fen*) and *har gao* (shrimp dumplings). We ended up eating there for three consecutive days! The *har gao*, in particular, was exceptional—chewy, soft, and surprisingly juicy. Unlike the drier, prawn-only versions you usually get, these were incredibly moist and packed with flavor. Highly recommended!

UUtente ospiteThe hotel is wonderful, the service, the interiors, and literally everything. BUT. There are a few annoying little things: a corporate video with a song constantly plays in the elevator and lobby, and after several uses a day, it literally gets stuck in my head. It irritates me that someone is recording songs in my head without my knowledge. The light controls in the room are very inconvenient - they are very bright and turn on by themselves with the slightest movement. The bright light at night disrupts my sleep, and it literally irritates and infuriates me when it is constantly on. I am also irritated by the TV, which turns on every time I enter the room. I don't like any unnecessary details that disrupt my focus and distract me. I have to spend an extra action to find the remote and turn it off. Also, during cleaning, the staff throws away my disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste every day. This is yet another unnecessary action that I have to do to brush my teeth - open a new package, open a tube of toothpaste, and do this every day.

UUtente ospiteI had a wonderful stay at Yuhouse High Altitude Sea View Loft Apartment (Shantou High-Speed Railway Station Branch) with my family. We booked a total of six rooms, and all of them were clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The facilities were excellent, and the breathtaking sea view made our stay even more enjoyable.
Even though we never met the staff in person, their service was still excellent. They responded quickly to our inquiries via WeChat, which made the check-in process and overall stay smooth and convenient.
The only slight drawback was the location, which was average in terms of accessibility. However, this did not significantly affect our overall experience.
Overall, we truly enjoyed our trip as a family and would highly recommend this place for those looking for a clean, well-equipped, and comfortable stay with a beautiful view!

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and professional welcome from the front desk team. Every staff member I encountered – from reception to housekeeping – went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their friendliness, efficiency, and genuine hospitality really made me feel valued as a guest. They also help to receive my taobao delivery of parcels. Well down for all staff.
The hotel’s room & lobby cleanliness is well-maintained. My room felt fresh, tidy, and inviting, with thoughtful touches that showed the care and attention put into daily upkeep. The housekeeping team did an amazing job, and I truly appreciated their promptness and consistency throughout my stay.
The location is also a major highlight – conveniently situated near key attractions located in shantou old city , dining options, yet peaceful enough for a restful night’s sleep. It made exploring the area effortless, and I could easily return to the hotel for a quick rest before heading out again.
The amenities exceeded my expectations. The facilities were modern, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed to cater to both leisure and big group of families. From the helpful lounge areas to the private VIP big room facilities, and in-room conveniences, everything was in place to make my stay both enjoyable and productive.
Overall, my experience here was nothing short of excellent. It’s rare to find a place that delivers consistently on all fronts – cleanliness, service, location, and amenities – but this hotel truly does. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for their dedication and kindness. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, and I look forward to returning in the future.

UUtente ospiteAmazing service by the very friendly staff. DIY workshop for traditional ChaoShan “dumpling” 红桃粿 was an amazing experience as well. The room was tidy and clean, with the cleaning staff taking extra good care of us. The only bad thing I can complain about is the TV’s inability to support Airplay, but nonetheless the room and hotel in general was superb.
Additionally the location of the hotel is great, quiet at night as it is close to a residential area, but only 200-300 meters from restaurants and whatnot.
Would totally recommend families and couples to stay here. Anyways thanks to the staff.

La camera era grande ai standard che avevamo abituato a ovest, mentre il letto era semplicemente giusto e molto comodo. Il costo del nostro soggiorno di 2 notti era incredibilmente economico con colazione da qualsiasi standard, anche se Chaoyang non è una città di prima linea. Il servizio che abbiamo ricevuto è stato secondo a nessuno, soprattutto la signora del desk front notturno - Suki Li e il giovane del desk front da giorno - Alan Cheng. Sono andati indietro per aiutare soprattutto con il mio poutonghua limitato, parlando in cantone invece. Hanno aiutato con le prenotazioni di taxi quando non potevo perché non avevo un numero mobile locale più cercando di utilizzare la macchina di vendita automatica che era codificata come QR per norma in Cina. Il colazione era una miscela di cibo orientale e occidentale. Sono lieto che l'hotel abbia un buon brindisi inglese, a differenza di molti altri che abbiamo soggiornato, in aggiunta, la macchina da caffè autoservizia può produrre un caffè decente che soddisfa la moglie ( 2 colpi di espresso più 1 piatto bianco o 1 Americano). L'unica denuncia che ho avuto è che non c'è latte o latte fresco disponibile nella stanza per fare tè o caffè, è un problema che la gestione dell'hotel dovrebbe considerare in un prossimo futuro. Non ho esitazione a raccomandarlo.
