UUtente ospiteHotel room is very clean and spacious. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful. As our flight is in the evening, the hotel agreed to our request for late checkout. After checkout, the Reception staff offered to seat us at their restaurant when they noticed we were having some snacks. Hotel location is excellent, withe the Zhujiang Food Street within walking distance. There are also food outlet where you can have breakfast. We will book this hotel during our next visit.

SSurewin27We chose this hotel primarily for its proximity to the Shantou railway station. The night prior, we stayed at a nearby Hampton but had a disappointing experience, so this was our first stay with a local Chinese chain brand.
Check-in was smooth and efficient, although no English was spoken at the front desk. We had requested a higher-floor, quieter room via WeChat in advance and were initially assigned Room 602. Upon entering, the room appeared clean and well-maintained.
However, we encountered an unusual and inconvenient issue with the Wi-Fi. Guests are instructed to turn on the TV to access the Wi-Fi password, but we discovered that the TV must remain on in order for the Wi-Fi to function. This was confirmed by multiple staff members, including what appeared to be a front desk supervisor. This setup was quite disruptive, as the TV screen is bright and cannot be dimmed, and the work desk is positioned directly in front of it.
To their credit, Ms. Lin—responded promptly and offered to move us to another room (also 602, but with a different layout). The new layout was more practical, with the desk positioned at a 90-degree angle from the TV, which helped mitigate the issue somewhat.
That said, the second room had its own drawback: there was a noticeable gap in the window, which allowed in road noise. Since we stayed over the weekend, traffic noise and honking were quite noticeable at night. In addition, we heard neighbors chatting and laughing past midnight.
Lotion could be a nice addition too. A small humidifier with scented oil definitely gave a zen touch.
Aside from these two issues (Wi-Fi dependency on the TV and sound insulation), the overall stay was comfortable. As a gesture of goodwill, the hotel provided complimentary breakfast. While we are not typically breakfast eaters, we did try the noodle station. The offerings were entirely Chinese-style. One suggestion would be to label the protein options more clearly (in Chinese or English), as we observed multiple guests asking staff about them—one of which turned out to be pig’s heart.
Overall, this was a good introduction to a Chinese domestic hotel brand. I learned that they got a few locations in Europe. While there are areas for improvement, particularly in technology setup and soundproofing, the service recovery effort and general room quality made for a satisfactory stay.

I booked this hotel primarily for its fantastic location near the food scene. It is incredibly convenient to get to **Zhujiang Food Street**: just turn left from the hotel’s main entrance, walk straight for about 5 minutes until you reach the traffic light, turn left, and you are right there!
🛎️ Service
The customer service here is exceptional. Both the front desk and the housekeeping teams were incredibly friendly and welcoming—a huge thank you to everyone! Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

That said, when comparing the specific amenities—particularly the washing machine and dryer facilities—with the **Mehood Lestie Flagship Hotel (Shantou MixC)**, I still prefer the MixC location.

I am highly satisfied with the customer service standards across the Mehood Lestie brand. Their staff truly makes a difference and always ensures we feel welcome. After two separate stays with the Mehood Lestie group, they will definitely be our top choice whenever we visit China in the future.
🥢 Bonus Food Recommendation!
Don't miss the shop right next door to the hotel selling rice noodle rolls (*zhu chang fen*) and *har gao* (shrimp dumplings). We ended up eating there for three consecutive days! The *har gao*, in particular, was exceptional—chewy, soft, and surprisingly juicy. Unlike the drier, prawn-only versions you usually get, these were incredibly moist and packed with flavor. Highly recommended!

The loft apartment showcases a striking modern design that is both artistic and inviting, creating an ideal environment for relaxation. Its convenient location is another significant advantage; situated near a variety of local and international dining options, the property is merely a 10-minute taxi ride from the high-speed railway station and the largest shopping district in the area. This makes it perfect for both culinary exploration and retail therapy.
A delightful highlight of my stay was the complimentary in-room breakfast for two. This included delicious Chinese dim sum alongside both sweet and salted soya milk, providing a wonderful start to the day. While there is no conventional television in the apartment, the presence of a projector, which supports in-app movies and screen mirroring for Apple and Android devices, offers a unique and enjoyable alternative for entertainment. Additionally, the apartment was equipped with an appropriate number of guest amenities and bathing necessities, ensuring a comfortable stay.
However, there were some drawbacks that warrant attention. One significant concern was the extremely slippery bathroom floor, which could pose safety risks. The addition of an anti-slip mat would greatly enhance guest safety. Furthermore, I found the storage water heater to be somewhat inconvenient, particularly during winter. Waiting 20 minutes for hot water after each shower was frustrating, especially for those who prefer longer showers.
Lastly, as an apartment without a reception area, the check-in process could benefit from clearer instructions. A more straightforward guide for guests would be advantageous.
In conclusion, while the accommodation offers numerous appealing features, addressing these noted drawbacks would significantly improve the overall guest experience.

I miei genitori, i miei sorelle e io abbiamo soggiornato per un totale di 3 notti nella loro 4 stanza di bagno.
È un alloggio bellissimo e decorato con cortile personale e interno. Non ho notato nulla di ovvio che posso lamentarmi circa la pulizia di questo posto, quindi 5/5 per la pulizia.
La posizione è perfetta (5/5). Al di là delle strade di luoghi alimentari che hanno buone rating, e super vicino al centro commerciale di Vance City (restauranti, negozi di lusso, dettaglianti e altro). In ogni caso, cabinare intorno a Shantou è davvero conveniente, veloce e conveniente. Anche se è affiancato tra altre aree residenziali elevate, una volta chiuse la porta non potevamo sentire molto rumore dall’esterno.
Il servizio è anche 5/5. Ci sono gratis pick-up e disaccoppiamento serviti dalla stazione ferroviaria. Ci sono tutti i giorni frutti freschi consegnati a noi, così come zuppa di pollo. Ci sono anche servizi di lavanderia gratuiti che apprezziamo davvero! Il personale era sempre pronto a aiutare e a fare raccomandazioni, e ci siamo sentiti molto ospiti e sono genuini nel fornire il miglior servizio possibile.
Le strutture sono 5/5 anche. Il asciugacapelli è la marca Laifen che è così forte e elegante. Forniscono asciugamani disponibili sopra quelle asciugamani riutilizzabili. I loro pantaloni sono fluffy e confortevoli. Sono come tutto quello che abbiamo bisogno.
Bonus: Il loro gatto residenziale e i suoi gatti sono adorabili!!!
Tutto in ogni splendida permanenza e rimarrei se avessi visitato di nuovo Shantou. Suggerimenti per il miglioramento: (1) più varietà nelle opzioni per la colazione (sostituito per 3 notti e si è sentito che alcune opzioni per la colazione sarebbero grandi), e (2) il gel di doccia, lo shampoo e il condizionatore sono un po' troppo duro per scoprire forse può considerare l'uso della stampa bottiglia.

UUtente ospiteHotel incantevole decorato in stile ricorrente all'inizio del XX secolo. La posizione è grande per esplorare la vecchia città e il porto. Esso è circondato da numerosi ristoranti e caffè. La stanza è molto confortevole e ben progettato per il prezzo. Anche se al livello 2 e di fronte alla strada, il livello sonoro è accettabile. Il suono si alza il pomeriggio e si calma la notte. Deve aggiungere che il personale è stato estremamente utile. Tornerà in futuro.
