Great service, very attentive without disturbing conversations. Filled our glasses as soon as they were empty. They didn’t have the requested bottle of rose so gave us a magnum of a different bottle instead. Portion sizes of each course were great. Food tasted amazing.Cleared plates away quickly between courses. The venue and decor itself was beautiful. We got many pictures. We would like to really highlight Eloise and Sean who served us. They were fantastic and made our visit so enjoyable and smooth.

We visited here for my birthday and stayed last night and had the most amazing time. We had read some of the reviews before we came and to be honest were a bit nervous as some of the reviews painted a terrible picture. Our experience was nothing short of spectacular, from the minute we arrived the girls on reception were friendly and fun, we then went to the bar where the waiting staff were also young and friendly and although extremely busy very efficient. We then went outside to the pool area where different waiting staff were as good as the ones inside and it seemed even busier. Our meal in the evening was at the Thai restaurant and although it wasn’t cheap it was excellent food and well worth the money. We had one of the Decadent rooms and they were exactly as advertised, very unique and classy. The huge copper bath that’s filled from the ceiling is a gimmick that totally hits the spot and it’s probably what they’re most famous for. The rooms are quite dark which we had seen some people complaining about but that’s all part of the ambiance and was perfect for us. Breakfast the next morning was again lovely and again all the staff were super friendly and the food was really good. The tea and coffee just kept coming and the staff could not do enough for us. When we checked out the staff were again all super friendly and great fun. We will definitely be back and sooner rather than later. Don’t believe all the negative reviews go and make your own mind up

My husband and I recently stayed at the Crazy Bear Hotel in Beaconsfield on Thursday, 13th June, and unfortunately, our experience did not live up to the "one of a kind" and "remarkably memorable" stay advertised on their website. Having always wanted to stay at the Crazy Bear, I took advantage of their Cyber Monday sale last November and purchased several vouchers: Gold Package - Overnight Stay and Bottle of Exclusive Adriana Champagne (in a Suite) - £404.50 Seven Course Signature Dinner with a glass of Lanson Extra Age Champagne (For Two People) - £79.12 2x Thai Massage: Monday-Thursday (60 minutes) - £89.50 Even with the discount, we spent around £500, so we had high expectations. In February, I emailed to make a booking for June but was told to call instead, as they don’t redeem vouchers via email. The lady who took my booking was rude and unhelpful, repeatedly reminding me that it was "really far in advance" and asking if I was "sure I wanted to book" - booking a £500+ hotel room four months in advance shouldn't be an issue. As our special day approached, we looked at photos and reviews online. Despite taking TripAdvisor reviews with a grain of salt, we were alarmed by the number of negative comments. Sadly, our experience confirmed many of these reviews. Booking Issues: We had three vouchers for our stay, including two Thai massages. A day before our arrival, we were informed that one of our massage appointments was canceled due to staff sickness, and they couldn’t reschedule it for the same day. Since we don't live nearby, we opted for a refund for both massages, and the cost (£89.50) was credited to our room. Room Cleanliness: Our suite was not up to standard. We found rose petals on the floor, presumably from a previous guest, dust on the table (see attached photos), and false eyelashes on my bathroom towel. Dinner Confusion: Despite pre-booking dinner and informing the hotel about our voucher, the restaurant had no record of our tasting menu booking. They handed us the a la carte menu, and we had to clarify that we’d booked a tasting menu voucher. There was confusion about which tasting menu we were supposed to have, with one staff member telling us they’d given us the wrong one. Although the staff were pleasant, the experience was disorganized and not relaxing. The seven-course tasting menu was served too quickly, and we were nearly done in an hour. We were also seated in a separate room on our own, so the ambiance was lacking. We overheard conversations between employees, including one staff member asking a superior if she could take home some wine. Once we finished our meal, the staff were nowhere to be found. A little frustrated, we assumed the bill would be added to our room, we went to the bar. Bar Experience: At the bar, a staff member rudely placed the dinner bill in front of us without explanation and walked off. We had to flag someone down to charge it to our room. We stayed for a few drinks, but the bar staff were un

First of all, from start to finish the service and attention to detail was incredible. We did a private dining evening for my husband’s 40th birthday and it was everything we wanted and more. A special thanks to Saanya who was brilliant, making us feel at ease and taking care of all of the details to ensure the night ran smoothly. The venue is perfection, the name cards for the table setting gave a personal touch & everything I requested for the evening was ready on time. Nothing was too much trouble and she was at hand to answer any questions or requests I may have had. Our host for the evening Fab, was the best service and host we have ever had at an establishment. Everyone was in awe of how efficient and polite he was, taking care of all the needs of the evening and it made us all enjoy the evening so much more. Every single one of us were taken care of, we all walked away from the evening thinking it was incredible. Great food, venue and most of all service. Thank you both so much for a magical evening, we appreciate it so much!

