JJasur MavlyanovWe recently enjoyed a 4-night stay at Mo Yan Homestay (莫颜·莫干山Villa环山溯溪美宿（庾村广场店)) with our two children. The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic, situated incredibly close to the hiking trails of Moganshan. The amenities are equally impressive, featuring a large outdoor pool, a rooftop barbecue area, and an additional ground-floor barbecue spot. There are plenty of cozy sitting areas both inside and around the hotel for relaxation.
For indoor entertainment, the hotel offers a spacious billiard table on the ground floor, as well as an arcade gaming set that our kids couldn’t get enough of. Speaking of the kids, they were thrilled with the children’s themed room we booked. The room’s balcony provided stunning views of the river, mountains, and lush bamboo forests that front the hotel.
But what truly sets Mo Yan Homestay apart are the hosts. They are among the best we’ve encountered in China, making us feel completely at home. This was our second trip to Moganshan, and thanks to the incredible hospitality at Mo Yan, it certainly won’t be our last. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you for your exceptional hospitality!

UUtente ospiteOverall, our stay was a bit disappointing, especially given the high reviews, which had set our expectations quite high.
Although the hotel is relatively new, it lacks proper maintenance. The swimming pool and sunbathing area were not very clean. There was mold building up in the shower, and the rug in the room looked old and dirty. Additionally, there were no doors separating the bathroom and toilet areas, which was inconvenient. Sound insulation was poor — we could hear people talking in nearby rooms and common areas quite clearly.
The hotel's location is right next to a busy road, which was not apparent from the photos. Contrary to the hotel description, there was no bamboo forest nearby, so our plan to escape the city for a peaceful countryside retreat didn’t work out as we had hoped.
On a positive note, the hotel staff were very kind and helpful. Some fruit and tea were provided free of charge, and the homemade Chinese-style breakfast was decent. The hotel is also within walking distance to the town center and several restaurants, which was convenient.

JJade TallowinWe had an amazing stay at this villa. The owners are by far the best part of the stay. They are so nice and friendly. The man drove us around town a few times and helped us prepare things for our bbq. He set everything up and cleaned it up. Whenever we offered to help he never allowed us. The room was immaculate when we arrived and everyday if we left the room no matter what time they would go up and clean it. We got fresh bedding and towels everyday which was not necessary but a very nice thought. Anything we needed we could just ask and they would help us. We did book this place over others based on they had a resturant but just be ware you need to have a minimum of 8 people in your party to use it. This was no problem for us though as we just ate in town down the road.
I would highly recommend this place for couples who want to sit and enjoy nature but also any families looking for a nice place to relax. They have an amazing garden and the pool was great too.
Honestly have no complaints! The games room was awesome too!

AAlexRJSuperb stay, in a perfect location amidst a bamboo forest, far from the crowds and making you feel fully relaxed and comfortable. The vibe at the house is super cozy, the place is extremely clean and beautifully decorated, with warm colors and a home-vibe all around. Ernest and his team were super supportive since the first moment of the reservation and assisted us immediately through WeChat if any question. We also enjoyed their exquisite Chinese local dinner set; it was tasty and fresh! The breakfast is also very delicious. Finally, the bedroom was really amazing, with one of the best views I’ve had in a countryside hotel by far; just spectacular to relax and get a perfect getaway from the city. We will definitely come back and recommend it to our friends. Thanks for all Ernest!!!

Può anche bruciare nel giardino.La stanza è al secondo piano, verso la piscina, molto aperta. È più raro vedere la giungla blu e bianca scalzando attraverso una grande finestra di terra. Dopo aver vissuto molti giorni, guidare alla piazza di Zhuang Village è anche molto conveniente. La strada montana è stata molto stimolante 🤣 Il capo e il capo sono molto carini ❤️ Grazie per il formaggio che il capo ha mandato e la sua piccola torta. Grazie per il suono del capo, aprire la jazz preferita, e'specialmente sicuro vivere a casa come se fosse tranquillo. Haha 🥰 Letti puliti e letti comodi sono anche comodi. Sono molto sorpreso per una person a che è difficile dormire per molto tempo. 11 auto sono state sbagliate, Mogan è entrato, il villaggio di Liu ha fatto un giro profondo. Il hotel ha fatto ☺️ Una vacanza molto accogliente, fortunatamente non ha scelto il popolo sbagliato, ha la possibilità di andare ancora 😁

2202656****Il giorno nazionale porta Bai a Mogan Mountain per scegliere il valle di Liu Mao. Ha sperimentato una notte confortevole e felice. L'hotel è in arte e paesaggio. La piscina senza frontiere e il prato fuori sono molto estremi. Tre film al giorno possono essere guardati.
Il ristorante è anche bello e pittoresco. Il pollo è particolarmente delizioso e abbiamo bevuto la zuppa. Il seta di carne fresca è delizioso.
Gli animali da compagnia di un hotel sono particolarmente lieti, non solo di portare gli animali da compagnia, ma anche di avere quattro gatti e un cane da soli.
Viviamo in una palestra di colore, ci sono due strati particolarmente grandi. Il piano superiore è una palestra che può uscire a vedere le stelle
I bambini e la mamma vivono molto comodi. Il pannolino del direttore dell'hotel è molto entusiasta. La consegna dell'acqua e aiuta a prendere i bagagli. Tutte le esigenze devono essere soddisfatte. E'un hotel barbaro che visita ancora una volta

