It is located in a quiet area a bit away from the West Slope tourist district, and since it was built recently, the facilities are very clean. There are about 10 rooms, and the owner runs everything personally. They are very friendly and treat guests with great care, providing detailed transportation information about nearby tourist attractions and offering pick-up and drop-off services when moving around. I had a wonderful stay here, and if I have the chance, I would definitely like to stay again.

Tornato a questo hotel dopo 2 anni. Molto pulito, confortevole e situato proprio davanti a 1 della pista sciistica. Le staffe dell'hotel erano amichevole e forniscono un buon servizio. L'hotel è stato dotato di lavastoviglie e asciugamani che ci hanno offerto molte comodità. Anche se c'è una distanza dal centro del Resort & centro sciistico principale, ci sono stati autobus a disposizione ogni mezz'ora per arrivare e uscire. What a trip! The rooms are MASSIVE. It's essentially a full apartment. Very spacious and comfortable. The beds are extra extra large so perfect for families. For Western travellers, you may find the bed a bit hard. We were perfectly happy with it though. I personally will recommend Holiday Inn at the resort for those with kids. It's right next to the beginner tracks and that hotel hosts all the children activities and kids club. Though I don't know what the room is like. More from a location perspective. Wanda Jin Suites has 2 buildings. Best to get the 1st building as much closer to the beginner tracks and the service centre to rent ski gears. We were in the 2nd building. I will say from a location perspective, it was inconvenient for us as once you have snow boots on, it's a trek to carry your ski gears back and forth. There are lockers to put your ski gears in so we'll utilise that more next time. You do need WeChat though and if you don't have a local number, it gets difficult. If you're from Australia, just lose the 0 and add 18 at the front of your mobile number and that will get you through. But best to just get a local SIM to save you the hassle. But from a food perspective, they're right outside the building and short walk to the hot springs and the water park which is all included in the hotel fees. Including ski pass and going to the snow playground. At the snow playground, there's snowmobiles for kids to ride on amongst a lot of other activities. But that's extra money. Again, need WeChat. The hotel concierge when you check in will add you into their WeChat and you can ask them questions and they'll help you. Very convenient. It's an amazing place to come with kids. Water park is insane there and my son had a blast. The hot spring was also an amazing experience. Though very cold to get in and out of the hot springs at -20C. There are other activities outside the resort which hotel concierge will help you arrange. They can also shuttle you to the nearby village for more authentic food if you don't want to eat inside the resort. Beaware that the pharmacy at the resort does not have any ibuprofen or paracetemol. Strongly advise you get WeChat. You can book pretty much all the activities through their WeChat mini app. Including ski coaches. There are rogue ski coaches coming up to you to get business so beware. We almost got on a shuttle with a rogue coach that were gonna take us elsewhere and weren't even letting adults come (it was for the kids) and a hotel staff came up and essentially stopped them and forced them to give back the deposit. Book your coaches early. They book out quick. Particularly snowboarding. We also booked an igloo making class for our son and he had an amazing time. Though it's all in Mandarin of course. They have half day and full day camps for kids so parents can drop off and chill for the day. The staff here can barely speak English so bring your AI translator with you. We had less of a problem since I can speak Chinese but my husband often got stuck and needed me or even my son to help navigate around. Make sure you go back to the counter after returning your ski gear at the end of your stay to get your deposit back. We had an amazing time and would consider coming back.

It was my first time staying at Park Hyatt Changbaishan, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The butler service was truly exceptional, and a special shoutout to Romy, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. She was incredibly caring and thoughtful, helping us arrange transport and even assisting with sending a parcel back to Malaysia. We were here for a birthday celebration, and she surprised us with a free room upgrade, which made the trip even more special. The food at the hotel was delicious and comforting, though we do hope for more variety in the future. The breathtaking views and the overall experience were perfect, and we can’t wait to return for another stay. One suggestion for improvement: it would be great if there were a map to make the area more tourist-friendly. There are many shops around the hotel, but we didn’t realize this until after skiing. A guide would make exploring the area much easier for guests. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!