I chose to celebrate our first wedding anniversary at this 5-star hotel, as it held sentimental value for us—we had celebrated our first month together at the Thai restaurant in their London branch. Sadly, the London location has since closed, so I decided to surprise my husband by booking a stay at this alternative location. I reserved the “Cosy” room, and while it was comfortable enough, it did not meet the standards expected from a 5-star establishment. The attention to detail was lacking—there was rust on the shower curtain rail, a chip on the black toilet (which stood out even more since it wasn’t a standard white WC), and the walls were so thin we could hear conversations from the neighboring room, especially in the bathroom. To add to this, our room faced an unexpectedly busy road, which detracted from the peaceful ambiance we had hoped for. A thoughtful touch was a note on the bed that said "Happy Anniversary," but unfortunately, they misspelled our surname despite my having emailed the correct details beforehand. I had also requested strawberries dipped in chocolate and a bottle of champagne for our arrival. This request was made through the booking app, but I was told to call the hotel directly. After weeks of failed attempts to get through via phone, I resorted to emailing the hotel, only to be told to try calling again as they were receiving too many calls. My request was never acknowledged or fulfilled, which was deeply frustrating. Upon arrival, we waited until the standard check-in time of 3 PM for our room to be ready. We had booked a champagne afternoon tea, and while the food was lovely, the service was just okay. The staff did make a nice gesture by writing "Happy Anniversary" on our plate, which was appreciated. Dinner at the Thai restaurant was the highlight of our stay—the food was exceptional, and the service was impeccable. However, the entrance to the restaurant was difficult to find, and instead of guiding us, the receptionist merely pointed us in the general direction. Perhaps I’m expecting too much from a 5-star hotel, but I believe it's courteous to walk guests to their destination. Our night's sleep was disrupted despite the comfortable mattress, mostly due to the noise from the road and the thin walls. Check-out the next morning was disappointingly impersonal; the reception team didn’t bother asking how our stay had been and simply returned our deposit and processed the bill. Following our check-out, we had a lunch reservation with friends to celebrate our anniversary further. I had booked the champagne meal, which had a 50% discount promotion on Wednesdays. Upon sitting down, however, we were informed that the offer was no longer available, and we would have to pay full price if we wanted champagne. While the food was again delicious, the service was subpar, especially considering we spent nearly £500 on the meal. To top it off, they presented us with two plates featuring a “Happy Anniversary” message and som

Had a massage as a present and wasn't a good experience. Masseuse was very cold and sbrupt made me feel i was an inconvenience keep sighing and mumbling under her breath. Everything time she put pressure on the table was squeaky and there was a constant pump or extraction fan running that was so noisy

Would be nice to have tea & coffee facilities in the room. Well that’s it, the worst part over. My NEW husband & I celebrated our marriage that day at the Crazy Bear with our 2 best friends (witnesses ). Having read the reviews I was a quite worried, but we had the best time. Decor is quirky and opulently OTT but you know that if you visit the web site and it amused us. We dined in the English Restaurant, the food was fabulous and no complaints with the service. Every member of staff was pleasant, helpful and attentive. Makes you wonder what the people are like that complain!? It is expensive, and that May set expectations for some extremely high, but you can stay in a travel lodge if you’d rather. It was a special day for us and our stay at the Crqzy Bear Beaconsfield helped make it more special. Thanks Crazy Bear.

Booked as a mini'moon straight after our wedding, so disappointed and shocked at the stay! Our room had water coming out the roof all over the bathroom as we arrived, went to tell reception it was handled so rudely, told us 'well there's no other rooms' we didn't ask for another room and 'its just the trap from upstairs bathroom over filling' as my husband is a plumber we know that the water was dirty water then! And it was us that asked them to have it cleaned for us, as they wasn't going to!... no apology and left us waiting in the bar, we paid £36 for 2 drinks. There's also extra charges with and on everything. Being served for anything was met by unprofessional attitudes, as guest we constantly felt uncomfortable, which was deeply upsetting as was suppose to be a happy time for us!! Shame after the events that happened and as we was celebrating which they knew, there was nothing complementary, even with something small after the amount you pay to stay in the first place.