JJuliaFThis is indeed a nice hotel with beautiful facilities, though there are things to improve , given the high price. Many comments mention that someone has added them on WeChat upon booking, communicating the details of the booking and reminding to make dinner reservations. Unfortunately , nobody has added me and I feel like we missed out many things because of that. For example, we didn’t know that every on-site activity is organized per certain hour , as we arrived around 3 pm we already missed most of them on that day. Also , because of the holiday, the famous castle Chinese restaurant was fully booked for dinner and the next day’s lunch so couldn’t appreciate it . We had to settle for a room service that had very limited options not to mention, was ridiculously overpriced . 300 yuan for three basic dishes like fried rice, stir-fried pork and pork ribs soup, small portions too. Pity. There was a buffet diner happening at another restaurant by the pool, but 460¥ per person seemed too expensive so we passed. Some other small things like broken locker in a changing room or plenty of leaves and trash from the trees in the pool that nobody bothered to clean - felt annoying, again, considering the price per night.
I’d still recommend this hotel for visiting at least once in your life. Service is mostly very good, breakfast more than decent, the heated outdoor pool is lots of fun even with the dry leaves floating on it. They have a game room, “activity village” with many things happening all day round ( watch the time though ) , the room I booked was nothing special but had everything we needed. It’s convenient to move around the territory on a “buggy” , they are very efficient. Only if you have a choice , maybe don’t come here on a national holiday so overall experience would be better.

UUtente anonimoWe just returned from a wonderful stay at Naked Stables, and it was such a memorable experience. This was meant to be the relaxing part of our trip, but with so many fun activities on offer, we found ourselves joyfully busy most of the day! There’s something for everyone — from horse and pony rides to pottery, yoga, archery, billiards, and children’s classes. Some activities are complimentary, while others are paid. There’s also a lovely spa and a large kids’ playroom on-site, which we didn’t have the chance to use this time.
The resort is set in the hills and surrounded by bamboo forests, so hiking to and from your room during the day makes for a great little workout. Do note there are quite a few stairs around the property and in the rooms themselves due to the terrain.
Guests get around by golf cart, which you can easily request through a WeChat mini program. We were graciously upgraded to a two-bedroom villa — a beautiful, cozy space that felt instantly like home. It was so peaceful and comfortable that it was tempting not to leave at all! The villa has a full kitchen and BBQ, so if you plan ahead, you can bring groceries and enjoy home-cooked meals with a view. Upstairs you’ll find the kitchen, living, and dining area, while the bedrooms are downstairs. There’s even a hot tub on the balcony, which our son absolutely loved and used every evening. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathrooms were spacious, with a tub by the window that let you soak while taking in the scenery.
The food was another highlight — fresh, flavorful, and truly farm-to-table. The resort’s own farm, just outside the gates, supplies much of the produce. There are three restaurants and a café on-site. The Western restaurant currently opens only on weekends, so during our stay we enjoyed all our meals at the Chinese restaurant, as Kikaboni (the smaller venue) was fully booked the evening we wanted to go. The breakfast buffet offered a nice mix of Western and Chinese options, all of which were delicious.
The staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. While not everyone speaks English, the managers do, and translation apps made communication easy when needed.
All in all, Naked Stables offers a perfect blend of nature, comfort, and activities — a place where you can be as relaxed or as active as you like.

The entire camp has such a calm, serene, almost zen-like atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful and well thought out. The design and layout of the place are stunning. There’s bamboo growing everywhere, adding to the natural, tranquil vibe. The cabins themselves are pretty modern and clean.
The staff we interacted with was incredibly kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful - even though there was a language barrier.
Whether we needed a ride somewhere around the camp (which was always available thanks to staff driving around regularly) or had a question, they were always happy to assist. Adding reception on WhatsApp made things even easier – they responded quickly to any requests we had.
The food was amazing. We especially loved the Chinese restaurant – every dish we tried was full of flavor.
There’s a communal pool and other fun activities like paddling, which unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy due to the weather. Still, it’s nice to know they’re available. There’s also a small animal park where one can see peacocks, goats, chickens and ducks. It’s also nice to just walk around the camp.
The views are just gorgeous, and the whole environment encourages you to relax and slow down. All in all, it’s the perfect place to unwind, recharge, and just enjoy some peace and the beauty of nature.
One small downside was that there was only one coffee machine available at breakfast, which led to a long line. We ended up buying coffee, which was a bit inconvenient—especially since we could’ve had coffee for free. 🤭

LLloydTThis is an older style hotel in a perfect location at the top of the mountain. We arrived on a cold evening during Spring Festival and walked at dusk up a steep path past two abandoned heritage buildings, then back via the road. The next morning a brisk walk to the sunrise viewing platform. Food at the restaurant was adequate. Have to smile at the shower recess, where a common error has been made: the short vertical handle should be inside, the longer horizontal handle should be outside to hold a towel, easy to reverse :-). Big surprise was that traffic on the mountain top is via an anticlockwise loop. When we left we started down the wrong way, and our navigator flipped between saying wrong way then right way. We phoned hotel reception and they didn’t seem to know. Eventually we reached an intersection where police sent us back the other way. Really surprising because there are traffic signs and speed signs as if the road is two-way, and we only saw one no entry sign, where our navigator tried to send us up the mountain on arrival, against the traffic flow. Oh well, just gotta concentrate. Moganshan is a great place to visit.
